Reverting back from EMUI 3.0 to 2.3

From EMUI_3.0_for_P7-L10
1. Force update using EMUI 3.0 stock recovery the P7-L05-L07_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001C01B604 or P7-L05-L07_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001C01B606 on your P7 L07-L10 B604. (Just wait until it finish with error. Just ignore and let your phone boot). Note: If you are using CWM, flash EMUI 3.0 Stock recovery first using fastboot, if not just ignore and continue this step).
2. Next force update with dload_3.0_down_2.3. (Also, wait until it finish with error. Ignore and boot your phone again).
3. Next force update with P7-L07-L05_EMUI2.3_Android 4.4_V100R001C01B125SP03. (It will update using 2.3 stock recovery, just after a few second it will boot again into emui 3.0 recovery (sometimes it will hang from 2.3 stock recovery, just power off your phone and power it on again and it will boot into stock recovery 3.0 updating your phone). Just let it finish and an error will occur. Just ignore and turn your phone off and boot it again. Finally, you are in 2.3 firmware but you are still in L07.)
4. Next force update with P7-L10_V100R001C00B135SP03_BACK_TO_L10 and let it finish. And finally you are in 2.3 firmware with L10. (At this time you can now install any L10 2.3 firmware. But this firmware is a –test version only.)
5. Finally, install L10 firmware you want. Like: Huawei_Ascend_P7-L10_V100R001C00B135_Israel_Android_4.4.2_EMUI_2.3 or B138.

Much easier to downgrade from EMUI 3.0 is install EMUI 2.3 ROM like B135/B138 via ADB .

Yes, I know that. 'Coz you only have to flash images using fastboot. But let me ask you, flashing images using abd/fastboot, will 2.3 stock recovery works? I will answer that, it is NO. Now, since the stock recovery of 2.3 is not working, do you think it is the correct way to fully revert back EMUI 3.0 to UI 2.3? The TUT will fully revert back your EMUI 3.0 to UI 2.3.
Anyway, I just posted this revised TUT just to help. Still users have a choice which way they will use.
1. The easiest way by flashing, but not fully reverted back 'coz of not working 2.3 stock recovery.
2. Or the hardiest one (needs patience) which 100% fully reverted back to 2.3.

Copy only the sdcard, dload folder and run the phone with 3 buttons.

Just flash as normal firmware. It works.Not locally!!

One of my friends tried this approach before I could have done that.
In the meantime, it has come to the phone switched off, and then on and off again. Did not stop the process.
Then power button is turned off. He has now reached a point where the recovery is emui2.3 above. However, none of update.app not run. Neither the B133 or B609. In each FAIL get feedback.
ADB is unable to use recovery mode.
I do not dare to start the downgrade to the 2.3 was not to become a brick. I'm afraid to ruin the phone.
Do you have any advice on this?

just copy the dload on sd and install (for me i get a force install)

[Q] Unable to downgrade Ascend P7-L10 from B609 to B133SP01

Hi to all!
I have a Huawei Ascend P7-L10 originally, ver. B133 (V100R001C00B133SP01)
It is ROOTED, with a custom (CWM Based 6.0.5.0) recovery, EMUI 3.0 and, actually, ver. B069.
I would to downgrade the device to its original version, with EMUI 2.3 and version B133SP01. I have tryed different ways but every time it stuck at some point (generally around the end or start a loop procedure, without never complete it) in the process of the “UPDATE” from recovery.
This are the steps that I follow: I first put back the original recovery because, otherwise, with the CWM recovery, the UDATE (Downgrade) not start at all.
After of this, I copy the version for restore (“transition Version” or whatever I have tried from Huawei) with “dload” folder in the root of my ext. SdCard.
After, from the EMUI Updater I start the procedure. The device go in to recovery, start the procedure and, generally at the end (about 90 or 95%) the procedure freezes!
I tried also with forced upgrade, unfortunately, with the same result.
What is wrong in my procedure? Maybe have I to unroot the device before I start the process? Or what else?
Please, I am very frustrated... can someone help me to finish the downgrade successfully?

Check which stock recovery you have put (you first need EMUI 3.0 stock recovery) than install EMUI 3.0 ROM and then use this tool (provided by Huawei) to downgrade to EMUI 2.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/emui-3-0-to-emui-2-3-official-downgrade-t3043700

Cant update nor rollback rom version

Hi someone, i hope...
Recently i do a bad upgrade (I think that i flashed recovery on boot, ups!) and after a long, long while i have the phone working again But....
I can't change rom!!!!
Now i have:
- B609 boot unlocked
- B609 stock recovery
- B609 (Flashed through CWM, the only way i can do it)
But i can't change rom, not by dload, neither twrp, neither cwm
Some help? Any idea?
I can flash every recovery and i have tried to roolback b133, update b620 and even b805, but it doesnt work
Can i try another solution?

