[TOT][RESTORE] LG LS991 ZV5 TOT - Sprint LG G4

NOTICE: ZV6 or higher Users - Received reports that attempting to revert to ZV5 may brick your device.
Recommend holding off for now, will try to get ZV6. (Also attempting to confirm.)
OK, I know folks have been in need and an anonymous source has been kind enough to share.
Here is the TOT for LS991 ZV5. I'm passing it on to @autoprime who will be adding more below on how to use it.
Please make sure to give Team Codefire a huge thanks for what they do with LG devices.
It's one thing to get restore files, it's a completely different (and much more challenging) one to do things like root it.
Cheers!

ZV5 TOT is out!
Don't use this TOT if you are on ZV6 or higher.. you will brick.
Thanks to an anonymous donor and to @garwynn we now have the ZV5 TOT. No more soft bricks! I have also broken down the TOT and uploaded the individual partitions.
Changelog:
Fix for Google Factory Reset Protection issue that does not allow user to bypass WiFi after performing a ##RTN on the device. User can now bypass WiFi
LG has also implemented a touchscreen enhancement into the software
ZV5 also updates the bootloader version from v0 to v1.
--TOT can be downloaded *HERE*
For those familiar with LG's.. this is flashed the same way as previous models... LG OG, G2, G3 etc etc.
1. Download LG Flash Tool. Swap the included mega.dll (click here to see video)
2. Download the LGFLASH_LG_G4_CODEFIRE.dll
3. Download the ZV5 TOT and unzip it.
4. If LG drivers are not already installed, download and install them.
5. Place phone into download mode
6. Set phones serial COM port to COM41 in Windows Device Manager. Unplug USB cable then plug it back in.
7. Run LG Flash Tool.
8. Select LGFLASH_LG_G4_CODEFIRE.dll for DLL, LS991ZV5_05.tot for TOT and check off "BOARD DL"
9. Hit OK to continue. Now hit the yellow start button. LG Flash Tool should now perform a CRC check on the TOT.
10. Unplug the USB cable again then plug it back in... wait 5-20 seconds and hopefully the flash should now start.
When it finishes it'll boot into miniOS. Hold the power button then press the "Normal Boot" option on the screen.
The above steps are "to the point" and there's not much hand holding so new LG flashers may be a bit confused. Feel free to ask questions in this thread and hopefully other users will chime in and assist with specific questions. But for extra help here is a how-to video going over the process. Only differences is phone model and TOT/DLL files used... rest can be applied.
Also here is a G4 Return to Stock thread... the lower section of the OP has step by step directions and screenshots for the entire LG Flash install process and TOT flash.
--Individual ZV5 partitions to flash manually can be downloaded *HERE*
Stock system.img is not included in that list due to redundancy. The stock rooted ZV5 system.img can be found in the Low Effort Root thread.
--ZV4-to-ZV5 OTA update.zip *NOTYETAVAILABLE*
This was links somewhere previously... I'll have to look for it again.
You must be on ZV4 and have a stock recovery and stock system partition for this to work.
Directions:
1. Rename downloaded .zip into update.zip
2. Remove USB cable from phone.
3. Power phone off.
4. Press and hold volume down + power until you boot into stock recovery.
5. Select "update with adb"
Code:
adb sideload update.zip
Alternate Directions to skip using ADB (needs microSD card):
1. Format microSD card as EXT4.
2. Rename downloaded .zip to update.zip
3. Move update.zip onto external SD card. EZ way would be to stick SD card in phone then connect phone to PC and use MTP.
4. Power off and boot into stock recovery (vol down + power)
5. Select the Update from SDCARD option.

thank you so much, whoever leaked this!
and of course OP and codefire..
:highfive:

You guys are awesome!
Edit: Getting a 403 Forbidden on the LGFLASH_LG_G4_CODEFIRE.dll
All fixed! Thanks autoprime!

Went through everything, after rebooting at the end of th LG Flash Tool, phone rebooted to Factory Reset Status 2, blue screen.
UPDATE 1: Now the LG Flash Tool is not even starting to flash. The phone is back in DL mode and eveything is as it should be, but the flash tool is not doing anything
UPDATE 2: Switched USB ports, oddly that made LG Flash Tool Work. USED BOARD DL AND IT WORKED.

