Based on the author's page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380284
IMPORTANT1: ROM is NoWipe, but I STRONGLY recommend to do a FullWipe before!! No bug reports without making FullWipe before!!! Reboot your device twice after flashing ROM!!!
IMPORTANT2: Freeze Wifi-Sharing
IMPORTANT3: There is no need to flash any previous updates on top - it's all included!
I would recommend you clear cache and clear dalvk.
Also apply the hotfixes in the link above for v22 if required in your case.
I just tried it. I clear cache and dalvik. Then i flash the zip. It installed less 20 secs and it says install succesful. Then i rebooted my phone. It stuck in the samsung gt-n7000 logo.
Help me plz. Did i do somthing wrong?

yup, the zip file is 577 mb..
before i rooted my SGN i followed your guide on how to root+cwm, it was more easier than installing this roket room. your guide was very neatly organized and comprehensive.

Try the exact steps below, it should work for you as it worked for me:
1. Flash chinese ICS ROM using MobileOdin (tar file - when you download it comes as a ZIP file so extract the whole TAR out)
2. Wait for successful bootup of Chinese rom. Don't setup google account but you should be booted into ICS.
3. Turn off your phone and boot into recovery mode
4. Do a factory reset, Wipe cache, and wipe dalvik (DO NOT REBOOT)
5. While still in recovery, flash 1.4 rocket and DO NOT REBOOT when done
6. Do a factory reset, Wipe cache, and wipe dalvik (yes for a 2nd time)
7. Now select restart phone option. You should boot into Rocket ICS. It takes a few minutes on the Samsung logo so be patient
8. Once you are in ICS, setup your google account
9. Using CWM app, reboot to recovery
10. Flash rocket v 1.5 (DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING)
11. When done, select restart phone option
You should boot into 1.5 ICS - again be patient if it takes longer at Samsung logo. This is only for the first boot - much faster afterwards.
Let us know if this wors.
ok. i will try later if it works. thanks
+1

[Q] [Need Help] Reboot recovery mode i got bootloop

I'am on MIUI v2.1a , this rom have not correct build.prop phone identify ( Phone model was P-970 not LG P-970 )
i want correct it , i edit via rootexplorer and i reboot and i got bootloop. its okay i think i can solve this.
1. I flashed back into v20g recovery patched to unbrick
2. When Download complete on Smartflasher my opblack reboot into recovery .
3. when i want touch navigation key ( Vol up/down ) my opblack restart
How i get reboot to recovery without root and usb debug ? i try flash it for 5 times always reboot when i want to press vol button
[ SOLVED ]
I flash the ICS Stock Rom
how if you use menu/home softkey to navigate up/down in recovery, does it still reboot?
I believe that after flashing official stock v20g, you no longer have custom recovery. You will need to root phone. Super one click on computer will do this. Then DL rom manager from market and flash custom recovery. DANGER : Make sure you have GOOD internet connection when flashing recovery. If not, you will brick phone.
froyo 2.2 v10l>z4 root>cwm 5.0.2.0>v10e>v10c>mik _os cm7.1>v10c>mik_os>v10c>cwmBRICK>kdz>v10s>kdz>v20g>super 1click>cwm5.0.2.0>amon ra 3.06>cyanogenmod 7.2>Rashed97 cm10(builds 5+6)

no offence, but I believe you dont have or never root/use Optimus Black, right?
indeed in many device and ROMs the step regarding root and custom recovery is root first then flash custom recovery (we also use this step in froyo P970 v10* ROM).
But in P970 GB ROM, the step is opposite, custom recovery first then root (cwm injected to ROM file before flash it, flash the patched ROM, then root it by flashing superuser from cwm)

Try repatching the bin files (Make sure the md5 checksum of the recovery image you are trying to patch matches) or use another one. SFT overwrites most of the phone and the build.prop changes you made previously doesn't affect the system as it is (since it overwritten with v20g) and definately not the recovery (totally separate from system).
If you already have nandroid backup any, try to restore that.
As you said, you are unable to use buttons on CWM.
The best thing for you now is download the (Gingerbread) PATCHED V20S .bin files, just search in XDA or Google and download it and follow the instructions.
I have the same problem in the past, luckily nandroid backup saved me.

[Q] problem with flashing roms via CWM

There are several threads on how to flash to JB, and coming from JB you have to flash to ICS first. Here is a good flash guide on JB->ICS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494493 When you flash in CWM to ICS you'll get a "quick" installation (about 20/30% as you say) and then the device reboots to a "bootloop". This happens because change in kernel. You can just pull the battery after the kernel has been flashed and insert battery while holding down 3-button combo to force into CWM. Now run the .zip again and it should flash properly in the new CWM and kernel.

good luck!

Help me figure this thing out. Going back to stock

I want to go back to stock recovery and rom and thanks to joemm I got the recovery but can anyone help me to a non-rooted stock rom? Also, do I load the stock rom before I flash the stock recovery?
I take it you did not make a back up of the original non rooted ROM, so what you can do is install the stock rooted ROM from the Dev thread. Next log onto google account....go to the market and download root explorer..use it to navigate to system/app and delete super users app...this will remove super user app from the app drawer...next install the zip for stock recovery on your sd card..next boot into recovery...wipe data...this will remove all your info from the phone..reboot..skip signing in to any accounts...once booted check the app drawer superuser should be gone...now the phone is still technically rooted but there will be no visible sign of being rooted...next boot into recovery and flash the zip I made to flash the stock recovery.....next reboot recovery...should be on stock recovery...next reboot system...should be on a stock phone with no visible signs of being rooted...that's it.

[Q] How to install a new ROM on Xperia V

Yes, I know, just download it and flash it with Flashtool... Problem is that all the ROMs I find are either .zip or .ftf format, while Flashtool only looks for .img, .sin or .elf files.
I have unlocked the bootloader and copied the Cyanogen ROM to my SD card, but trying to boot into recovery mode with CWM doesn't work, it just boots normally. Same with pressing either volume button when starting up.
Read post two of the all in one thread, it's the very first thread uh the Q &A section
Flashtool uses ftf files.
To get into recovery you have to install it first.
Sent from my LT30p using xda premium
Flash kernel from CyanogenMod (Available in the zip file itself).
If you're flashing using flashtool, remember to select fastboot because fastboot is for flashing kernels and the other one is for ftfs.
After flashing the kernel, boot into CWM. Wipe all data, dalvik cache and system. Then proceed to flashing the zip file.
