Just an FYI. Blestol has it inverted in post #6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1934434
I was able to successfully install this on my friends Thunderbolt that is running the ICS leak.
Steps as follows;
1) Use root explorer/or similar to re-name the existing Gmail.apk to Gmail.apk.bak
2) Push either Gmail2.apk (normal) or Gmail4.2-signed-aligned.apk (inverted) to the /system/app
3) Re-named it to Gmail.apk
4) Boot into recovery and wipe cache, dalvik cache, and run fix permissions
5) Reboot the phone and profit.
The first time the app is run it may take a few minutes to load, please be patient.
The link is dead at the other thread.

I just tried both on the computer and they work. I have not tried them using the phone broswer or tapatalk app.
Hmmm... I wonder if my adblocker is shutting it down.

Just an FYI. I'm on JB 4.1.1 and this app seems to break some of the Google Now functionality. Specifically the 'note to self' voice action.

I don't think we have to worry. Google now isn't quite fully functional for the Thunderbolt or the Rezound.

Here you can download Browser Popup from Galaxy Note 2 rom.
https://hotfile.com/dl/184672248/33d8e53/PopupBrowser.apk.html
It works on 4.1.1 Touchwiz roms, both odex or deodex.
Copy to System / App, set permissions like the other apps and reboot.
Here you have a tutorial on how to use it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSj-xA4vDhI&feature=youtube_gdata_player
That's neat.
Annoying voice in the video!

I want to use my T-Mo note 4 for USB keyboard
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=remote.hid.keyboard.client
but I get this error- 'Kernel not supported'
when contacted dev, he suggests to use his patch
https://github.com/pelya/android-keyboard-gadget
for making the kernel compatible.
Can anyone tell me or help me making this, or is there one already working? If so please help me get that if it can work.
I'm using T-Mo note 4(SM-N910T), stock, rooted, deodexed lollipop 5.0.1, with xposed, firmware- COG2, and stock kernel, Build- LRX22C.N910TUVU1COG2, and SE enforcing
Thanks in advance
I'm no expert, but I don't think that patch will work for the Note 4. Did you tell the dev you were using a N4?
Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
yeah. told note 4.
he was not sure, and he suggested to get help from xda. someone could make some tweaks or something to make it work. would be much happy.
it is easy when using keepass using a plugin where we can send password without needing to type in.
Way above my pay grade... Sorry.

I own a N920C with root and Dr. Ketan's rom.
I have noticed that the smart manager say always that a threat found.
As you can see in the attached photo there is no details about it.
Any ideas ?
Maybe has something to do with Knox?
Since you're using a custom ROM.
Root and super user are the threats..

Makes sense...
I know that can be the reason but I guess then that if I'll press reboot that will block my root.
Thought that maybe someone have experience it as well.
On the S6 post root, this was fixed for me by freezing securitylogagent using titanium backup.

Hey guys - the only reason I root is to apply adaway and change the build.prop file to enable tethering. I realized I could do that with a flashable zip file now, and have no need to root. You can keep using Android pay, etc. Best of both worlds.
Attached is the recovery flashable zip. This will overwrite your /etc/hosts file and your build.prop file with the stock build.prop plus noprovisioning edit. I assume it will work on any phone - but be sure to backup first.
Also, I don't know a ton about how to make these zip files, so I used the MOAAB zip file as a template. Therefore, ignore the messages that come up when you flash the zip about reverting to stock, etc.
EDIT: So, I realized the build.prop needs to come from whatever build you have installed. I've updated the file with the build number that it will work on.
Thanks for sharing this!
I wants this ... for the N preview! Thanks!
Wait so if I flash this adway ad block will be working on YouTube and stuff?

To OP. I finally figure it how to still use android pay with root.
If you have existing SuperSU. Uninstall it by using unSU. Then install systemless SuperSU 2.71.
My ROM is chroma

MMS and Group Messaging
Hello,
I've heard if you install an adblocker it may interfere with group messages. Can you still group message via MMS with this installed?
Can you update to lastest vendor? Thanks
