[ SOLED] EMUI 3.1 roll back manually - Huawei Ascend P7

How to manually revert back to from lollipop to EMUI 3. on Kitkat.
I tried to install flashing boot.img and recovery.img and force update, but failed and bricked the phone.
No chance for transition pack since the phone is only in fast boot mode, wiped all data.
(All mistake, but please help)

Its not bricket
Flash Boot.IMG and recover.IMG from 3.1 and then use transition pack. first you have to bring up your system with lollipop / 3.1 - Think in EMUI not in Android.

Thank you.
Tried to get 3.1 recovery and boot img but dint get.
Solved the issue with firmwares already with me.
1. Extracted boot, recovery, cust, system image from 609 firmware and flashed all to the phone with adb flash command, phone went into bootloop.
2. Force updated with 800.app (transition pack) in dload folder of SD card, power off, still in boot loop.
3. Force updated with 609.app firmware.
YESSS I am back.
Seems the transition pack brought back the IMUI from 3.1 to 3.0

Yes, i tried that, but update failed each time.
I did mistake very first, that led to all these mess, tried to install 133 with EMUI 2.3 over the Lollipop, it failed, tried fastboot flash method for 133 again ended up in update failure with all .APP files. That moment I requested for help here.
The above mentioned method only helped me.

You cant falsh a EMUI 2.3 Version over emui 3.1 or 3.0. You have to downgrade. Pls use search!
3 threats are availiable with this issue. Think in emui not in Android.
We try it again.
On witch Version of emui / android your phone starts without touble?

OK, Now in detail.
I am very new to android phone, very new to all these procedures.
My phone after Update to Lollipop lost the key board, before trying any fixes i directly went for re installation.
Tried 133.APP but update failed,(Not aware of versions and other issues, to be honest) so i went for the boot.img, recovery.img extration and flashing using adb (as seen in many threads here), failed.
I tried wiping all data in phone.
So my phone was practically empty, only the flashed boot and recovery images.
Searched the post in forums found out 609, 621, 800 only after i did all wrong.

Okay i unterstand this:
Your phone was on b8xx / emui 3.1 at beginn?
Only keayboard issue was the Problem. And then you've tried to flash b133.
If thats correct you have to flash the last Rom thats booted up your phone. I think that was the lollipop beta. This Rom is not availible as full Rom! Only OTA Version. All *.IMG files must be flash via ADB. Than try to Boot up. If thats work you can downgrade via transition pack to b609 or b133 ......

Yes, thats exactly what happened.
Since there is no full rom available, i did something else to come out of the mess.
Any way I learned many things, learning by doing its the best.

okay - its that solved or not? I dont unterstand your answer...

Much easier to downgrade from EMUI 3.0 is install EMUI 2.3 ROM like B135/B138 via ADB .

Yes, I know that. 'Coz you only have to flash images using fastboot. But let me ask you, flashing images using abd/fastboot, will 2.3 stock recovery works? I will answer that, it is NO. Now, since the stock recovery of 2.3 is not working, do you think it is the correct way to fully revert back EMUI 3.0 to UI 2.3? The TUT will fully revert back your EMUI 3.0 to UI 2.3.
Anyway, I just posted this revised TUT just to help. Still users have a choice which way they will use.
1. The easiest way by flashing, but not fully reverted back 'coz of not working 2.3 stock recovery.
2. Or the hardiest one (needs patience) which 100% fully reverted back to 2.3.

Before it was the official B133SP01 it.
What is the solution? As described above tab through all the steps to do it?
Or is it just the "dload_3.0_down_2.3.zip" should flash and then go up the B133 stock rom?
How do I do that?

One of my friends tried this approach before I could have done that.
In the meantime, it has come to the phone switched off, and then on and off again. Did not stop the process.
Then power button is turned off. He has now reached a point where the recovery is emui2.3 above. However, none of update.app not run. Neither the B133 or B609. In each FAIL get feedback.
ADB is unable to use recovery mode.
I do not dare to start the downgrade to the 2.3 was not to become a brick. I'm afraid to ruin the phone.
Do you have any advice on this?
just copy the dload on sd and install (for me i get a force install)

