Here's the thread in Android Q and A:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3166457
There is some public information out there specific to the Nexus 6 that is partially good news, but ambiguous. Forbes magazine interviewed Joshua Drake, the security researcher who reported the vulnerability to Google:
At the time of publication, the [Google] spokesperson had not responded to a question on the availability of a patch for Google’s own Nexus phones. Drake said the Nexus 6 running the latest firmware was patched against some of the issues, but not all, though he couldn’t be more specific.

But in an update, Forbes added this:
FORBES understands Google has not sent out patches for Nexus owners. Indeed, it seems thus far that not a single manufacturer has shipped a fix for users.
Google confirmed the Nexus updates would not be rolling out until next week. “As part of a regularly scheduled security update, we plan to push further safeguards to Nexus devices starting next week. And, we’ll be releasing it in open source when the details are made public by the researcher at Black Hat,” a spokesperson said.

Just finished flashing LMY48I to my nexus 6 and discovered that Zimperium's app still reports the phone as vulnerable but Lookout's is reporting not vulnerable.
So the question is? Who's right here?

Thats a good question, but Zimperium found the exploit so I would lean toward believing their app.
Google implemented the patches they were given after probably looking deeper. It is what it is for now.
Great! Then based on that logic, LMY48I hasn't fixed the problem at all.

No one knows except the the hackers that don't exist so far. No one has used the hack. No one knows if there is a fix till the exploit is actually used.
Some people on reddit running patched CM ran the test and it shows no vulnerability. They speculate that google may have missed a patch.
I think the press coverage of stagefright has been biased in favor of an alarmist point of view. I not saying that there's no problem but that, so far, no exploit has been found that can actually run a piece of malicious code -- as opposed to just causing random havoc.
The vulnerability has been big news for about ten days so why is that? The answer is that there's some backup protection in Android's Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR). That makes it very hard to create an exploit that reliably does something like install malware.
Here's a link from The Verge.
One good thing to come out of all this is that from now on Samsung and Google (for the Nexus line) will release monthly security updates.

I have different results. I'm on stock lmy48i, but with Leankernel 2.11: I passed all the tests with the Zimperium app and got a "Not Vulnerable" at the end.

It looks like the testing app had inaccurqte detection and therefore was updated. Update the app and try again.

Looks like the Zimperium app has been fixed. The new version now reports LMY48I as not vulnerable. Hopefully the problem is solved.

I think maybe version 2.0 of the app, which fixes the false-positive problem for case CVE-2015-3826, just skips this test altogether, unless the app's screen is just wrong.
Notice that this case, one of 7 cases comprising Zimperium's reported vulnerability, is missing.
(This screenshot is from my own unpatched phone running build LYZ28E, so the overall warning of Vulnerable is surely correct. )

Just was wondering if we will see the official release this week. I have two
EPE54B Nexus ones. Cant wait to see the official update.
Please use the search feature. There are a lot of posts that talk about this.
I've read all the threads just havent seen any updates. And I also know I can run the update.zip on my EPE54B Nexus Ones its just to buggy right now.
I've been running the "test" froyo on my nexus since the day it was on xda. I hated loosing my beloved cm rom, but the switch was so worth it. As far as buggy, I have yet to hit any real issues, just better battery life & speed. Only annoyance is the few apps that have problems. Froyo updates are rolling out every day for those though. So until the source code is dropped, & cyanogen gets ahold of it. I'm loving this version of froyo.

Tomorrow. No really, tomorrow. You have to make a thread about it or Google wont release it.
Well to be honest I havent found any Official Android 2.2 update threads. The only one I found is Froyo leaked or Official we all know its a test release.
Also there is nothing wrong with starting a new thread I've done my reserch on the update and just though people could voice some opinions.
You should flash the test version. I'm usually very anxious when updates are looming but I could wait another couple of months after flashing the test update. I have some issues but very very minor, go for it OP, you'll probably forget all about the official update. Ok not really but it helps alot
Google annouced at the IO conference to expect the update at the beginning of June, the beginning of June is tomorrow. Patience is a virtue
I might give the Test update a try my wife has the Nexus with the unlocked bootloader so I would have to either put it on hers or unlock the virgin Nexus that I have. I have Cm on hers and she loves so unless I de virginize mine I'll just have to wait for the official update.
So wait..... no one else got it? I updated last night!

Like how they call the OS on the Xoom Gingerbread lol. But yeah this looks promising.

i can see this as being an integral part of the next upcoming android tablets once tgw newness of honeycomb has worn off. The only problem that I can forsee is the need for better processors beyond a dual ccore 1ghz. The heat and battery drain would have to be addressed as well. But all in all, something to look forqard to

I'd kill to be able to just display 2-3 different apps like the above video even if they were just suspended. In fact that might be another option they could implement to save battery life. It would just make switching between certain tasks easier. I'm still trying to find just what my tablet's niche is in my world...this might actually make it replace my laptop for some work related tasks.
any new info on beta or release date?

