I'm currently looking at two ROMs in particular -- xtresolite http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-xtrestolite-pure-edition-1-0-beta-1-t3082467 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...opment/rom-extreme-syndicate-v2-5-18-t3112130 .
For xtresolite, I'm currently rooted on 5.02. The ROM page says to update bootloader and TWRP recovery from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112855&postcount=3 ; however, the link doesn't have a G925V option. Does this mean I cannot update my bootloader, or are one of the ones listed there compatible with my device?
For extreme syndicate, what does OE2 and OC3 mean? Can I simply follow the instructions if I'm already rooted on 5.02?
Thanks!
Our bootloader is locked so you cannot use that rom. Extreme Syndicate is awesome. Look in about device under baseband version. Last 3 are what's important and follow instructions in extreme Syndicate thread accordingly.

Hello,
I have been searching and looking. Is there a way to get the lollipop on a n900a? If so, what needs to be done? I don't think it's as simple as flashing the Cyanogenmod12 on a rooted 4.4.4. Any links or ideas how to get this to work?
Thanks in advance.
no. not until att releases an update.
How about using a safestrap?
nope. we need a leak or official release that has a kernel for lollipop.
Did you have to downgrade back to 4.4.2 and then upgrade to 4.4.4 with the stock kernel just curious. I seen that you were running a rooted 4.4.4?

There's a leak already here on xda, not yet for us, I wish somebody would make it work for us . http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/guide-t2983873
RoloRacer on KillerKat Note 3
So disappointed that AT&T are dragging there feet on releasing Lollipop 5.0
Wish we could find a version out there for SM900A
Still looking for a complete guide to getting on a working version of 5.0+ rooted, xposed sm-900A... even if it requires Odin's great wrath.

The only issue I'm having is the mic... other than that, I've got it rooted although SS won't work on this version... supposedly.
Enjoy.
Hi Friends,
I have a 910T3 running on COG2 with TEKXodus URv3. I want to upgrade to the latest version which requires DOK2 firmware.
Couple of questions:
1. Can someone point me to the Stock Odin file for a 910T3? And then the stock Odin file for DOK2? I heard we should Odin back to stock before going to TEKXodus for the best results. Is this true?
2. If Odining to stock first is a non-factor, can someone tell me where to get the best file to either Odin or TWRP to DOK2 from COG2, to get ready for the latest TEKXodus version?
3. Lastly, is it true that once I move to DOK2, I can never come back to a KK version of the 910T3 model?
Thanks and I appreciate any help from you in advance!

Thanks brother, looks like what I need!
Follow up questions:
1. What if I want full root and not system less root?
2. Is it true that once I'm on DOK2, I can never downgrade to a KK build and Bootloader?
Thank you again!
I still have a Note 3 wifi only that i use for games. It has 4.4.2 Dynamic 6.1 KillerKat on it. Any chance Nougat rom has been made for this device and could I install it still? Been a while since I have flashed any roms.
The att note 3 had a locked bootloader so there is no nougat for this phone.

Could you explain a little more please? I have Safestrap root with a custom rom on an ATT Note 3. Since I could care less for the ATT part could I install a custom rom that runs nougat if no one made one for the ATT version? I only use this on wifi and it's well out of warranty.
The phone can only flash ROMs that work with safestrap and there are no nougat roms that user safestrap.

Okay now I understand. Thank you.
Hi guys , I have been looking through xda and could not find a single discussion on basics of installing custom rom on android devices my very first question is
1.) I have a smasung galaxy note 3 n9005 currently running 5.0 lollipop version, I tries to install a marshmallow custom rom on this device but it fails and I have to again restore my back up so I want to ask whether it is compulsory to install a marshmallow kernel for a marshmallow rom or can a marshmallow rom install on lollipop kernel .

No clue about the kernels.
Where might I find a list of ROMS that can be loaded with Safestrap?
This is not the forum for the n9005. The sm-n9005 forum is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3
Installing a custom ROM on the AT&T note 3 on very different from the international note 3 as the AT&T note 3 has a locked bootloader.
Hello!
Sprint Note 5 stock original 5.1.1. I need to put custom recovery and root. I know how to do that. I have been away from the scene for a while. Not since CM.
Should I update the OS OTA then root and ROM? Or can I just go from my current 5.1.1?
I need a stable ROM that has wifi tether, and no bloatware.
Can anyone suggest a ROM and a Kernel to Odin for my root?
I have been reading and watching a lot of YouTube but all the rom choice's have my head spinning.
Thanks!!
Max
Search forum Dr ketan note rom and ask there

[Wrong place for this Thread]
- You can go from Android 5.1.1 to 7.0 without any upgrades done befor but BL and CP have to be upgraded.
Flash Recovery and than ROM Kernel etc. ( Look at Tutorials if you dont know how to )
Hey everyone! After lurking for weeks and doing updates I signed up to give props and dig a little deeper....
I started with a G870A running 4.4.2 NG3 and needed to enable VoLTE, following r0ckarongs effortless tutorial I updated to 6.0.1 QD1 through the individual updates.
[EOL][G870A][MM][6.0.1] All Firmware Updates (latest QD1) (Updated 20/04/2018)[EOL]
Here you can find the update files for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (G870A) from AT&T General Remarks (Important): This does NOT work for S5 Actives from Verizon. These updates WILL REMOVE ALL your data. Make a backup with Smart Switch first...

Unfortunately, I read numerous reviews of KK vs LP, KK vs MM, LP vs MM and thought 6.0.1 would be the way to go......and I looooathe it!
Has anyone developed a smooth method of downgrading from the 6.0.1 version back to 4.4.2 or 4.4.4?
Tips on AT&Ts bloatware removal would also be helpful....
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance!
I don't think it's possible as ATT and Verizon locked the bootloader for their S5's effectively making it impossible or difficult to downgrade
42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide
#1.1. Think that everyone's Samsung Galaxy S5 is the same as yours... Think again! There are currently 42 models of the Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. Most of which are covered in this General Galaxy S5 forum. Some of these models have already had as many as 24 different stock Samsung firmware...
androidforums.com
That's what I'd found as well, along with a few that claimed success using numerous programs to start fresh - no confirmation on the accuracy of that though.
With the PH3 (6.0.1) update came a stock image containing the 6.0.1 bootloader, essentially making any previous device identical to one with factory installed MM.
I was thinking a stock image of KK 4.4.2 would function the same as the PH3 update by reverting the bootloader and OS, I can do most anything with a pc but Android's a new animal....so, I'm likely incorrect and have no idea wth I'm talking about. lol
Having tweaked and swapped a lot of pc software and OS I figure it may work since the older version OS would still match the original hardware - maybe someone will chime in that's tried it or has a copy of the KK factory image I can try installing. I actually have a NITB G870A....but haven't the faintest clue how to get a copy of the factory image off of it......
I appreciate the input Brother, thanks for the response!