Instructions for Linux?

Which TOT file should be used? The one posted by garwynn (1.59GB) or Autoprimes? (1.98GB) TOT? whats the differences?

I'm fairly certain they're the same, they're just using different compression methods (.7z in garwynn's post, .zip in autoprime's). .7z is a better method of compression, thus the smaller file size. The .tot files should be the same size when extracted.

Any way of using this TOT method after flashing the US991 firmware(I mistakenly flashed it thinking it's the KDZ for Sprint)? I keep getting "DoDownload Error!!!"

run windows in a virtual machine. or find a windows computer. or reverse LG's download mode protocol, extract the tot and find a way to flash it over a serial connection in linux.

Try flashing the rooted Sprint system.img thru download mode.. just as if you were rooting. putting sprint system.img on the phone might get around the error. actually... as I'm typing this.. you might be able to just edit the build.prop in the us991 rom. if you use a build.prop editor make sureyou also have busybox installed or many buildprop apps wont actually work. and you'll need root to edit build.prop of course.
if no root.. might as well just flash the rooted sprint system.img tho. see how that goes.

Thanks for this! I've been waiting almost a month! So happy it's finally out!!

Quick question; my phone is rooted and has been running xposed for weeks no problem. Today, the phone randomly rebooted and has since been in a boot loop that sometimes ends with "secure boot error error 1006" in top left corner of the android boot screen a second then restarts. I believe can still enter download mode to the point where it asks to "update firmware, do not unplug..."but sometimes I get the secure boot error here as well.
I assume I should attempt to fix this with the tot? Anyone else have any suggestions? I don't want to mess the phone up further if there are easier ways to fix this.

Nope. Use the tot and restore it then root it again.
If you've never used a tot or lg tools to restore am LG device it's very easy and won't take long at all.

After I completed the tot I attempted to reboot. I now have an security error 1007 error code in the top left and also a security error; authentication problem #9.
Edit: I pulled the battery and now it seems Android is starting and doesn't show the error code but freezes shortly after boot before it restarts itself?
I assume I have to reroot it to get around this error code as well but I am unable to enable mtp or usb debugging before it restarts

At the end of flashing the TOT with the Lg Tool you may have been on the screen where you have to "press normal + reboot* hopefully that's the option you pressed. IF you haven't a clue what I am talking about, then you for some reason got a different screen.
Once you use the TOT file and restore using the LG Tool (and the tutorial mentioned) you should be fully back to stock like you just got the phone, without any issues. Did you make sure you chose BOARD at the bottom left of the Manual selection of the dll & added the tot?
Click to collapse
I responded in PM but yes, I used BOARD and I was able to get to the MiniOS screen where you hold power and select normal + reboot. It's after rebooting where it continues to a) boot loop till a blank screen appears and only a battery pull can trigger another boot B) Gets to android but then freezes before I can even activate C) Shows secure boot error code 1007 or Security error; authetication code #9 and prevents the boot.
The upgrade method triggers the same blue screen as others have mentioned. I really don't know what went wrong with the phone in the first place, I had been rooted and using xposed without any new apps or updates for the last couple of weeks. The phone literally rebooted while it was charging and hasn't been right since even after using the tot.
I may try my other computer for just to test -> Just tried and same thing happened; either boot loops, security error, or makes it past the Sprint Spark screen and android is starting screen before freezing.

Has anyone successfully restored TOT? Seems like a lot of folks are having issues.

Jessooca said:
I have. I tested the file just to make sure it worked. What issue are YOU having?
It's honestly a fairly simple procedure. You can watch this video (I believe it's also mentioned in the beginning of this thread)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WgXuxDbmbc Pretty much all you need is from 2:45 and on in the video.
Just be sure to select BOARD at the bottom of the screen, when selecting the dll and adding the tot file. At times people have forgot to change it from upgrade to Board.
-After it's finished
Pull the battery, hold Volume UP and Power, let go of Power on the LG Logo screen as mentioned for one second, Press power again while continuing to hold Volume Up and you'll get into recovery, do a wipe and reboot. It should fix any other issues.

I'm not having any issues. Just looking ahead if this is a safe recovery path.

