Hello
I think that there is something wrong with my nexus 6 vibration.. It feels and sounds awkward. It's louder than my ringtone...
Do you guys have the same problem?
How can I lower the intensity?
Can the vibration piece be replaced?
Thank you!
Mine also is abnormally loud and sounds like it's rattling around in there.

A lot of custom kernels support adjusting the vibration strength, then just use kernel auditor.

I'm on elemental X kernel. I Can't find vibration intensity control on kernel auditor.. I know it should be under misc but it's not there!

Sounds like it doesn't support it then. Despair, benzoCore, Blu_Spark, hellsCore, and probably a few others support vibration control. I set mine to 70% and it's still strong enough to feel without being extremely loud or rattly.

I am using one of pershoot kernels but the audio gain boost is driving me crazy the BT headset is unusable because it's too loud and also the speaker even at the lower volume set.
So I ask if there's another Kernel that have support for Froyo and 720P video recording without that audio gain hack?
Thanks !
Enomther's ROM has one that can be installed through SpareParts.
Cool, I will check it out.
This volume thing is too loud for me.
Check the sticky in the developer forum... There is a list of five our so kernels with links. I have had great luck with Wildmonks no-audio boost kernels.
Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions.
What exactly through difference between pershoots and wildmonks kernel? Other the no audio boost.

best battery kernel for cm7 2.0?
hi guys i wanted to know if anyone could suggest a good kernel for cm7 which has worked to save battery but still maintain a good performance. i am currently using stock cm7 kernel.
thanks
I've tried a few and settled on 2.6.38.8 Tiamat_N1-v4.1.0. Spent all afternoon screwing around on my phone and still at 70% charge. That is a bit better than what I've seen before.
I'm a novice but I've tried a few different kernels with my CM7.2 RC2 build and this has been the best so far. I have one of the N1 phones with really low in-call speaker volume, this kernel appears to boost the volume. I don't notice any distortion either. This kernel also suppose ext4 filesystems which I need for S2E. And finally.. I picked this over others because Bluetooth works and I had troubles earlier. Look for "Tiamat_N1-v4.1.0.zip"
Note that I am also running an updated radio (5.08) and the blackrose HBOOT. Sorry but I do not recall if those are prerequisites for this kernel.
I used kernels from pershoot, IR, and Tiamat. All very good for battery.
Don't forget to lower your min CPU as much as your phone can handle. Mine can go as low as 128 MHz with no wake issues. I usually leave at 998 Max. I also use SmartassV2 governor.

Hello, I was wondering if there is a custom rom with gamma control built in? I'm just so frustrated with this blacking clipping issue, I wish I could change the gamma level some how... :/ I have heard couple apps that does this but uses CPU and doesn't work on videos
Thank you
In ParanoidAndroid there is a setting "Outdoor Mode" It is not exactly what you looking for but it makes gamma a bit higher.
CM9 has it, but it's not yet working. There is also Outdoor Mode available - exactly like in Paranoid rom mentioned by Abagnale.
Thanks guys, I guess there is no way to lower the gamma level I can't believe there is no fix for this black crush issue since the release of gnote /sigh

galaxy note needs this gamma control.

Hey guys, just got my nexus 6 yesterday and I noticed I have the pink tint issue only when I'm using adaptive brightness, its not a big deal for me but once kernels get gamma control support would we be able to fix this issue? just curious if its fully a hardware problem or software.
Also I don't if this has been answered already but why does the brightness go so much lower when adaptive brightness is on?
Any insight would be great, thanks!
I'm wondering the same thing! And what's the difference on battery comparing adaptive brightness on vs off aswell
If I turn my brightness way down it turns pinkish.

ElementalX kernel has gamma control capabilities if you use the app for the kernel. It works great.

The nexus 6 is made to do this. It was explained before the phones release although I forget the link I read it on.

ElementalX has color control like other kernels but no kernels have gamma control yet.
That being said. I found running the device on the cooler side ~7400K reduces the pinkish hue seen in dark rooms on lower brightness with adaptive display

True enough. Was thinking one in the same.

I would like to gauge how many people have had problems with their Nexus 6 speakers. Many have reported a crackling from either speaker at certain instances (myself included). One easy way to test this for yourself is to play the stock ringtone "Ganymede" at full volume and you should be able to tell if there are any issues. It is also evident that my top speaker crackles at various time throughout a call. Basically I'm trying to figure out if all of these devices are like this or if I'm being picky (I've already done an RMA and my replacement device has the same issue). Here is a good demonstration of what I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dcElCL9u3w
My speakers sound just fine at full volume playing Ganymede. I'm not running stock though. Rooted and running 1/20/2015 Chroma ROM, Franco #9 kernel with vomer tweaks/ quad conservative.

I seem to get some popping and crackling at full volume, depending on content. Also, the stereo balance seems off, the speaker at the top of the phone sounds louder.

I guess I've just chalked the issue up to hardware. It happens on stock for both the original and replacement device, as well as CleanROM with Franco kernel. Does Chroma have any audio changes that you know of? I'm not too familiar with Vomer tweaks either. Maybe I'll try another ROM.
Audio FX is all I know. Check out the log. Great ROM, awesome developer and a good community in the forum.