Here is what I got back from Onskreen ... I asked them about release date and possible beta testing.
Hi Brian,
Thanks for reaching out to us and for your patience. It is indeed Q3, and we are working as fast as we can with the OEM's interested in including Cornerstone with their devices. It's consuming all of our engineering resources to work with them. That is a good thing and a bad thing. The bad because we can't yet support a user beta.
Regarding Honeycomb, we would not legally be allowed to release a Honeycomb beta with Cornerstone. Since the honeycomb source code is closed and owned by Google, for us to include Cornerstone with it and release it to users would be a violation. Any public beta we do would have to be on Gingerbread.
We're paying attention and know you've been reaching out since the start. We definitely have you on the list, and are doing the best we can.
Thanks!
Onskreen Team

Makes sense now the gingerbread references, clearly this requires modifications to the OS and isn't just a launcher, hence them being unable to go directly to users and being unable to release a honeycomb version.

Changelog
Enhancements/Fixes
- Fix for clearing the VM Indicator
- Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator
- Various additional software fixes
- Security enhancements
Very glad to hear it. Now Google just has to kill off the absolute horrid camera app it has and build a new one from scratch. Read the Anandtech review released today of the Nexus 5 and you realize how terrible the camera app is.
Camera I think is good. App can agree with you. Curious to see what this new app will bring.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
So I wonder if I'm rooted with a custom ROM, if I'll have to go back to stock to get the fixes or if custom Roms will be able to update their source. I come from the Sprint Galaxy S4 so I'm used to these updates being very tedious if you're rooted and on a custom rom.
New Version of Android and Camera Fix coming soon! WooHOO
Once the OTA is spotted a zip ( odexed/deodexed) will pop up in the dev threads shortly after. You should be good.

We got all excited before about a potential update, but found this article here which has some decent before and after pics http://www.mobilephonereviewsuk.co.uk/android-4-4-1-update-expected-next-days-camera-update-included/
Any idea if one would be able to sideload the nexus camera app without root to the moto x? Similar to how you can sideload the GEL.
I'm happy about the camera improvements but what about the email exchange bug? I sure hope that is fixed in this build. I don't want to use a third party app anymore.
I hope they fix static noise when record voice.

No. With the Nexus One, all review units got the releases the same time as Google employees. And many of those phones were given to the press (without having to return it). So they were able to see the new updates before anyone else. I think now, the press has to return the review Nexus phones but I'm sure they are setup the same way (given early access).
So I just noticed that I got a forced app download called "Touch Test 1.0" that has a black icon. Has anyone else noticed this? What is it, and why did I get it? I also noticed that it has some very spammy reviews, but I can't find any info about it.

I doubt both of those guesses. It popped up for update on my LG G2. The developer was listed as "Test Account234234". It would be exceptionally unprofessional for any carrier to push an update this way. Yesterday, 4/29 the app was asking for an update. I didn't install it. Today, 4/30 it is not longer on my list.
Here's my wild guess with malicious intent: Someone wrote a program that allows itself to "update" a sprint factory default screen test app. They setup a "test account" with the google play store to see if an app could be pushed to certain model phones and replace the factory app with this version. This particular app was innocuous, but the exploit could be used for more malicious apps since most users blindly update apps.
My wild guess with innocent intentions: Someone at Sprint or a sprint contract developer goofed and sent a test app for update through the play store with the wrong account.

I got the update too. Only thing it says is update from OE2 to OF3. Still 5.0.2. I don't notice anything else.
I'm holding off taking this as I suspect it will break ping-pong root. Wife is taking it now on her 925.
Edit:
Kernel date on the OF3 ATT update is June 18, so well after the May 15 cutoff date for the patch. It should be assumed that the ping-pong exploit will NOT work on this update, unless proven otherwise.
I was holding off on this update because I was planning on rooting today. I woke up this morning to the phone updating on it's own. So much for rooting.

Do we know if it does in fact wipe root?
This update seems faster. Well, it probably is because it's a newer kernel but it's not night and day.
The one change that is obvious is the signal. I have had no signal in my town for the past month, others have said the same and there are some threads about this issue.
I don't have any signal problems now (so far) so that's a good sign.

Ya, nothing really important for me
I'm using stock unrooted now and (thus far) it has fixed some of my biggest annoyances. UI is much smoother (but I'm not using TouchWiz anymore), standby battery has been non-terrible, and I haven't had any huge memory issues. With that said, these things don't always crop up in the first few days.

Fix signal issues? If you had any.

I concur, memory stays about 1Gb free for me now, which is sickening but acceptable.

Well I was getting huge battery drain from the HD Voice option being selected on OE2. I just checked and when I went back to stock it enabled the HD voice again without any big problems w/ battery life.
Update- the ear piece sound much better for calls, but a lot of people I talk to say I sound a lot worse. Wanted to see if anyone else has similar feedback?
I turned off "enhanced 4gLTE" for HD voice and everyone says I sound much better. I don't live in an HD voice area according to the coverage map, so I don't know if that matters
I am rooted with PingPong, is there any way to block this OTA update?