Restoring the Streak 7 using NVFlash

Restoring the Streak 7 using NVFlash
This will bring your device back to the unrooted 2.2.2 stock ROM. This has only been tested by the OP (me) on a T-Mobile 4G version. If you use this on other models, I cannot guarantee it's usefulness.
(Windows Only Instructions) If you’re a Linux user, you should be able to 'translate' this yourself.
This is for those who cannot use fastboot or adb. If you can successfully use these tools, DO NOT use NVFlash. You will lose all your data on your device. Do not proceed with these instructions if you are not expecting to lose all personal data on the device.
Step 1) APX Drivers – To work in NVFlash mode you need to install the drivers for the nvidia boot-recovery device. Power off your device and disconnect it from the computer. Hold down the Volume up & down buttons while plugging in the USB cable. (Or leave the USB cable attached and hold the pinhole ‘power off’, hold down the volume Up & Down and release the pinhole ‘power off’.) (The volume button seems like a rocker switch, but you can hold down both sides at once)
Your computer should now recognize the Streak 7 as an APX device. Manually install it using the nvidia boot-recovery drivers.
NVFlash

Nvidia Boot-Recovery Drivers
http://www.4shared.com/file/-utyTYcJ/usbNvidiaBootdriver.html
Step 2) Install NVFlash. For ease of function simply create a folder on your C:\ drive called ‘nvflash’. Download the nvflash zip and extract it to the nvflash folder.
Step 3) Download the 13 img files that make up the original partitions of the device. Files p2.img through p14.img. Put these files in the C:\nvflash folder. ***You can skip the 14.img file (Don't put it in the NVFlash folder) if you want to attempt to keep your original internal SD Card data, but again, no guarantees.

Step 4) Launch (double-click) the Restore.bat file from the C:\nvflash folder. This batch command will begin copying the partitions to the device. Wait patiently as your device is being restored.
Step 5) Once all of the partitions have been written, use the pinhole ‘power off’ button next to the SD card to power off the device. Now power it back on normally to enjoy your restored Streak 7.
If you have trouble with any of the links or corrupted files, please pm me or reply to this thread.
That's all I can do folks. Ran out of free space on my free storage site.
*** Update *** If you are still stuck at boot logo, check to see if you can get into fastboot mode, if so,
finish restoring with the fastboot method.
************* Also, I recently used this method to restore from Honeycomb. I too was again stuck at the Dell logo. However, I was able to use the recovery menu (Vol Up + Power) and do a factory reset and was fine from there.

Figured it might fail. Its the biggest one and it dropped a few times in the transfer. Will give a heads up when it is available. Might not be till the morning.
I was able to restore my boot and recovery partitions using the files you have already provided. Thanks for the excellent work. I am now using Clockwork to finish the job for the system recovey.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Downloaded files and waiting for p14.
im having trouble downloading p11 also. tried flashing all but p11, but nothing has changed!?!? thanks for sharing
edit: did finally get p11 to download, tried again, still no change. everything said it went fine on nvflash, but streak 7 still stuck in apx mode?
So- I have gone from a corrupted system that would boot with no fastboot or recovery mode into an operating environment that was unusable due to repeated force closures. Now thanks to these files I have been able to restore my system and finally apply Steve's 2.2.2 rooted with clockwork. Thanks to Illdill, Steve and everyone on the forum!

You will need the p11 for a successful restore. p14 may not be required as some have had success without it. Keep trying for the p11 file. It may be an issue with the online storage site I chose, or if you could use a download manager, that may help.

Yes, nvflash mode should only give you the back, menu and home lights. Screen will remain black.
Can you get into fastboot or recovery?

worked for me without p14 Thanks man! Although I have a replacement coming.. at least I can play with it, configure it the way I want again then back it up, then when the new one comes just restore it to that one
Oh and another thing.. everything on my internal sd card was still there! All the files that were there that I downloaded, my titanium backups, clockwork recovery back ups.. all of that was there

build.prop mistake

Hey all My friend gave me his Droid Bionic running ICS update and he said he was trying to get it to work with att BUT while in the process he tried to put in a different build.prop but he deleted the one out of his system folder. The phone boots on a black screen and will not connect to the pc he said he also tried doing the recovery thing to it,
So. No build.prop
Black screen boot.
And no way to mount.
Any ideas?

