Hi.
AT&T uses GSM network if im not wrong, if I am in the wrong forum please notice me (thats the kind of network we use in Israel)
Anyway, before two weeks I got my galaxy s6, I benchmarked it couple of times on 64bit (yesterday and today)
the result was yesterday 65482 and today it was about 63800
I dont know why its like this, I moved from Apple iPhone 5 to Samsung Galaxy S6 and I am new to android
Is it good or not? because I saw on forum results with 70000+.
Thanks for youre help
I get a between 63,000 and 65,000. I doubt 70,000 is stock

Love this Tab so far but wishing we had a root. I know that Geohot's rooted the 12.2 Pro, but now that he works Google, I doubt this one is going to get rooted by him.
I know Chainfire does a lot of roots for Samsung, but I don't think he has done any ATT products because of our wonderful locked bootloader.
Anybody have some insight on thinking if this will be rooted or not in the future?
Thanks
this!!! I check these forums several times a day, religiously, hoping for news for an att root... fingers crossed bro

A few days ago I rooted my Note 3, freezed lot of bloatware and started to use greenify. Now the phone is a beast. I wish I could do the same with my Tab S. Hope to see some good news about root possibilty...
I'm loving this tablet, but I know I'd love it more rooted.. I see development is taking off for the international versions. I hope some intelligent soul gets his/her hands on the ATT model...

I really wish that this could be rooted. I am finding that this is already quite laggy and I really want to put most of my apps on my SD card.
I'm waiting on the sprint tab s 10.5 root, I heard someone say if you can get the original recovery.img file (or something similar to that...I can't remember everything exactly) and send it to chainfire he can root it for you. I've been trying to figure out how to do it on mine but I suck when it comes to sdk & adb.
Well I used to be so up to date on rooting/roms/recovery things when I had my HTC a few years back. Then my job went strictly iPhone so all that was put on the back burner. Needless to say I'm getting the AT&T TabS tomorrow. While trying to search and read the insane amount of information on this site I'm overwhelmed.
Simply put I'd just like to know if the AT&T LTE version with snapdragon can be rooted so I can debloat and enjoy. Please help haha.
As of now there is no root for the att lte version of the tab s. Att devices have locked bootloaders in which makes it harder for rooting those tablets. For non root users I just disable apps I dont use and use greenify to hibernate apps I dont use.
Ok cool thank you very much, I was reading so many things that I couldn't make heads or tails of it.
also, ATT tab S has the exynos processor, not snapdragon..

Just read this online. French carrier, SFR has revealed the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, and LG G3. Sorry don't know how to paste a link.

January. Not too bad I guess.
But S5 already start receiving 5.0 update in Poland

Is anyone else annoyed that the S5 is getting the update first?
Note 4 is the companies most latest phone . I expected it to get lollipop first or at least in parallel with the S5. Feel really cheated. I upgraded from my Note 2 to my Note 4 because I understand newer devices get the latest firmwares first and here a 6 month old phone is getting the update first. I guess it because the S5 is more common right?
Anyway very annoyed why should I go and get the latest hardware if its going to be shuffled aside and not get updated first
I wouldn't be too butthurt over a ~4 week wait. The core functionality of your phone will remain fundamentally the same once you upgrade anyway.
And yes, I do believe it's because the S series is considered more mainstream than the Note line.

as an owner of... well every samsung because i'm an addict, i can explain why.
1. The S5 had poor sales. They want to kick up its popularity and 'apologise' to owners of it by letting them get 5.0 first
2. The note 4 is the only samsung to get 4.4.4 - so it makes sens to get the update last of the modern phones, as its already ahead.
3. it means we get it after the S5 owners work out all the bugs, right now they cant get root working reliably, and no mods or deodexing are even possible.
SEARCH first before post!!!

The same thing happened with note 3, Poland an update really early. Then kitkat was given to DBT. Its just a matter of time. There is no need to rush it.
Mod Edit
As has been mentioned , Lollipop thread is here:

Thank you Samsung for letting down the 910U. There are absolutely no excuses to take so much time to update all variants. Too many variants and inability to maintain them... Never expected releases to come as fast as on my Nexus 5, but that bad is really a shame (Other manufacturers have already updated their flagships)
With all these different models of the same phone, Samsung has managed to create an extra fragmentation level of the already fragmented Android. Amazing.
And I don't want to hear that is maybe because we'll get a newer version than 5.0.1 or an improved Touchwiz (Like was speculated as an explanation for the very slow initial rollout of Lollipop). Most likely well get finally 5.0.1 when everybody will be on 5.1
I came back to Samsung after a few years (My last one was a Tab 7.7). Definitely amazing hardware each band every time. The software side (incl speed of new releases) is still a shame.

