Screen not working? - Xiaomi Mi Note Pro

Turned my phone on today to find the touch screen is not working. The exterior lock button wakes the screen up but I cannot enter my pin to unlock the phone and touching emergency call etc does not do anything. I have tried turning the phone off and on by holding the power button (as I can't select any of the options when I try to turn it off). Has anyone experienced this or a similar problem and knows how to fix it?

If you keep the power button pressed it will reboot. If you hold power and vol up it will boot into recovery from there you should be able to factory reset. That said if you don't know what your doing it won't help and if the touch screen has become disconneced it also won't help.

Brightness after phone call / key unlock issues

Hello everyone. I have an AT&T Tilt, and it's great so far, except for two issues:
1) After I end a phone call, the backlight seems to go off and the screen is very dim. Pressing keys does not bring the backlight back. If I power the screen off and on, the backlight comes back on and the screen is at its normal brightness.
2) I lock my AT&T Tilt using the "Device unlocked" area on my home screen, and when I unlock the phone, sometimes it asks for my PIN, and sometimes it just shows the unlock button on the screen. My settings are for a 12 hour timeout.
If anyone can shed any light on possible fixes to these issues, that would be great. Thanks!

I have the same issue after a phone call....
Same issue here too... it doesn't happen when on USB-power... and I don't remember it doing this before the security-Exchange policy was forced onto my phone.

I think this happens coz the phone goes into standby / lock mode during your phone call. Just press the on/off button to turn screen off, and press again to turn on. Now your phone will be responsive again.
Minor bug.
Or you can just scroll the volume wheel to turn it back on.

thanks michi
thanks everyone for your replies. I will try the StayUnlock application.
I still don't understand my second issue though. If the bug is causing this issue, shouldn't it at least be consistent in either requiring me to type in my PIN or just hit the unlock button? I have set my phone to lock after 12 hours, so it should never ask for my PIN, just the unlock button...
I now see that people have been having the first issue since the Cingular 8125 but I have been unable to find any references to my second issue.
ATT Til and Backlight
When making a phone call, once connected, about 12 seconds later the screen goes dark regardless of the setting on the backlight. I am not using a password, and the only way to get back is to use the power button. using the phone button puts the call on hold

Buttons quit working / not responding

This is the second Sprint Touch Diamond I've had with this problem, and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing it. I boot the phone fresh, then when it's done turn off the display with the power button. When I press the power button again, it turns on, and then the buttons stop working. The device is fully usable other than no buttons, including power, work. The display also stays on, and will not turn off after the normal period of time. I also noticed if I hold the power button, the pop-up for a soft reset will come up, but choosing yes does not actually soft reset it.
Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it without bringing it in?
Thanks!

Htc Tytn 2 Screen problem

Hi everyone,
I got a HTC Tytn 2 and i have a problem with it.
When i boot the phone it starts up and goes into windows like every windows mobile phone.
But when i press the standby button my screen wont go out of standby.
Only when i reset the phone it will work again.
Anyone got idea's ?
Oke, since no one responded.
Is there any way how i can make the Power Button replaced with the Speed Dial Button.
Because i think my power button is broke.

Have you at least tried backing up your data and doing a hard reset first ?
Yes, and i have also tried to put on a new rom and even updated the radio.
Iam a little bit out of idea's...
here are some more ideas:
1. how to test the power button: you say pressing the power button does not wake up the device once it goes to sleep. conversely, does pressing the power button put the device to sleep while the screen is on? if the power button is unable to make the device go off->on as well as on->off, then the power button is likely broken. if pressing the button achieves on->off, then the power button is probably ok and some software issue becomes more likely.
2. how to enable wake on pressing ANY hardware button: look for an option in Settings. i can't tell you the exact option because the ROM i am using does not have a link for this option, but this option does exist 100% in stock ROM and in lots of other ROMs. it contains settings like "Lock all buttons except power button" and "Keep all buttons unlocked" or something similar. by using the second option, pressing ANY hardware button while the screen is off will wake up the device.
3. you can use AE button plus to perform even more advanced button (re)mappings.
4. just to be sure that your device is really working correct, does the screen wake up when you call the phone or when you receive a text message? if it does not wake up even then, then search for "sleep of death".
Thanks for the response.
I think its a Service of Death problem.
Because when i try calling/smsing it, it wont go on
The buttons do work then...hopefully there's a fix for this problem...
Oke, i tried switching to 2G or 3G only but that didn't fix my Standby of Death.
I also bought a new sim card of vodafone so i wont get a No Sim error.
But what can i do now about it...it hangs like every 5 min...
Okay, after a will testing, the phone hangs every time its almost like when iam on the road with my tytn 2 and placing it upside down, it hangs.
But when iam putting it in the leather holder it doesn't hang.
Any had the same problems ?

Maybe it's hardware and something is coming loose

[Q] disable long press power button in lockscreen?

Sometimes my phone reboots while I have it in my pocket because I accidentally press the power button for a few seconds and then somehow touch the screen so it reboots.
This happens while the screen is locked! It's still possible to press the power button a few seconds and shutdown/reboot/airplane mode/disable data.
Anyway to disable this feature?
I've found a few other threads, with this one the most promising: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302169. However, I changed the four *.kl files, but no luck.
Have you tried with a custom lockscreen or pin on screen? Maybe it helps instead of digging in the phone system...

Touch screen stopped working all of a sudden. Registers random inputs

Hey, so my phone has been working fine and then all of a sudden I tried to double tap to turn the screen back on and it didn't work. So I pressed the power button and the screen turned on but I couldn't drag to unlock the screen. I tried tapping all over the screen and dragging and nothing make it unlock. I held the power button down and tried to select to power off, power off and restart, airplane mode, or cancel and none of them worked either. I took out the battery and put it back in and still nothing. The touch screen wouldn't register my inputs but would instead register random inputs throughout the screen and then stop doing that. I took the battery out and put it back in and even in TWRP it would register random inputs and then stop doing stuff altogether. I don't know what the heck to do.

Turn off your phone and inspect the screen. You may have some spot of oil that causes multiple touch inputs. Other temperature conditions that introduce condensation can have the same effect.
If not hardware, try to get to your recovery with and and make a backup first.