If the data on this phone is no longer needed, you could alway flash a stock JB 4.1.2 using RSD.
That'll surely fix all the problem except data loss.

You didn't state that you did this. So, I'll start with the obvious.
1. Fully charge and then power off the phone.
2. Press & hold the volume + and volume -.
3. Power on the phone.
4. Once the boot menu comes up, use volume - to move to AP Fastboot & select wit volume +.
5. Plug in the phone to your PC and run RSD Lite. Click Config>Flash modes>Fastboot Mode.
6. Flash the phone with ICS or JB.
If you choose BP SBF Flash, on the menu, RSD may not work right. If you try to downgrade it, you can brick it.
Let me know how it goes.

I would definitely not recommend flashing JB. Stay with ICS.
Once you go to JB you are locked down with lots of restrictions.
If you stay with ICS you can root easier, and you have more choices of custom roms that you can use.
If you go JB, you can only use JB custom roms.
You can use either safestrap or bootstrap if you stay with ICS. If you do JB, you are stuck with safestrap.
Stay with ICS! If you want JB, only use custom JB roms, don't flash them through RSD.

Do you see a device in Windows Device Manager? Can you get to the menu I talked about on the phone. RSD won't see the phone if Windows doesn't load the drives correctly. Do you have the Android SDK loaded? That can help w/ manual flashing... and drivers. It's important to get the phone in the AP Fastboot mode to get the proper connectivity.

[Q] How to flash D415 back to stock firmware? No guides work.

My D415 has been out of action for about two or three weeks now and it sucks having no phone. I'd like it back but all the hours I've spent trying to fix it have been pointless due to very poorly-made guides that are either difficult to understand or simply false.
If I follow this guide: http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-flash-unbrick-lg-l90-back-to-stock.html
It gets stuck forever on step 7, with the computer refusing to recognize that I've connected the phone no matter what I do. Note that this includes skipping download #3 because I already have the stock KDZ downloaded, could this be the issue?
If I follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479
It gets stuck forever on step 1, with lg-firmware-rom.com not actually existing.
If I follow other guides, other **** happens, like LG Mobile Support Tool continuously "downloading" the USB driver without the progress bar or anything actually moving.
My computer is getting cluttered with various copies of roms and KDZs and drivers and random pieces of software from all the attempts to do this, I've spent hours trying to get it done, and I'm tired of not having a phone. Could anyone give me a way to do this? The phone is currently on a 5.0.2 ROM with baseband issues and TWERP as its recovery, IIRC. I'm good with computers, though inexperienced with Android tweaking. All I need is a reasonably concise guide that actually works.
Well, the first thing I would do personally is to delete all of the extra files you dont need. It always helps to have a clean work space. Then uninstall all drivers you have installed
.
Download and install the drivers from here: (http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425). Restart your PC and verify all drivers are installed correctly through device manager.
Download this KDZ (http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWB7G2U032NVA6P70FE44UV/D41520b_00.kdz) This is the one I used and it works fine.
You also need LGFlashTool, which is what you run first when you're trying to flash back to stock. (http://www.mediafire.com/download/fwrcd3pdj0svjtb/LG_Flash_Tool_2014.zip)
Close out any programs you aren't using just to make sure there aren't any conflicts.
Reboot into download mode, verify in device manager that your phone is recognized correctly. Run LGFlashTool. Change PhoneMode to EMERGENCY. Click on the little folder icon next to Select KDZ file. Navigate to your KDZ and select. Hit normal flash.
When the next screen pops up, just hit START in the bottom right hand corner.
Another box will come up. Where is says Country, select different country. Language, select English. Hit OK.
The LG Mobile support tool will come up and should start flashing your phone. Chill and let it do it's thing.
IF it happens to say that the phone is disconnected, don't hit anything. Just unplug your phone and reboot it into download mode. Should automatically start flashing.
Hopefully this helps. If you want, I can link you to my collection of files I use.
EDIT: This is essentially the guide from above, I'm just linking you to the files I used more or less. I also realize I'm a bit late lol. Hopefully this either helps, or you have it solved.
My phone keeps saying settings stopped working and google play store stopped working over and over and my computer is not recognizing the device? Any help on this?

