N920C with AOK7 Firmware...
When I try to flash any recoveries using ODIN v3.10.6 either v3.10.7, It says that it passed, but when I reboot into recovery (VolUp+Home+Power) it's still Stock Recovery.
If you Odin flashed the recovery .tar, and rebooted normally, indeed there is something wrong. In a normal process, the phone won't reboot until you flash a custom kernel.
So, do the usual -- redownload the Odin .tar file, re-read the instructions, check your USB cable/port/connection.
All computers, all cables.
Also, what should I do again?

was waiting for 30 minutes the phone to boot but nothing. turned it off and tried to get into recovery but nothing.i can get into download mode but not into recovery.
tried to flash again pit and then pda with odin and all ok again. but the phone keep rebooting, what can i do guys!!!???? is there a way to flash a kernel, or cwm through odin and will it work???
edit: not able to re-partition either!!!
edit: got it fix. as i understoud is that is was flash with odin 1.7 and something was going wrong. tried 1.3 and all back to normal.
I have been trying to write firmwares from samfirmware.com onto my galaxy s, and when I write them it just flashes the boot logo, and then resets. I figured out that it isn't actually entering recovery to install the package. Is there any way to fix this? Or have I officially bricked it?
Note: I just unrooted, that's when the problems started. (stupid I know) I was running CWM Recovery, and Darky's Rom
does it enter download mode ??
if so flash a full 3 file firmware in odin with pit and repartition
EDIT: you cant flash odin files in recovery.. only in odin using download mode
Did your phone have 3BR to start with?
Yeah it enters download mode, says pass when I flash it etc, just when it reboots it doesn't write the flashed package. Do you know where I can get a 3 part package?
@geesamsungs - what do you mean...? Sorry, only very new to flashing.
i was on the Liquidsmooth rom, i wanted to go to FireKat.
i tried to go back to stock using Odin, using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development/guide-odin-to-stock-unrooted-firmware-t2957156 and in the middle of Odin doing its thing it failed.
now im stuck at "Firmware upgrade encountered an Issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
so i downloaded Kies, and my phone isnt recognized.
what can i do so that i can at least get the phone working again?
Several options - first why did you not flash over recovery?
Second boot into recovery and reset.
Third if you can't get into recovery flash a custom recovery such as twrp and flash a new rom.
Hope this helps

the instructions on the first page of the FireKat rom say to "1. Odin Flash Stock ANK4" so flashing via recovery is not a option.
i no longer have a recovery, during the Odin flash back to stock it failed and deleted my recovery. only thing i could boot into is DL mode.
i ended up having the wrong verison of Kies, had to use a older version. the phone was recognized and i "unbricked" the phone.
Meaning install a custom recovery and a different rom and you should be fine

The first step is just to make sure u r on the most current bootloader.
Can you boot the phone into download mode? If so you can flash recovery and a new ROM.

You should be using keis 3 anything else will fail. If you have download mode Odin back to stock with factory firmware. Tekhd has a step by step on how to root. Download firmware from sammobile and ur back to business. Pick your ROM careful.
BAD ASS NOTE 4 & GEAR S
Happened to me once, seems dumb enough, but change USB cable when flashing stock with odin. If you have access to download mode, you have not perma-bricked your device. Might help. Might not
So Iwas using a custom ROM on STOCK slot and was about to install a different ROM.
In TWRP, I chose advanced wipe and typed "yes"
wipe started and phone instantly rebooted............
Cannot boot into anything excepy download and stock android recovery.
I tried re-partitioning and flashing stock phone files and odin fails every time.
Phone says sw rev check fails fused1 > binary2
any suggestions?
EDIT: found an all in one odin file and it seems to be flashing fine, will update OP when finished
EDIT 2: that worked.
So I was on the road to installing the Marshmallow Dr. Ketan ROM for Jio VOLTE.
The problem occurred because I mistakenly selected something into the 'BL' section of ODIN instead of the 'AP' section.
Ever since then I haven't been able to neither boot into the phone nor get into recovery.
What should be my next step for getting the phone to work again?
All I can do is get into download mode and restart the phone. I can't seem to catch the phone in the middle of the restart to boot into recovery for some reason. I even re installed the TWRP recovery (AP in odin) it installed fine, but I just can't seem to get into recovery.
Any and all help much appreciated!
Find and download bootloader and flash it through Odin. Then reflash recovery. That should do the trick, (make sure u download the right bootloader! Or you might hardbrick you're fone!)