Cant update nor rollback rom version

Hi someone, i hope...
Recently i do a bad upgrade (I think that i flashed recovery on boot, ups!) and after a long, long while i have the phone working again But....
I can't change rom!!!!
Now i have:
- B609 boot unlocked
- B609 stock recovery
- B609 (Flashed through CWM, the only way i can do it)
But i can't change rom, not by dload, neither twrp, neither cwm
Some help? Any idea?
I can flash every recovery and i have tried to roolback b133, update b620 and even b805, but it doesnt work
Can i try another solution?
Thanks in advance!
I'm having the same issue, neither the original stock rom with emui 2.3 or any 3.0 rom install on my p7, all roms ends with an error and after booting there's some apps missing
EDIT: I've followed the only two guides on this forum and still can't install stock rom emui 2.3
So no way to downgrade from b805???
Hey guys... Look @ my edited answer here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60766165
I'll try! Thanks!
Tonight i've discovered another issue... :-/
When i switch off the phone and connect usb for charging, the phone switchs on, no charging screen, it boots
I think your phone is "dirty". I dont know the right word in english. Try my solution and be happy
Ohhhh! No luck! It gives me the same error, install failed
I've tried to erase the partitions with fastboot and it says: Command nos allowed, i think' perhaps i have security on, but i dont know how to s-off this terminal
I've entered in engineering mode and i can see: fastboot P7-L10C900B805 while i am in b609 (b805 was installed before the fail) so i have to try to downgrade fastboot. Unfortunately it cannot be done with fastboot, again "Command not allowed" :-S
Try to make a install via fastboot with all partions. I think you can try it with b609. If that not work - i have no idea ! I think that you have to wait for full b805, install that via dload and then you can downgrade. The same issue i have with b609 @ beginn
Flash MyROM 3.3, then flash a 3.0 stock recovery. Now do a normal update to the full b609 using the dload folder. Use thw update feature from the settings menu, and not the 3 button method. From here you can do the same for b621 and then b805.
Hope that helps.

[solved] Stuck at B609, weird update behaviour

Hello all,
I want to get back to a "normal system" in order to upgrade to B830. What I did so far:
- When B830 wasn´t out, I changed vendor on B621 to "custc02_vodafone_za" in order to flash B817 --> went fine
- Planning to update to B830, tried to revert trough B800 transition package to B6xx, but got an error
- Few days later flashed B830 boot.img, then tried to flash B830 through dload (someone posted that that works – but not for me)
- Flashed MiUi 5.10.17, but android.system force closed
- Tried MyRom 3.3, but errors both in cwm and twrp
- Tried Se7en Rom 3.8 (based on B602), flashing went fine. But downgrade as in the description doesn´t work.
- Flashing of B609 through dload when on Se7en-Rom/ MiUi also fails
- Flashing flashable B609.zip worked finally
So, I am now on B609, but unable to flash B621/MyRom or whatever. The Update fails immediately.
Does anybody have an idea what I could do? I would really appreciate any help!
Best wishes!
try to replace the twrp/cwm recovery with stock b609 recovery..
then force upgrade b609 again..
after that maybe the b621 update may be flashed through local or force update..
finally the b623 should appear and then the b830 (if not then flash them through local update - especially the b623)..
hope this helps

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I already tried that without success, but forgot to mention. The same with 3.0to2.3-downgrade-package/B830/B817..
I assume that by changing the cust following this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/b817-vodacom-users-cust-error-changing-t3211386) guide, something went wrong. Before I did this, all was fine.
@majcomtech sorry for asking so directly, but could you imagine what my problem is? Or what else I could try to revert?
I thought a while about what I´ve done so far and came to the conclusion that downgrading using B800 transition pack failed due to my root access. Flasing Miui (based on Android 4.4) was a mistake and made things complicated.
So I thought about flashing system.img/cust.img/userdata.img/boot.img/recovery.img of B817. Is that a bad idea?
I just don´t want to make things worse and ask first.
Thank you!
I finally made it by flashing system.img/cust.img/userdata.img/boot.img/recovery.img of B817, flashing boot.img(of B830) then updating through dload to B830. B830 had some bugs (no motion control etc.) -->B800-->B621-->cust change back to eu-->reflash B621-->B623-->B830. Maybe this will help anyone, if in a similar situation..

1. Reboot to bootloader
2. Flash CWM 3.0
3. Reboot to recovery mode
3.1 Install from SDCARD1
a. Find My-RoMv3.3.zip
3.2 Back
3.3 Wipe data/factory reset.
3.4 Advance
3.5 Reboot to Bootloader
4. Flash stock recovery for 3.0
5. Flash B621
6. Flash vendor version you want
Now all are normal.
As i wrote above, I was able to solve the problem.. I already tested the way you described , but it didn´t work since I got alway errors in CWM/TWRP.
But now all is fine and thanks for your reply anyway!

Hi how did you change back to European cust in B621? I'm unable to have the right cust. Thanks
Sent from my HUAWEI P7-L10 using Tapatalk
You can find the cust files here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3211386) in Post #1. Flash them through dload on B621 and you should get back.
Im having something similar.
I have installed the s7ver rom, based on 602.
I changed the recovery to the base one.
Now i tried flashing the update.app from the 609.
tried by force update (Vol+ + Vol- + Power) and via updade from file.
both, give a "Software Update failed" just at start.
It boots normally
Any idea????
Thanks
Look in the Se7en-Rom-3.8 Thread, there is the process oft getting back described. It's because the Rom is based on B602, a beta which is not meant for L10 devices..

