[WP8.1] Deployment Problem
Hi!
I keep having problems with deployment (appx, appxbundle). On Windows 7 I kept having "Parameter is incorrect" messages, and I've read somewhere that I need to upgrade my (PC) OS to 8.1 or 10. So I did and now I get the 0x8973180E error. And I have no idea what to do with it. By the way, I got my Lumia 2 months ago, so I'm pretty new to world of Windows Phone.
Any suggestions?
P.S My OS is Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot get any thing to work with Windows Vista. I never had problems with XP and my other Wizard. I had it replaced through the insurance. Please help me. I have been through the threads claiming to have some way of tricking Vista with old drivers. I have installed them and had no change. Read all the threads!!
So Dont do it!!!
Man some versions work some doesnt... TRY XP men if you dont have problems since your first Wizard and xp use.
Dont be in panic mode, is not prooved even if many thread said that.
I'm just pissed, i had a great ROM running on my old phone. now i am stuck with a computer running Vista Ultimate and Mobile 5 on he replacement phone. I was hoping somebody found a way to run these Roms through Vista successfully.
Vista support for Windows Mobile is really hit and miss, it works for some, and not at all for others....your best bet is finding a friend with XP and upgrading it there.
Not G4 specific, moved > Upgrading
i use vmware with an xp image to mod my phone, i run vista x64.
Upgrade vista with all available service packs then download the latest version of WMDC from microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx#download
and try flashing then
If you still have problems try replacing the ruuupgrade files with Muns ones and use these to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=52404&d=1190997171
if that doesnt work then you havent done what i just said

I cannot flash my Wizard now that I have Vista 64-bit. I have followed many different methods that I have found on XDA in the last few days. I've downloaded and ran many different RUU tools, nothing gets me past the RUU crashing.
The one problem that I get hung up on is while installing a new driver for the Pocket PC (wceusbshx64.inf) in device manager I get the error message that the driver is not signed, I click next anyways. I then get the following message "The driver may be corrupt or missing (Code 39)".
Any other ideas? I'm having flashing withdrawals.............
Thank you for your help
Anyone that knows away to get around the above problems? Luckily I still have my XP computer upstairs, so I can still flash new roms. But I would like to keep it all on one computer (Vista)
Thanks

Thanks, I remember seeing that thread before. I'll have to find XP and give it a try. The XP disk I have is for another computer so I'm not sure it will work.
Thanks
Hey guys, in the past i have upgraded from the stock os to what ever the newest on here was at the time.
But some time after vista came out i downloaded a possible offical upgrader from o2s xda website, this heap of crap failed half way through upgrading with no error messages - i assume it was becuase i was running on vista at the time.
So after that, once we turn on the device we just see what i assume is the bootloader, When connected it says "USB v1.06" and if we disconnect it says "Serial" instead of usb.
Some research today provided there are vista drivers to be downloaded, so i installed those (On windows server 2008 x64 R2 beta! which is based on vista rtm) the driver seemed to install fine,
I downloaded "Syed Ather WM 6.1 Dark Edition" and ran HimaUpgradeUt_noID.exe but this errors out before even running with the following:
---------------------------
HimaUpgradeUt_noID.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application.
So any general direction here on how to get my little device back would be nice thanks guys
it requires .Net Framework 2.0
More Info here : http://support.realtyware.com/article.aspx?id=10015
Funny! Nice of it to give such a useful error message!
Thank you for your input, i will install now
The installer says i already have the framework, so this is strange.
oh, u running Windows Vista , get the latest version of WMDC - Windows Mobile Device Center and idk if the x64 version of the drivers ever worked..but you could alwas try.. i suggest u to to install the rom on a pc with XP
Thanks for the fast responces etc
I got this sorted last night
Welcome back to life little xda
Hi all I'm new to this so if I am asking the obvious then forgive me.
I have been using a KJam for ages and have just bought a MDA Vario III and for the life of me I cannot find drivers for either of them to sync to my Windows 7 64bit laptop. I have tried the HTC site, O2, T-mobile and google searches to no avail.
Once I can find the drivers I can change the awfull O2 rom version that is installed on the MDA and get my contacts and other stuff off my Kjam
Thanks to anyone prepaired to help
Just install WMDC from the M$ site.
I have installed as suggested but windows only finds a generic serial device and a message that windows failed to find the device driver.
When Windows Mobile Device Center is run it just tries to connect but eventually gives an ERROR message
I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a Sony Laptop
any help would be very welcome
Cheers

I have read that many Lumia users were able to install Windows 10 on unsupported phones but it doesn't seem to work for me in Lumia 520. I either get 'Server Error' or 'no builds'. What is it that I have done a mistake and how can I install Windows 10 on my 520?
P.S. I'm not an expert so I need step-by-step method.
Hello there,
following Chris tutorials, I flashed my Teclast C5J6 tablet with Lollipop.
Later I wanted to install windows 10, so I downloaded (with Microsoft Media Creation Tool) all four possible Windows 10 version:
Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Home N, Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Pro N.
I tried to install each of them but when it comes to insert a serial number, I insert the one obtained from the preinstalled Windows 8 (got with Belarc Advisor) and every time it says that the serial number is not correct.
So now I am tring to reinstall Windows 8.1 but also this time, it says that the serial is not correct.
So what to do with Windows 10? And what was the exact windows version preinstalled on my Teclast (at least I can have a fully licensed windows 8, waiting for an answer for Windows 10, that anyway gives me a lot of problems with drivers, first of all the touchscreen one, that it is not installing) ?
Thanks in advance!
I had the same, for some reason Teclast blocked my windows key. I contacted Microsoft directly and thats what they told me. So after that I contacted my seller on allyexpress, but thy could help me ether.
I think our key isn't working because we use a other ISO file.
So I fixed it the "bad" way ( if you know what I mean, with a clean start in windows 10).
So I highly recommend to use a other windows 8.1 key. If you don't want to argue with your buyer or teclast them self.
After your windows 8.1 is activated correctly, you can upgrade without problems to windows 10:victory::victory::victory::victory:
