First of all you need to root your phone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AWYA1RkRhI and when you root it,you need to install xrecovery http://androidforums.com/x8-all-thi...ick-root-install-use-xrecovery-xperia-x8.html and when you do all that then you can install custom rom for stock kernel for exm. gingerDX

1st - Wrong Section.
2nd - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1921442 (not purely stock but much better, have a look)
3rd - Use search button, before posting.
Cheers,

Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
or you can use mobile odin.
ask questions in Q&A sections. As for your problem, if you want pure stock then only flashing via odin through usb is the way afaik. Repair your usb port.

You can't flash a stock rom using CWM, just custom roms, but here there is a pure stock rom...just kernel changed (cf-roof b83)
And yes you can flash a stock rom WITHOUT Odin using Mobile Odin MOD for GT-S5830
Be carefull with this app...but several members used it to flash a new stock rom successfully even you can read the latest post in the thread to get more info

Problem fixed !
I used this kernal from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147792
@LilleJohn if you are trying to install JB 4.3 remember that you can't use a kernel for JB 4.1.2. This will give you bootloop for sure
i installed philz recovery yesterday after which i bricked my n7000 while i tried installing the C-Rom .
I just now used ODIN to get back to my STOCK ROM that is 2.3.6.

Something which is stable ,smooth and latest !!
Thanks !!
i have read many many posts and whenever i try to install any recovery, i get E:verification failed !!

While on GB you cannot install any kernel from recovery.. only using Odin. . You have to be either on ICS or JB to be able to follow Philz kernel install steps.

First of all, Thanks a lot for your reply. Now i understand why and how my several attempts failed
now i clearly understand that if im on JellyBean , then i can install kernel from recovery.
I just updated my phone to JellyBean using the official update option in the phone.
Can you please direct me to the right link to install kitkat rom from using odin .

KK cannot be installed using Odin as its a custom rom.. As you are on JB, root it using one of the Philz kernels matching your rom build number (post 3 or Philz thread TW).. The flash raw r4 kernel, boot into its recovery and then flash KK roms.

Please kindly just reply by answering the specifically asked question regarding the kit kat rom.
I am in a confused state as i can see there are a huge amount of ROMs available many are nightly made, which say them to be not in a stable state.
Found the SlimKat in the forum ,downloading the ROM SlimSaber-n7000-4.4.2-20140531.zip 139mb
Installation instructions..
Download the latest build from [here]
Gapps ( if you don't have it already) from [here]
!Recommended! Full wipe, and manual format /system
Flash ROM and the gapps you want, reboot
Maybe a silly question but ,Do i need to download the gapps files & why ??

This is a development forum. It is not expected that you are a developer but it would be a sign of respect to read their threads and follow their instructions - they spent a lot of their time writing them. And if you not understand then try to use the search.

Not one of these questions show anything of this:
the first is part of the installation instructions.
the second can be found with the search (and was answered thousands of times)
the third is simply against XDA rules
To flash a kitkat rom, the recovery needs to be compatible with SE linux.
The recovery is part of a kernel
To flash a kitkat rom you need to flash a recent kernel first.
Try flashing raw kernel r4,r5, or Forest-CM11. it does not matter that they are incompatible with your current or future roms, they will get overwritten when you flash a rom (roms include kernels).
Then reboot recovery or restart phone and enter recovery again.
Then you wipe cache, data, and system.
Then flash the kitkat rom of choice.

Sir which is the Best ROM fit to My Phone? CM11,AMCHA,AOSP or Sammy? Which do one do you prefer?
Sir i'm running 4.3, meaning i'll go back to 4.1then update it into A recent ROM Like 4.3 again? I'm Confuse... Please help..
4.1 roms are more stable and solve such of issues by simply flashing it , for the stability i recommand Amcha rom + AGNi kernel
try flashing again 4.3 but this time do a factory reset right after you finished flashing...
happened to me once this...i tried to install a custom ROM simply wi-fi won't turn on...
if you are still under warranty be careful not to void it by trying to fix the problem...
Don't flash an official 4.3 or you'll get KNOX , warranty void and plenty of problems
Flash an official 4.1 and after a Custom 4.3 (Amcha)
