The Hulu app on my HD+ running CM11 (and subsequently CM12.1) recently stopped working following an upgrade to a newer apk version. I have now been able to determine that the most recent version of the Hulu apk that would still work on CM11 is 2.19.3.202273 (downloadable from here).
Just thought I pass this info along to other Hulu users who might run into the same problem.
I have not gone back to re-flash CM12.1 on my HD+ to try this apk version on CM12.1, so it would be great if we have someone with a HD/HD+ running CM12.1 who can test it and report back here.
CM 14.1
This old post really helped me out. Installed CM 14.1 on my old Nook HD + and was hoping to now have an Android device that would let me take advantage of my Hulu Live TV account. Tried forever to get a Hulu app on my now reformatted Nook to no avail. At least with your link, I was able to get the Old Hulu + APK back and access archived content. Would love to find a way to access a newer version of the Hulu app with Live TV, but something tells me that even with my device running Nougat, it's just not going to work on the Nook HD +.

Alright Y'all, I've attempted searching for the thread for the past week. I can't find the HW accelerated flash apk anywhere. I've tried uninstalling the and reinstalling the markets flash 11. I just can't get flash to work on the nookcolor. Can anyone help me out? I'm now on nightly 211 an still have no working flash. My YouTube works though, but any web link or video in the Pulse app wont show up, or if it does it'll say no flashplayer installed. Flash 11 settings comes up w a get flash logo, and click on it and permission to access market denied?

try flash 10, works perfect on my nook cm7. Although I changed build to nexus s and got flash 10 I saw on my wifes unmodded build.prop she had 11
just tried hers and 11 is working. We are on nightly 208
BTW, you can get the Barnes & Nobile Flash 10.1 out of the stock ROM 1.3 archive in a thread in the android development forum. Just open it up in a archive problem (it's a zip file) and get the .apk out of the apps folder. You can easily install this on CM7.
Hardware acceleration is almost useless though. It is extremely picky about which videos will actually play in hardware because the Nook only plays some kinds of H.264 videos on its DSP. So there isn't a lot to gain by using an older version of Flash. Flash is just not a very efficient app and it is too much for the Nook a lot of the time.
Also, the versions prior to 10.3 don't properly let you select different video resolutions because the option box doesn't work right with a touch screen.
Ah. Thank you very much

On my KFHD 7" I've used several of the CM builds, including the latest posted on 7/13. So far NONE of these builds allow me to run HBO GO from the Google Play store. I get a force quit immediately upon launching the app. This may just be a known bug, but I haven't seen it noted in any change logs.
Interestingly enough, if I run the Kinology ROM, which is based on the stock Amazon OS, I can download the HBO GO Tablet Edition from Amazon, and THAT one works fine. I haven't found a way to grab the latest APK and install manually (since Amazon Apps now considers the Kindle an incompatible device), but I suspect if I could do that I'd be fine.
Can anyone offer advice or at least confirm that the app refuses to work?
Thank you.
I installed cm version 11-20141122 unofficial bok-hummingbird on my nook hd last week and it seems to be running pretty well overall. But I am unable to sing on the Kobo Android reader app. I have an account but I can't get to the sign on because it doesn't detect the internet connection, although wireless/internet is working fine with other apps. I though a cm upgrade might help for that issue, and I wanted to update in general if that is recommended. Can i do that from the tablet or do I have to copy a file onto the nook hd and install it, similar to how i installed this version? I couldn't see anyway to do this through the tablet settings. Finally, are there any developer options recommended to generally soup up performance? Thanks

Your on unofficial cm11. So updating won't be available in settings unless they made it available that way. (I assume that the official updates are disabled in settings or they could be flashed over the unofficial rom your on).
Unofficial roms may be downloaded the same as you did, downloaded through an app if supported, downloaded through the web browser, etc. Your choice how you do it.

Since you're running bokbokan's SD-based ROM build you'd need to look for and get the ROM update from bokbokan. When the update becomes available, just download the updated ROM zip file to your HD, then (re)-boot to CWM recovery to install the zip file.
hello, as mentioned I'm rooted on the stock OS (system version 7.4.9 user 4952320). Due to the issues with kindles and google play services that started around April or so I have play services stuck at version 7.0.97. I haven't had the need to use the tablet lately and noticed today that the youtube app will not work due to the unupdated google play services. Is there a way to use youtube again on the tablet?
On a side note, I noticed that there was an update for Kindle fire HD 7'' to version 7.5.1 ? I didn't notice until I was searching the forums due to my tablet not telling me to update.
Have you got twrp recovery installed?
I didnt need twrp, as i just wanted root on stock, but decided over the weekend its probably better to have a custom rom, so followed hascode's instructions to get CM 12.1 on it, making this question no longer necessary =P Thanks for your concern
What happens when you come to update cm 12.1?twrp recovery would allow you to flash nightly updates to CM12.1
hmm? there's no problem updating cm. I was just on stock amazon fire os, which started to have problems with google play services , thus not able to start youtube app. So i gave up on fire os, added twrp, and CM 12.1, which seems to be working fine with youtube.
Hello,
I recently updated my hulu plus and now it's not working, the app crashes when the video starts loading. As mentioned in an old thread, the latest version that works is "2.19.3.202273". Can someone with another CM version confirm if the latest hulu update is working on the nook hd? The hulu version I'm using suffers from buffering issues.
I just installed CM and the Play Store won't let me even install Hulu. It says "your device isn't compatible with this version". Same message when I try to install the Nook eReader.
Very old reply but you need to download it from an individual websites which hosts apk files. The version I listed is the latest one that worked for me.
