I bought my 920i off of eBay, it came from Singapore and there was no region sticker on the box like my previous international phones. Is the Singapore version not a true international version or is it not region locked? Has anyone who bought the 920i from Singapore had the region sticker on their box?

Thanks. After I changed my Google search term it came back with quite a few posts saying that the Singapore version is not region locked. As long as Samsung does not change it I guess I will just buy from Singapore in the future.
All phones sold in Singapore cannot be locked according to local regulations...

I got a good deal on my N920I.. but I hope it is supported here on xda..
Hello guys I want to buy the Note 5 but I'm a little bit confused with the models they're available! For start I'm living in Germany and I'm going to use the phone with Vodafone. To be honest I don't care about LTE.
I saw in Internet that they're a couple of versions like 920C, 920CD, 920i, 9208 etc.
Which are the difference between them? I really like to buy the dual Sim version of the phone.
Thanks in advance!

920c and 920i are unbranded without any carrier. I am currently using 920c.
Check out this Web site
http://www.willmyphonework.net/
You can select your country/carrier etc then select the phone you want and it will tell you if it's compatible. ...
So unbranded mean ? I'm also using 920c

Hi,
I own a Samsung galaxy Note 4 (N910F). I bought this phone in Germany and it has a region lock on it. Last year I went to 3 different places, first in Nepal, second in the Cape Town and the third one in Brazil due to my work. I carried my phone with me but i was not able to use the SIM in those countries.
How can I unlock (region unlock ) my phone so that I can use my phone World Wide.
My Phone is :
N910F (Europe) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805.
Is it a region lock, or a carrier lock?

Hi, I have a note 8 in south korea (which is where ingot it from), and as far as i can tell i cant add any of my english cards on samsung pay, only my koreans ones.
My moth has an s8 that she got in spain and also cant add her english cards on it.
Doesnt anyone know what the deal is with this and if there is a way around it?

Could you confirm the model number for your Note 8? Is it SM-N950N?
If so, you can only use Korean cards with Samsung Pay.
As for the S8 from Spain, it will probably be the SM-G950F, in which case Samsung Pay will work in Europe, UK, Middle East, and lots of other places but not in South Korea.

G930F is a Galaxy S7.
Your first post mentioned it was an S8.
Anyway, you'll have to flash the British firmware on the phone to enable Samsung Pay to accept British cards.

N950N will only take South Korean issued cards.
You can't change the region on the 'N' variant.

Yes sorry my mother has the s7. She has to use android pay.
What if I activate Samsung Pay with Korean sim card on my N950N and after activation I'll put out Korean sim card and insert other country sim card, will samsung pay will be working after it?

I'm assuming you missed this post a few above yours.
the F can be region changed because it is sold across many different countries, and any of their official firmware can be flashed with Odin. The N is sold only in South Korea, so there are no other countries with 950N firmware.
If you flash F firmware via a zip in a custom recovery like TWRP, Knox is tripped and Samsung Pay won't work at all.
Hi,
Anyone have the face unlock option on the Mi9.
According to Chris from TechTablets.com it should be there, his video review also shows it..
My Mi9 does not have setting, see attached screenshot.
Any help is welcome!
Set your region to Hongkong and you will find face unlock.

You need to set the Region to something like India and than Face Unlock Option should become available. And some other Apps. And maybe more Ads.
It works also in region Italy, without ads.

Seem it only works in regions where Mi9 is officially launched.
In EU, Spain, France and Italy are the ones, not in the Netherlands where I live. So need to change it for now
No it's not that.... It's because of security reasons i guess.
What's the problem to set it on Italy? Language will be kept.

ok, but thats a big disrespect to people who buy the phone. Its a GLOBAL version so support and options should be global.
Its sold official in the Netherlands, they have an official partner here so thats hilarious
Try to reboot, it was not here for me at first but it appeared

I am also living in Netherlands and i can agree with you. I just bought the 64gb from Amazon.es and i can co firm the face unlock is not available if you set Netherlands ans reagion. An also Theme store is not available.
I set my region to Switzerland no face unlock avalibility but at least i have Theme Store now.
You can set it to Spain or Italy and have all the futures. For now....is ok like that.