Need help to downgrade from Nougat to Stock Rom

Hi all, i've been trying to fix this for 2 days and still failed to get it working.
I regret that i quickly jump into the nougat build and would like to get back to stock rom for now.
I tried downloading all the ROMs at stock rom thread and keep on encountering error when update reached 51% with software package/update failed error message.
I'm using P9-L19 and hopefully can revert back to C636 roms.
Thanks.:crying:
have you try this?

As someone new to this, this seems kinda complicated.
I'll give it a try. Just have to follow the instruction in the video?
Download the stock rom to external memory card in dload folder and use this code in phone dialer
*#*#2846579#*#*
And select update system
Flash update in dload don't work
Please help
Is your bootloader unlocked? Do you have a twrp backup?
I don't know if that's a good idea, but you could wipe system partition in twrp then flash stock recovery and try stock rom again? Going by the assumption that your current system is causing the update to fail.
Maybe nougat beta has a new recovery that won't flash old firmware? So maybe try an old recovery?
I'm just brainstorming though, no idea if any of this works. So try at your own risk.

Hello, my P9 is 100% origin.
I managed to use an OTG cable and put the firmware (update.app) on a flash drive under the dload folder. then powered the phone off and pressed both the volume keys + power and the flashing started
you need to download full stock rom the same version as you have before upgrade to N. then try to flash via project menu (*#*#2846579#*#*)
if this method doesn't work you may need to goto recovery menu and wipe data/factory reset. then you might lost all your theme and system apps.
but you will be back to to stable stock rom. if you need to use theme and need the stock system app again to have to Root your device. and install data/hw_init via SRKTool
Hope this help.

Do you have the full stock rom link available? I tried to wipe data/factory reset and it still remains at 7.0.

After wipe data you need to dload stock rom again though
What is your build number before goto 7.0?

First unlock your bootloader - then use Huawei Update extractor to extract ( I suggest the C636B168 Rom) from the Update.App the recovery.img - after flash from an adb folder the recovery.img through fastboot - use the three button to install the Rom and you're ready.
Warning.. everything in your internal storage will be erased so make a backup first.

VIE-L29C636 half-bricked. Help needed

Earlier I upgraded my phone to VIE-L29C636B362 but there was huge battery drain so I decided to rollback to Android 6.
What I did:
- Flashed the rollback package -- successfully.
- Flashed B202, the latest ROM that I used without problem and the battery drain was modest -- successfully. I used the 'dload' map and three-button-push method. I had to flash two package; the big update app from the 'update.zip' and the content of 'update_data_full_hwspcseas.zip'. (It was strange that the second package was flashed very quickly, but seemingly all went well.)
- I checked: I got a VIE-L29C636B202 ROM. The phone worked but its behavior was a little bit strange. E.g. I could not change the icon set in Themes, every theme showed the same icons, most of them stock Android design.
- That is why I flashed the content of 'update_data_full_hwspcseas.zip' again, maybe from another package, obtained via Firmare Finder. I am not sure.
- Since then the phone does not boot, it always shows the Huawei eRecovery (see picture).
- I tried to flash from SD Card the B202 main update.app again, but the error message said it is wrong package. I tried to escape from the situation forward and flashed the B362. It started normally but after 37% aborted.
I don't know what to do now. The phone has NO root, NO TWRP, it is in factory state. The Bootloader is closed.
The Huawei eRecovery tried to download a package to repair the system but reported back that could not find any.
I get the same issue with icons remaining stock Street any flash as well.
Assuming you get back to running 202, you need to find the hwt file you want (should be links here on xda) and and copy it to root>data>hw_init>system>themes then reboot. You may also need a copy in HWThemes folder on internal storage.
I never need to flash anything other than the 202 file
Unfortunately I can't help with the brick issue.
Thanks for the advice, I'll use it but first I should revive my phone...
How long did you run 362? before you decide to rollback..?
Did you do an FR after update to 362?
ppl often panic when battery going crazy in the beginning of an update, that's why i ask.
to solve this issue you need to unlock bootloader , flash twrp then flash update.zip and hw_spcseas_data.zip then reboot , after reboot done just force flash update.app in dload folder by 3 button method then everthing will return to full stock state.

OK, I tend to try it. But which version's update.zip should I flash with TWRP? B202? It was the last working version on the phone, so I guess I have to use B202 again. Am I right?

any version you have just to make sure use correct version of twrp if you are on emui4 use twrp for emui4 then flash any version for emui4 , can do same thing if youare running emui5
Problem solved.
Finally the DC Phoenix (PC software) helped. I could flash B202 from scratch and I got back to the same status where I began. Working system but no Huawei themes. So I went to Nougat again: flashed the B370 ROM. Everything works well now. (Certainly I still don't evaluate the battery drain, it needs more time.)
