I keep hearing about this app called Fi Spy, and I did sign up for a beta test for it, but when I clicked the link on the beta test sign up page to download, the app was unavailable.
Does anyone have this app? Does anyone have a link to download? I'd love to use it with my Nexus 6, as I just signed up for Project Fi yesterday.
Thanks.

Wow, thanks! Earlier, I got a "not available" error.

The Beta sign ups always take up to an hour to confirm.
Once you sign up for the beta, there is a link at the bottom to download. Sometimes it may take an hour or two to be able to download. If you can't get it, email [email protected]

So once you click the button to become a tester, it's normal for the download link for the app on Google Play to give you this message at first?
"We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server."
Hmmm, I got an immediate link as soon as I signed up.
It's there now, thanks!
The Google Play download link is flaky. Five minutes ago it gave me the same error, but now it's working just fine.
Google Play link on PC worked just fine for me.
You all may want to search the Google play store for an app called fiswitch....cud b just what your looking for

Hey, is this app gone now? I try to click the link (and other links people have posted around the web) and I get an error that says that the beta isn't available for my google account and that I need to actually be invited to join the beta. Where can I get an invite? There is no option to sign up for the beta in any of the links people have posted.

I tried to send a invite to the new Google Music App but it refuses to let me send 1. Anyone else got this problem?
Where do you send the invite?
nm You can download the stand alone apk. The link is in the News section.
You can send a invite here. http://music.google.com/
I've been waiting for about a day but still nothing. I got the standalone apk and its pretty sweet.
Yes, so far i'm liking the stand-alone app. It's visually appealing and the interface is very nice. A little slower than other media apps I have tried but so far Google has done a good job.
I just tried it. Was able to send a request. Did you try another browser? Or does it say, ''Me no like you. No sendy for you.''?

I got my invite yesteday. Has anyone gotten the app posted inside the quoted area to work on HeroC? About to give it a shot.
Also, the dev for LauncherPro, Fede, has a beta of a music app out too. Its UI looks like WP7/Zune.
anyone have an .apk for Google Music? I tried to download it from the market, but for some reason it's not showing up. I tried the one from the Android Apps forum, but it just FC's on me.
this apk worked for me. im just waiting on Google for the music account.
Awesome thanks so much. I just got my account today, and its so sweet. The only bummer is that the upload speed is atrocious.
Great post. I have been looking for this.

Is anyone working on a fix for force closes in album landscape mode?
got my invite, syncing now
how do i upload my music?
Just got mine this morning and seems to work well. Download/upload speeds are good (I'm on a 100Mb line using wifi though)
Click the "Add Music" link at the top right of the Google Music site and then download the Music Manager program.

Anyone else getting "Application not Installed" using the .apk?
Edit:
Fixed this by rebooting phone, uninstalling the supposedly failed installation, and trying again. At first there was no Music showing up in the application, so I closed it. Navigated to settings, accounts and sync, switched off Auto Sync and manually synced my Music. Now it works like a charm.
just got my invite today, started loading at about 3, and i'm at 90 of 9000, i think it's gonna take a while.
I installed the apk attatched at the beginning of the thread, and it worked great.
if you actually get an invite on the eris is it fully functional or does landscape still force close?
Still FC for me. v3.0.1.339

We've all had issues with the play store over the years, but this one has me stumped.
Rooted phone, but that's all
everything was fine for almost a month, but a few days ago, i noticed I was no longer able to connect to the play store.
I did all the "normal" things, cleared caches/data from play store, google framework, uninstalled my gmail account and re-installed it, downgraded play store, upgraded play store, tried the hosts file trick, even did a factory reset, and still no play store connection.
Even called Tmobile tech support, and got to the tier 2 folks, and they couldn't get it to work either, so they are sending a new phone tuesday.
Until then, I want to keep on trying to get this to work; I haven't unrooted with Supersu yet, figuring that rooting had nothing to do with this, since it worked fine for a month, rooted, but does anyone else have any suggestions?
Its weird; when I open the play store app, and type something into the search box, it will actually take me to the page where that app is, but when I try to download/install it, I get the dreaded error 927; when I back out, and just try to open the play store app, It doesnt connect at all.
When I try to send files to my phone from my computer, it shows "my apps", but when I try to send them to my phone, I get an error on my phone saying "failed to install" app..
Any thing else I might have not tried with this?
Thanks!
You dont have any battery saver apps going do you...because sometimes they can mess with network settings. Also that error 927 is a network error so you may want to start sniffing around your network settings. I have the tmobile flex so let me know if you need any settings.
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
no, no battery saver apps running, and I went through a couple of complete factory resets on my own, and with tier 2 from TMobile, plus they re-provisioned my phone, and even that didn't help.
Whats so weird is that when I type an app name in the search bar in the play store app, it takes me to the page where that app, and others like it get listed.
If I click on one of the app, it takes me to the download page of that app, and once I click on "Install", the progress bar starts, and it looks like its going to download/install, but then it throws the dreaded error 927 flag.
Trust me, I've been modding phones for many many years, and this play store stuff has happened to me before, but never this stubborn as to make me have to replace the phone.
Yeah that is weird. Well if you do figure it out post the solution. I would love to put the solution in the memory bank just in case.

your idea of creating a new gmail account works!
Only problem of course is all the things I have purchased originally through the play store wont be accessible to me under a different identity..
Can you "combine" identities on the play store, or add others to your account so you can share stuff?
Thanks for the suggestion about creating a new identity! :good:
I'm still gonna try the replacement phone that t-mobile is sending, to see if that one works normally..
I'm glad it worked for you. I don't think you can share apps... Although that would be awesome!!

You can share apps in the sense that when you open up the playstore you can choose which account to use in settings and then download all your apps. I do that for all my daughters androids. Log
both in turn everything off from my Gmail account so that she doesn't get my email etcetera, and then log into the playstore using my Gmail when she needs paid apps and so on.
EDIT: Right after I posted this I rethought the idea and realized that may not work for you because your whole problem is that YOUR Gmail acct is the one acting up throwing the 927 error

yep, I think I did the same thing in my Samsung Days..was so easy to wipe and restore...seems like a long time ago...
Fortunately, T-Mobile is sending a replacement phone today, so I dont have to deal with that..
If we had a custom recovery, it would be a non issue.....soon, hopefully!
just an FYI...
A new phone did NOT fix this; the only thing that works, is setting up a new gmail account, and using that to get apps in the play store..
There has to be a way to fix this; I wasn't happy re-buying all my paid apps again...
