Anyone here knows how to repair a defective speaker on the galaxy gear 1? It was working before but all of the sudden it stopped. I've checked the volume and increased it to 15 but to no avail. And any info on how much would it cost if i bring it directly to samsung? Thanks!!!

i resetted twice...
please help...
or ma weekend would ruined....
Dial a free number and check the loudspeaker and earpiece. If one is giving sound and the other is not, one is broken (probably hardware). If you have a headset, try that too (again, to confirm sound is actually being output).
When you say "reset", do you mean wipe the device and restart or reboot? Reboots carry volume settings, you might have just accidentally muted the audio output.
Call samsung

My Piece was the first all region replaced piece...
thats why bill rocks....
My speaker plays music no problem. When I place a call I can hear the person on the other line. They can hear me for 2 seconds then they can't hear me..... Faulty speaker maybe? Is there a way to turn up the input sensitivity or Idk..... I just need help

Their hearing you is the mic, not the speaker. I wouldn't fool with it, I'd bring it to a DSC (if your local store isn't one, ask where the nearest one is) and ask for an exchange if they can't fix it there (which they probably won't even try).
Make sure you have EVERYTHING backed up - all you'll get back are your SIM, your SD card and your battery. You'll have to reinstall everything.
(This is the kind of bug that limits the lifespan of a firmware developer to about 25 years, after which he turns into a tree and refuses to accept mental pain any more. Or there's a timer in your phone that shoves a sound insulator into the mic after it's been on for 2 seconds. Thinking this way is WHY firmware developers refuse to think after a while.)
After taking my galaxy s5 about 2 or 3 times into saltwater / seawater, i soon noticed that the speakers were damaged and (partly) not working. The front (ear) speaker does not work at all, while the back speaker is strange, it works only with ringtone, calls, and alarms, other apps like music or video app don't work.
I am just posting this here with the purpose of getting some info before taking it to the repair shop, maybe i can save some money or time and fix at least the back speaker myself, since it shows signs of life.
Sooo, anyone have any ideas or solutions for my case? Thanks!
P.S. posted here after not finding anything on google.
Try washing it in fresh water a few times to remove the salt
Has anybody had any issues with the bottom microphone on their S10 plus not working?
If I'm on a call the person on the other end can hardly hear me. If I hold the phone upside down and speak into the top mic or put the call on loudspeaker they can hear me fine.
I sent the phone to a Samsung authorized repair centre and they said the microphone was faulty but they wouldn't cover the repair because knox was tripped and they wanted me to pay for a new motherboard.
Has anyone had any similar issues or any success with changing the microphone?
TIA.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine, but his phone was under warranty and, indeed, his motherboard was replaced. After about a year it happened again and he sent it back for repair. My friend suspects it happened because of the strong electromagnetic fields at work ... Fortunately, everything was repaired for free under warranty.

How they know Knox was tripped? Did you flash your stock rom before you took for repair?

I did but once knox is tripped there's no way of hiding it.
Once they put it into download mode they'll see it's been rooted at some stage.
Did you try to replace mic? I have noticed my mic has a low volume only during phonecalls. When I record video it's normal.
