Android on HTC HD7

i know it will be posible it is a HTC phone now has anyone thought about it yet i own a samsung vibrant and i want this phone i love my phone but i change phones like a change my boxers and the vibrant is the best phone i had. but i like the way this one looks and i played with it and windows 7 is cool and not as laggy as other old windows but i would love to run the best os Android

[Q] Nexus S binaries with Vibrant?

I'm starting to learn how to compile Android ICS from source, and thanks to Shen's tutorial, I'm starting to "get it".
So I do have a few questions before I get started.
1) Does the Nexus S and the Samsung Vibrant use the exact same hardware?
2) Can I use the Nexus S binaries listed here (http://code.google.com/android/nexus/drivers.html) for the Vibrant if question #1 is a "yes"?
I was going to buy a Nexus S or GNexus just for the purpose of learning, but if my Vibrant is basically an Nexus S, I say why not use it? It's not my daily phone.
FYI, it already has ICS Passion v9.2 on it, and has an FFC (I added it). I would just like to get started in compiling my own ROM for the sake of learning, starting a new hobby, and hopefully able to contribute to the Android community in which I have already benefitted as a ROM-flashing enthusiast.

how to (remember) reset flash counter using TRIANGLE AWAY

I used this app on my galaxy s2 and I think its a good thing to remember everyone that this fantastic app working just great to reset the flash counter on your galaxy tab 2 7.0 and maybe all the others... =)
i was thinking its may be a good idea to post that cause the tablet world on xda is a lot smaller than i9100 or i9300 for example !
and some time a few words can help a lot !

Thanks for the though, but the app is already posted in the correct section of xda. Only create threads in Development forums if you're actually releasing software yourself, and please search in future before creating threads.

Why my threads are closed?????

There is no freedom to talk in these forums, guess u people are making stuff resticted to those who just came here to flash roms.
No space for improvement i guess. Some narcissistic people are willing to make this forum like the symbian forum which is now closed forever.
When there is a question posted, wait for the reply before closing it atleast.
Some hopeless blind followers are not letring the critics do their work. I will keep on saying that google is forcing users to use their services.
If u wanna close my thread close it but dont expect that u can easily shut me up. I will share my thoughts to some place else.

I agree, some of the mods should be fired.

There is freedom of speech if it is of use to the android platform..but why complain and make a fuss to people who have choosen android as there preferred format I'm sure there are different forums to rant if your not happy with your phone but this one is mostly used for useful information to benefit the note community and development..

If google is willing to make it better then they should implement things i am suggesting for tizen in their android.
Its plain and simple they are making basic functionality compromized even with such a great hardware due to poor piece of codes. My dialer pad opens slow, keyboard lags, wifi signal drops even a cheap nokia does these things in a flash. When i am suggesting how to improve people are making fun of me. Thats sad.
Constructive criticism should always be taken with open heart.
For a general user beside installing a seperate keyboard and launcher modify notification menu what else is there? Nothing this is simple customization.
Widgets are not androids stuff, old nokia started widget fashion so i would not credit android for that.

Buddy don't take things about ur phone to bad I don't think there will ever be a perfect phone whatever platform..what they fix for somthing it will always make somthing else worse for sombody else but that's what I personally like about android its so customizable so if ur not happy with ur keyboard there are loads of third party apps in the market..and I think thats why the big companies like samsung know this and try and concentrate more on hardware more than software..

Well, I would guess your threads are being closed because they don't fit the forum you are posting in. You are in a Q&A for the N7000, help and troubleshooting but your subject has nothing to do with the N7000, troubleshooting or help. Maybe post in the General Section:

Well first the flame burning post because, soon N4 users will feel cheated. Google is cheating them by giving them something which is just a mirage. U can see the issues in that forum about their phones ehich theyvare encountering just after 2 months.
N4 users posted such flame burning threads on our forums, they then started abusing and showing racism on someones views.
xda is not loyal to any one company, so if we feel that google is monopolizing at one front we have the right to say it.
There are many topics which i started and were closed and after a few days someone else posted the same things and are still active.
These topics are posted in general discussions with no intention to disturb the development on any front.
Lastly we have to admit that via these web services we are compromising our data on daily basis and making specific tech giants more powerful and their data servers artificially intelligent day by day. I dont want them to sell us our data in future.
A clear example is youtube. Our data made comercially available to us. Sorry if u will just want to blow their trumpet and make us go in the ditch.
Today another user posted the same thing in N4 forum which i said 2 days ago and my topic was closed.
Another user on N4 shared the same opinion that we are forced to use google services, being android users.
In all the topics i posted just tell me where i was wrong.

qazibasit, I was not aware of your other closed threads. I did not close them. You were PM'd by the Senior Moderator who closed. So hopefully that answers the question you pose by creating this thread, which is also pointless.
I fail to see the "point" of the thread I closed. Your thread was just a complaint. XDA is slowly filling up with "complaints" of all manners. XDA is and always will be focused on development, not just of Android, but all platforms that enable us to better our devices.
What in your thread I closed, allows us (the XDA community) to improve Android? Why post them here? Why not submit them to the AOSP I provided you with a link for? If you are not prepared to attempt to fix the "problem" you have no foundation to make any complaint about it.
Google do not charge you to use their services or features, nor do they make you use them. You decided to buy an Android handset. If your unhappy about that, then that is your decision. When you buy a new handset, buy iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry, there is choice, you just made the wrong one.
If anyone has an issue with the standard of moderation from any moderator please contact the Moderator Committee (in confidence) with your concerns.

A lot of us have already looked at it and still are looking at it we've had it since Monday. Probably beyond my capabilities but i do know the eteam have been looking at it

Seriously. ..whats wrong with people!? Sure i could have, and no I'm not in search of fame and glory. Maybe when i was 15 and also couldn't behave and be nice to people. What i meant was, that if you think i should have posted this in another thread you can point it out in a nice way or just klick thanks and move on. What rudness leads to is real newcomers wont dear to post anything and therefor wont learn and maybe we all miss out on a great contributior. And i disagree as the other threads i found was either saying our phone got LP or was closed. And i would like to give a big thank you to sawdoctor. He answered in a good manor and that should have been the end of this thread. Or did you alla know that i had been looked in to!?

Yes Sawdoctor, you are completely right ?. And AxAtAx makes a good point also. But my main point stands. We should stop flameing and help each other out. A simple "we have threads to discuss this" would have sufficed. Spare the bad attitude. Or i can be wrong? Maybe a bad climate is what everybody wants?
I really understand the concept of starting thread upon thread with the "same" topic isn't productive . But i really thought this was different than "Wow LP is here!". But if you all think otherwise i apologies.

Dad got an Edge and installed leaked Lollipop on it. If I can do something that could help porting it to our Note 4 please tell. But it shouldn't involve root, he doesn't want to root it (yet?).

Ive ran a note edge rom i modded on my note 4 and it throws off the calibration of the screen even after trying to make the exits so it doesnt do that make my note 4 practically unusable til i got into service mode and reset the calibration