I'm having the same issue, neither the original stock rom with emui 2.3 or any 3.0 rom install on my p7, all roms ends with an error and after booting there's some apps missing
EDIT: I've followed the only two guides on this forum and still can't install stock rom emui 2.3

Tonight i've discovered another issue... :-/
When i switch off the phone and connect usb for charging, the phone switchs on, no charging screen, it boots

I think your phone is "dirty". I dont know the right word in english. Try my solution and be happy

I've tried to erase the partitions with fastboot and it says: Command nos allowed, i think' perhaps i have security on, but i dont know how to s-off this terminal

I've entered in engineering mode and i can see: fastboot P7-L10C900B805 while i am in b609 (b805 was installed before the fail) so i have to try to downgrade fastboot. Unfortunately it cannot be done with fastboot, again "Command not allowed" :-S

Try to make a install via fastboot with all partions. I think you can try it with b609. If that not work - i have no idea ! I think that you have to wait for full b805, install that via dload and then you can downgrade. The same issue i have with b609 @ beginn

Flash MyROM 3.3, then flash a 3.0 stock recovery. Now do a normal update to the full b609 using the dload folder. Use thw update feature from the settings menu, and not the 3 button method. From here you can do the same for b621 and then b805.

[ SOLED] EMUI 3.1 roll back manually

How to manually revert back to from lollipop to EMUI 3. on Kitkat.
I tried to install flashing boot.img and recovery.img and force update, but failed and bricked the phone.
No chance for transition pack since the phone is only in fast boot mode, wiped all data.
(All mistake, but please help)

Flash Boot.IMG and recover.IMG from 3.1 and then use transition pack. first you have to bring up your system with lollipop / 3.1 - Think in EMUI not in Android.

Solved the issue with firmwares already with me.
1. Extracted boot, recovery, cust, system image from 609 firmware and flashed all to the phone with adb flash command, phone went into bootloop.
2. Force updated with 800.app (transition pack) in dload folder of SD card, power off, still in boot loop.
3. Force updated with 609.app firmware.
YESSS I am back.
Seems the transition pack brought back the IMUI from 3.1 to 3.0

Yes, i tried that, but update failed each time.
I did mistake very first, that led to all these mess, tried to install 133 with EMUI 2.3 over the Lollipop, it failed, tried fastboot flash method for 133 again ended up in update failure with all .APP files. That moment I requested for help here.
The above mentioned method only helped me.

You cant falsh a EMUI 2.3 Version over emui 3.1 or 3.0. You have to downgrade. Pls use search!

OK, Now in detail.
I am very new to android phone, very new to all these procedures.
My phone after Update to Lollipop lost the key board, before trying any fixes i directly went for re installation.
Tried 133.APP but update failed,(Not aware of versions and other issues, to be honest) so i went for the boot.img, recovery.img extration and flashing using adb (as seen in many threads here), failed.
I tried wiping all data in phone.
So my phone was practically empty, only the flashed boot and recovery images.
Searched the post in forums found out 609, 621, 800 only after i did all wrong.

Okay i unterstand this:
Your phone was on b8xx / emui 3.1 at beginn?
Only keayboard issue was the Problem. And then you've tried to flash b133.
If thats correct you have to flash the last Rom thats booted up your phone. I think that was the lollipop beta. This Rom is not availible as full Rom! Only OTA Version. All *.IMG files must be flash via ADB. Than try to Boot up. If thats work you can downgrade via transition pack to b609 or b133 ......

Yes, thats exactly what happened.
Since there is no full rom available, i did something else to come out of the mess.
Any way I learned many things, learning by doing its the best.

Yes, Now its ok, running on 621 with emui 3.0, but it takes some ram for graphics or so, show 1.85 Gb only dont know whether its normal.

OTAs do work with an unlocked bootloader, but not with root or custom kernels.

Does this works with the P10? In the post i ddin´t found the P10.
And if it works, wich zip file i have to choose? And i have root

Try my guide (Tutorial #2, Oreo to Oreo)
After that do a factory reset with eRecovery (boot with Vol+ and connected USB).
What also should work is flashing the system.img manually via fastboot.
For this extract the system.img from the correct firmware version with Huawei Update Extractor.
Connect your phone to your PC, boot into fastboot and flash with "fastboot flash system PATH\TO\SYSTEM.IMG".
After that do a factory reset with eRecovery (boot with Vol+ and connected USB).
Note for the next time: backup your system partition via TWRP before flashing the custom rom.
Also note that a factory reset is needed, without your phone won't boot, so backup your personal data before doing it.

Yes, it works on the P10. You can download the files with the firmware finder app. I'd recommend the newest oreo version for your customisation (e.g. B382 for C432).
But Jannomag's solution should work equally well.

Possibly you renamed the wrong customisation file (i did it once for the 09 while I needed the 29).

Which one did you download? And did you flash manually or did you use my script?
Download my oeminfo, it's from VTR-L29C432 Version 8.0.0.380, while the version doesn't really matter.
Flash it via TWRP using "Install" and "Use Image". Flash it to oeminfo partition. Then do my update script again.

I followed the guide to do Oreo to Oreo - basically wanting to get from custom Rom (fRomFuture B370) back to stock, so I chose the same firmware version to extract. Flashed everything with the script and it went fine and it boots and works.. but
The resolution seems to be off, too low and the right side of the screen is unresponsive to touch (about 1cm )
EDIT- Rolled back to fRomFuture B370 for now - need to find a way to get back to stock, as want to move on to Openkirin ROM instead