Have to agree on the hardware front. Amazing, sleek and sexy. For the OS part though it's definitely a let down. I wish they would just apk all of their bloat and just let us use it on any non tw OS. No hidden or private api baked into a slow ui. My sister is running a S4 and laughing because she has LP and I can't even get it. Hell it's not even announced for my version.
i speak for 910G users and its a pathetic logic for 910G as well..... 910F got the update so why dint the 910G......it will be good if samsung can get their **** together and concentrate on a single processor and give its users what they pay for
I wonder if they limit variations because there's not any more letter in alphabet or what?

pretty crap when the F and G use the same hardware but different bootloader and modems - would have taken very little time to get a global release for the two models at the same time.
Calm Down untill the Final Release
SM-N910C user here, I feel your pain But you guys should not forget that the Lollipop releases for Note 4 are not final , are more like test builds thats why it is not availble outside of the world except Poland. In essence , more than 90% of Note 4 users didn't receive Lollipop. I have installed Lollipop and I am pretty confident that it needs some tuning and fixing before the worlwide roll out so hopefuly every use gets straight the Final build in some weeks time and not a test build like some lucky N910C-F users!
The Real let down would be in the case where the Final Worlwide release is ready for some variants and not for everyone or the others who didn't receive the final update and receive a test build like now Here there is no space for excuses
Thank you for alcibiade for another whiner thread. For God sake get a life, the note's 4 lollipop update isn't that earth shocking. In general KitKat works as good (or some respect even better) as Lollipop.

Thank you too rj3005. Now you (unwittingly) bring a bit more to this thread. I wasn't even complaining yet, but indeed, contrary to the Nexus Series (I own a 5 and a 7) the Samsung version of Lollipop is indeed not so much of a change compared with KitKat. Less material design, still lags here and there (I honestly don't know since I unfortunately still do not have an update for my 910U............). Samsung has amazing hardware (And that s why I picked the Note 4) but Software wise.... Honestly....
Anyway let s hope the S6 brings finally a decent Touchwiz we may all benefit from..

We can only hope to receive the so called "revamped" touchwiz from the S6 on the note 4

Its not about getting life or what, but put urself on our shoes. What would u feel if everyone's got the lollipop amd u were left alone not having it? Good or bad is another matter. Being up to date is what xda is all about. At least that is why i joined xda.
I am totally with you, i know samsung for long time, and i know that they will not release the 5.1 for the 910u version because we didn't get the 5.0.1. in fact, we will get the 5.0.1 when the C gets close to the 5.1 . i am not mad or saying this because i hate samsung, i replied to tell you again Don't give your hopes on samsung to give you something that you want. I can tell from now that we can get the 5.0.1 version in 15 days from now, but without any change of the C version and maybe more buggy than it .

I do hope indeed...
Again the hardware on Note 4 is amazing (That's why I bought it over the Nexus 6). Hopefully Samsung will get its act together and deliver decent software (from an AOSP perspective) KINF OF on time....

I agree i purchased the 910U over the 910G in australia and now i wished i got the C. Im sure when lollipop comes finally for the U porting C roms will become the norm and we'll keep up to date. God knows as well as us that samsung wont keep up..
I live in HK where U is the default model.
Weeks are passing... Still no sign. This is really not serious for a phone that's less than 6 months old.
Yep its a big fkn joke.
You should try being in Canada with a W8 model
The W8 model of of the note series is always the last to be updated let's just hope we get a fixed version.
Phone runs fine without Lollipop. If you read about how many are switching back from Lollipop, not in any hurry to get it myself.
Yes I switched back. You're missing nothing yet people. To me it really felt like a beta, battery drain, needs refining. I can deffo see the potential, its noticeably snappier when it's working right
And why oh why do people keep contributing to what they call whiney threads?! And whining themselves about them! Nothing wrong with whining every now and again, should people on forums all be constantly happy? Is it written in the rules?
Please of please skip the thread of it upsets you so much! Ffs!
I too am upset and want to wine, getting really impatient
I have the 910U From new Zealand on Spark network...

To be fair the issues encountered with the first versions of Lollipop should be put to the credit of Google. On that they screwed up massively and even the Nexus line suffers from it (I also have a Nexus 5 and a Nexus 7). It's hard to blame the phone makers on this.
Nevertheless time passes by, most of flagships have been updated to Lollipop and... quite a number of Note 4 haven't. Samsung weakness on the software side is blatant (while they indeed design excellent hardware, the Note 4 and the S 6 are very good example of this)

Hello everyone. I'm a casual installer of custom roms for my past few android phones, latest phone I did new install was for my Galaxy S2 i777 model to have Cyanogenmod 10.2 installed into it. Unfortunately my phone fried on me after some electrical issues at my apartment recently so I went ahead and got a new back-up phone until I'm able to afford a better phone in the near future. Luckily I ran my auto backup and have the latest files saved through my dropbox so nothing lost.
I went to get a cheap GSM phone and I got a Galaxy Exhibit SGH-T599 for $49.99. I like the features within it, and definitely a pretty powerful little machine for its price. I was able to root it with KingoRoot with ease, but I'm interested in installing a custom rom. Not much found through my searching. The closest I found were these links:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2790570
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2713695
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747476
I tried each one but none got installed correctly. I'm highly interested in having Kit Kat installed, but no support yet for this phone through Samsung and T-Mobile. I was wondering if anyone else also ran into the same problem that I'm having, and if there's a good custom rom that I can fully utilize? I would appreciate any help on this matter.
This forum is for the t679 exhibit, originally named the Exhibit II, now named Galaxy Exhibit. Yours is a Galaxy S3 Mini with a different name. Search for that and you should find some info on it.
