I just flashed my stock ROM with Cognition 3.04. It looks pretty good and improved the performance. I get around 1500 on Quadrant BenchMark.
But still I have some problems in few applications. As soon as I snooze my alarm, the alarm application Closed (Force Close). I had the same problem with few other application.
Any suggestions on avoiding this on Cognition ROM!!!!
With force closes you can try to uninstall or reinstall the app, or reflash the rom. Make sure you don't have a lagfix active when you flash. For your clock app I would backup using titanium backup, uninstall clock and then restore the clock. Just my suggestions.

Cognition's default behavior is to enable the lagfix on it's first boot so you really don't need to worry about that. As for reinstalling the clock app, open the zip file you used to install Cognition and go to the system/app directory, pull out the clock apk, and then drop it onto your phone in the same directory.
Hi, how can I install removed apps from JUWE's ROM v5.1.?
He provided an ZIP file with all of the removed apps and some other files (needed for installation?). When I try just to install a single app like usualy it doesnt work.
My question is: How to install just one of these removed apps back (not all of them - Im interested mainly in thinkfree ... )
I think you have to flash the *.zip-file in recovery, then after booting you will be able to remobe the unwanted apps.

Since you are uninstalling default stock apps, anyway your warranty is going to void. Then why not install custom rom which doesn't have any of these bloatwares.
You could find one in development section.
ANDRO-ID v3.3 RC2 is the stable custom rom release till now.
If you want to remove only few specific apps and retain others which are absent in current Andro-id release then wait for few days, I will post a "how-to-build custom rom from stock " soon. Then you can remove any apps that you want add any apps / ui launcher as default system launcher.

Oh..? That's odd.... try installing another app that needs root permissions to make sure you have root. If you don't, I used superoneclick to root. Also try other apps to uninstall bloatware

Use titanium backup to selectively restore apps data that you want. but it would be better to have complete wipe before installing custom rom.

no no no a little bit wrong here ... chage it to r/w i.e read and write so you can edit the files mere being on r/o means u r in read only mode and here u cant delete
We can also do an adb and remove the apps from /system/data by using the command prompt in the system or Terminal in the phone?
I haven't tried it in my device yet. But I think this shud work.
Hi,
I have been trying to avoid talk update to hangout and i have already detached the talk app from market but after every restart it shows up again and have to detach it again. Have already converted the app into user app and again moving it into ext sd removes it from app drawer after restart. Is there a way to permanently detach it from market and also to make system app stick to external sd after restart after having moved them to external sd?

Since Google play updated it's broken. Check the latest update on titanium backup. It's change log says
improved market link, backup restore, detach

TBP is up to date but still the same. However is there still a fix for system apps sticking to external sd after reboot?
Used to work on ICS.. Latest Build but JB... Till now no
So there is no way to permanently detach app from market either?

I know, it's an old Thread, but I got to it myself with that problem - add ti 'Market Update Helper' and detach will remain.
Worked four days - updates are back sorry
how do i uninstall it? I wanna flash the pure audio mod

Try installing Titanium Backup Pro and uninstalling it (if I were you I'd only freeze it, more safe)
You can also use Uninstall Master - I used it and it's safe to remove.