Backup and factory reset (wipe caches and data)?
If still broken, reflash stock (if you have TWRP then look for a flashable zip, if not kdz is the only way), wiping system partition first.

[HOWTO] Upgrade to marshmallow, dowgrade to ZV6, and Fix Status 2

Well guys i was having problems as most of you guys saw on the the unoffical TOT thread but thanks to @autoprime for mentioning LG UP i was finally been able to get past status 2
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible with what happens to your device when using this program.
DO NOT TRY TO FLASH BACK TO ZV5/ZV4 OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE.
ATTENTION: DO NOT TRY TO FLASH BACK FROM ZVB TO ZVA OR BELOW BECAUSE OF A NEW ANTIROLL BACK PATCH.. AGAIN IF YOU DO YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE
Requriements:
-LG UP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803
- TOT Files:
Android Lolipop 5.1 ZV6 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/development/restore-sprint-lg-ls991-zv6-tot-t3213196
- Micro USB cable from phone to pc and Drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-drivers-t3127648
Steps to downgrade
1. First download and install LG UP from the thread BOTH MSI files.
2. Now put your phone into download mode via holding down the volume + and plugging it in to the usb.
3. Fire up LG UP and at first it may say UNKNOWN on the window so what you wanna do is disconnect and reconnect wait a few seconds and it should work.
4. Now it should say LS991 and select it and click ok
5. Now on the window select your ZV6 TOT FILE and select UPGRADE
6. On the bottom of the window there should be three dots click on them and find your tot file.
7. Click start.
8. After that your phone should start progressing
9, Should restart and work.
10. If it dosent make sure you factory reset!! (Hold down volume down and the power button and power then go the factory reset and wipe it)
To fix status 2 error
Thanks to @autoprime
1. flash zv6 and get stuck at blue screen.
2. power off phone and close lgup.
3. boot into download mode again.
4. this time.. instead of using LGUP.. use LG Flash method.
5. make sure you set LG Flash to use "Board DL" at the bottom of the screen where u select dll and tot.
6. should be able to flash either zv6 or zv9 using LG Flash (with Board DL option).
Glad you finally got it figured out...I must have gotten really lucky as I also got the dreaded 2 the first time but after uninstalling and reinstalling everything I was able to get around it...I am bookmarking this for future reference. Thanks again for your and @autoprime work.

Thank you! You are a savior! I'll try to do it once I get home and update my post.
Finally, a sigh of relief. My phone is back from the dead!
Just tried this and it still didn't fix status 2. I get the error, but instead of continuing on the phone, it stops. It just hangs at 0%. I guess I may be sending this phone into LG (praying that they will fix it). I cannot afford a new one.
I have status 2 still.

Has anyone successful downgraded back to ZV6 from ZV9?

So to be clear did you had ZV9 and did a successful downgrade to ZV6 using your steps??
Well, yes, kind of painful since I got stock on the Sprint Spark boot image (no boot loop, just the image) . So the painful part is that I needed to do a factory reset from factory recovery (lost everything )... but it then went ok.

That did it. Can confirm it works, followed all steps in the downgrade section and effectively it got stuck on the Sprint Spark image, had to go into recovery mode, select wipedata/factory reset and reboot phone. Im back from ZV9 to ZV6.

Worked for me too...on ZV6 now and going back to UltraPop.
Already have stock mm. Can I still root it? Where do I go? I'm fine with zv9. Or has root not been figured out yet..
worked. downgraded stuck on spark, then factory reset. working and updating as we speak
thank you
I have been able to flash back wards and forth using both flashing tech. Using LG UP and the old flashing way. Don't know why it worked but it did. Also pulled out as soon as the phone hit 100%.

[Unbrick] Fix All For Samsung S5 AT&T (SM-G900A) Lollipop 5.1.1

I decided to create this thread for the many who have attempted to downgrade their AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5[and failed]. The many videos and threads that claim the 100% success rate for downgrading all models of the S5 are terribly mistaken.
In the link I'm providing four files to help all, from noobs to intermediate to maybe even advanced users.
*I am not a developer just someone who was persistent enough to have scavenged for these files and figure out the order to use
Steps:
1. Download all files and place under one directory. (make a new folder for these files to be placed in, make them easy to find.)
2. Run Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Moblie_Phones_v1_4_6_0
3. Unzip Odin3_v3.10.7
4. In Odin3_v3.10.7 folder run Odin3_v3.10.7.exe
5. In Odin select options tab and double check the default of Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time (These should be the only selected)
6. In Odin click AP and navigate to G900A_OC4_Stock_Partitions.tar and open (wait 10-30 seconds for Odin to respond and load)
7. Boot phone into Odin download mode (Press Volume down + home + power on) [for convenient reboot take back panel off and dis->re connect battery]
8. Plug in phone. Under ID:COM it should be blue this means the drivers are properly installed and cable is a sync data cable.(Not charge only)
9. Press start. Wait for PASS to show. Press reset. Unplug phone.
10. Phone will reboot to Samsung powered by android logo. (You've won the first battle)
11. Reboot into Odin download. (Take out battery, shove back in with button combo)
12. Unzip G900A_5.1.1_Fix
13. Plug phone back in and flash under AP the files in order, resetting phone into download mode each time. (boot, modem, NON, recovery)
On final boot put back panel back on and wait on the at&t symbol for 2-3 minutes.
I hope this thread is easily found and my instructions are clear enough that I help all who have had my same problem I've fretted over the past 2 days.

DOes this work for unrooted too?
I just got an AT&T s5 came with 5.1.1. and out of the blue it started bootlooping. Could not get into recovery but could get into download mode.
Just found this thread was going to try but now seems to boot. Not sure what happened. I did several battery pulls.
In any case good to know if this works in case it happens again.
Any idea why I would boot loop? Did nothing to the phone other than disable some system apps. But did not try to flash anything
Yes

Yes, this method can be used on unrooted s5. I can say this with 100% certainty because mine wasn't rooted.
Would this method work for the GS5 active? I have the same issue...
Thank you man this save my phones life
Spent 7 hours trying to fix this, this was giving me such a migraine headache, I am happy to say that my phone is back thank you so very much this is greatly appreciated for this easy to follow step by step instructions
Mirrors for Download
Can mirrors for the download be provided, please? Can not seem to download from the google drive.
Importance of Step 2?
My Phone seems to be working after Step 10. What is the importance of the next steps? Thank You.

The next steps are if part of the boot process was overwritten by trying to downgrade. This would happen if part of the downgrade flash in Odin was successful.
No

I wouldn't recommend using these (zip/tar) files. However, you can use this process, but you need g870a files. These files are to fix the 900a.
Sure

Anyone who is able to download is free to make a mirror for these files. I, however, have no idea how.
I don't know why you wouldn't be able to access them. Anyone who clicks the link has access. (You may need to be logged into google.)
Mistake
I screwed up. I thought one of my replies wasn't being posted, didn't see second page.
Now I can't delete this.
I will re-edit this to answer a question.
P.S. sorry for taking so long with answers, I hadn't checked thread in a while.
If urgent you are more than welcome to private message me.
Thank you. This worked for me. I made the mistake of taking the AT&T automatic upgrade to Android 5.1.1 and then trying to downgrade to 4.4.X. and got the Samsung Galaxy S5 splash screen freeze. After too many hours of trying to find a downloadable AT&T Android 5.x version as someone suggested, I came across this post. Thank you again. Once suggestion, I would check sum the downloads so people know what they are getting is legit (I hope these download are . Also the Odin v3.10.7 failed to install on my Windows XP system, but I did have a Odin v3.10.6 that worked fine.
:good:
Hi... can I use this method to upgrade my ATT S5 with android 4.4.4.?

Once you go through this procedure try going into stock recovery, (same button combo only vol up instead of down) then clear cache and/or factory reset. Then redo the second half(5.1.1 stock partition tar flash)
Looks like this should become a sticky for all us AT&T SM-G900A's stuck around 5.1.1.
I will do this process in the next day or so. I assume no PIT file is needed?
I ready to do this. unlocked and rooted all my phones but this one over the years. . .
QUESTION: I purchased this at 5.1.1 C015 upgrade. Does this method helped attaining root (not mentioned anywhere), or just flashing 5.1.1 stock again? I dont need a flash a ROM already working, although still containing bloatware and major battery drain.
