[Q] What am I doing wrong with this bootanimation??

This is what is supposed to happen... The apple flies in from the back, Then the android guy eats the apple, the screen turns white, then "android" fades in. This is not what happens. It is just jumbled up and confusing, and ends the right way. Can someone help me fix this. Problem Solved. I added an extra "0" in some of the *.png files. I have it fixed and I am uploading the good animaiton now. Check it out! I am going to call it, Eat an Apple a Day.

No. The easiest thing to do is assemble the individual .pngs into an animated gif that you can upload as a single animated pic. Or just record it with a video camera, upload it to youtube, and post a link.

Thanks, I think from now on I will compile the animation into a .gif. I am working on a new one that is a bit more complex, but it should look a lot smother as well. It is going to be megaman X themed.

Looks great! I also saw your megaman one Well done! I'm excited to get them on my cappy.
Noob question but how do I go about making these? I'm still very new to this themeing game...any help would be appreciated

Let's just say I'm horrible at this stuff lol....im experienced with android rooting and stuff...but somehow....I can't seem to figure out how to follow these simple Instructions

I'm actually very impressed that you tried. :victory: Most users wouldn't have gone that far. I would suggest that you go to the themes and apps section, find a bootanimation thread and contact the OP and ask very nicely for help. The fact that you are willing to try to do this yourself is the spirit of XDA. I would imagine that the proper sizing of your image/images is important. Most developers will be willing to help someone learn to do it themselves. Good luck and keep trying!

Working on it now but on the first test all I get is a black screen. On test zip one the only change I made was in the desc.txt to change the resolution to 1440 2560. Now I'm going to play around with the desc.txt some more b4 I edit those 200+ images. OP (IMHO) try rereading the link that ends in 1852621. This is the one I used back in my S2 T989 days to make my own. I had to go through it a few times but with that and another desc.txt to study I finally got it. In my limited experience it's properly writing the desc.txt. I still refer it!

Got it!! Now all that's left is to adjust the fps and replace the 4 with a 6. The original fps was at 20 I have this at 45. Idk if there is something more technical but it looks slow. Gonna bump it up to 55 to see how it looks. Unfortunately its time to return to work. I'll post a link here when done. Hopefully I don't get home to late in the morning.

Its not final yet. There are some editing and trying to find the right fps. As of right now it works but the animation is slow ( not to my standard) . I'm just trying to help the op get it ported. When its up to par I'm sure he'll post it here. I'll pm you a link just as a teaser but please don't distribute it.

Hi! I'm trying to create my own boot animation myself. I'm getting this same black screens. How did you fix it? What size do the images need to be? The original is 832x520.

Resize all the images to 1440x2560 for portrait and 2560x1440 for landscape. The black screen could be because of the file structure of your zip. Assuming you use 7zip; right click on your bootanimation and select view archive. In the window that pops up you should only have the image folder(s) and the desc.txt. Make sure that when you create your zip that you select the image folder(s) and desc.txt nothing else. If your still getting a black screen pm it to me I'll look at it when I can.

[MOD][STOCK][NOUGAT][OVERLAY]-LG NavBar themes

Hey everyone, cutting the story short,after some guidance from @Mentalmuso and @Zacharee1 I've went manic on making this work.
At the moment this is proof of concept if ya like,but in near future I'm planning to make more themes.
One of my goals is to make status bar themes using the same concept,but we'll leave that for later.
Currently only recent,home and back buttons are changeable, I'll add support for rest of nav bar buttons later.

Already doing it, obviously without animation since I'm just replacing png images. Have you tested the navbar, what LG G5 do you have, how's it working?

If you are on Fulmics you can change the navbar size

It's because of the g5 image you've sent,that's the smallest I could make it with simple edits, I'm at work, so all that was done on my phone

Custom Wallpapers by Techie Android for OnePlus One

I've been making custom wallpapers for some time now, and thought I'd create a thread to post them on. I'll be adding more as I make them. The originals are 1920x1080 in lossless png (I compress them as much as GIMP allows). I'll be uploading the originals for maximum quality. If anyone has some suggestions on anything regarding my wallpapers feel free to share your thoughts. I'm considering including betas (unfinished wallpapers that are being completed) if this sounds like something y'all would be interested in do comment, I'm all ears.
Edit: The first wallpaper I've uploaded has lost significant detail & quality. The upload process has converted it to jpg which is lossy and cropped the pixels a bit. :/
I guess I'll zip them and then leave the lossy uploads as previews.

I think he's trying to say add a oneplus logo on the wall that he shared,like you did with wall in OP.

@Techie Android i meant the same design but with different size , if u try to use the same background on our device u will have to crop it to fit as it's meant for big screens ( laptops and PCs )

[EXPIRED] Taking Requests For Custom Boot Logos

UPDATE: Due to personal life circumstances, I will no longer be able to offer custom boot logos. Many thanks to those who participated while this thread was active!
I haven't seen much action lately for custom boot logos for our treasured OnePlus One, so I thought since I have some time on my hands I would offer to make a boot logo for anyone wanting one. I'm a graphic artist and enjoy doing these sort of things. The boot logos are installed by flashing the zip with TWRP, or your recovery of choice.
Just to be clear, these are not the boot animations, but rather the boot logo, the very first image you see when you power on. I will attach some samples, along with a flashable zip of the first image, to give you an idea of the possibilities.
If you'd like a custom logo that shows a family member, loved one, pet, favorite actor, or just text... pretty much whatever, you can reply in this thread and let me know what you'd like. Of course I'd need you to include an image file of your choice if it's a personal acquaintance of yours. Be specific as to what text you'd like, if any, and what color text. Any image file you provide would ideally be about 1080x1920, but that's not absolutely necessary. A larger size than that is much preferred over a small image size for best results. If you'd rather not post the image here in public, then you can always attach it in a PM to me.
I don't know if there will be any interest, because as I said, haven't seen much action regarding boot logos lately, but let's see what happens.
And for the record, these are offered absolutely free of charge. Not even a cup of coffee donation. My way of giving back to the community.

Good idea. Here is the original boot logo, in original colors for now. If anyone wants one in different colors, just let me know, otherwise I really could choose countless versions, in different colors.
