I just got my nexus yesterday and i'm a big fan of rooting, (came from g1 from running super d), and i really want to root my nexus but i'm afraid of anything going wrong. What im wondering is if anyone has seen any issues AFTER rooting their nexus and is it worth the root. sorry if this was already answered somewhere else.

As soon as I rooted my first Nexus One; I noticed odd hardware behaviour. The phone started to run a lot warmer than it had when stock.
From there it almost seemed as though it was eating up a lot more resources than before.
One night I woke up to a strange noise and it had grown legs and started to walk away.
Be careful as by rooting your device, you are helping speed along the evolution of smart phones.
Luckily I caught mine when it was trying to escape. I threatened to tear its legs off and it's been quite submissive ever since.

Rooting voids ur warrenty...if u just got the phone yesterday, it may be better to play with stock rom for a few days so that u can be sure u dont have any hardware faults in ur phone...
the biggest issue I had after rooting mine is deciding which are the best mods out here!!
Is there any possible way to port that BlurHome.apk in the Droid X dump to the Motorola Droid, I couldn't find it in the forums.

There is a way by most likely porting the whole build over. But I'm waiting for the droid2 to come out which is supposed to have ninjablur running on froyo. It should be a very easy port since it's basically an upgraded droid from what I've heard.
Ok, great. thanks for the reply.

so, now that the droid 2 is out, r u working on a rom?
if I may interject, that may be hard due to the locked bootloader, but stranger things have happened, though I do wonder what you find desirable in blur. Not meant to be rude, it's just that launcher pro payed has awsome homescreen widgets for social networks, and to my knowlede one of the main reasons people root is to rid their phones of forced upon software like blur. Though if it's really uninvasive, I guess I could see how that could be usefull. (oh, btw hardware changes all the time, just because its the droid 2, don't automatically think its an easy port to throw onto the D1) Did you know the Htc Incredible was originally supposed to have 8 gigs of rom, and, I believe like 2 gigs of ram, too. Though you see how that played out, slap the droid label on anything and you can sell about half the actual device to people at the same price, but I digress. Basically, if you really, really want this ported, make some developer friends online, ask nicely on the forums, or, you know, become a rom chef.
Hello all, I currently have an incredible 2 and so did my wife, but she broke hers, no insurance. This phone wasn't available yet when we got ours, I wanted it, but we both got incredible 2s instead. Can someone tell me more about this phone? Specifically the development side of it? I found one on amazon and am thinking about buying it and giving this to my wife? Is it true that there is no way to unlock the bootloader? What about flashing custom roms, kernels, new radios? My incredible 2 has seen many roms and I'm currently undervolted and overclocked and tried many different radios to find which one gives best signal here, will I be able to enjoy any of this on the Droid 3? If not is it possible in the near future? I read up some, and saw a post about how to get into recovery, but it involved having to actually be on your phone with Android OS loaded up, is there no way to get there before Android boots like on my phone? If not that scares me cause if I screw it up and can't boot how will I get into recovery to restore backup? I really want this phone, I just really like tinkering and customizing and I hope someone is kind enough to answer my questions, thanks in advance.

Hello guys.
Bought my Atrix HD around 22 days back, and i can say that i'm totally in love with the phoneBest device i have ever owned And the best screen i have ever seen on a device.. Love everything about the device.
Well, everything, except this fact. I hate how apps can't be installed in the external SD card. That REALLY annoys me. My old Motorola Defy did it and i don't really see a reason why this phone doesn't allow it :'( (I didn't know that it didn't when i bought the phone, but i would still have bought it anyways even if i knew).
So my question to you guys is that will the custom ROMs which come out for the AHD allow doing this? I am asking as i have no idea about custom roms (except the fact that i ran CM 10 on my defy).
Thanks!
Can anyone answer?

It depends on the ROM. If you're asking "is it possible", then the answer is yes. If you're asking "for certain will someone put out a ROM that has this feature", then I'm sorry, but I can't foresee the future.

It's definitely possible and one of my wanted features in a rom as well.
Thanks for answering.

So I have no idea if anyone has even thought about trying to get WP8 on the Titan yet, but I am very interested in the thought. I have no idea if the hardware would run it well or if it would be lag central. I saw that the HD2 caught a glimpse of it and figured if it could, the Titan must be able to. Anyone tried it, or have any interest in trying to do it?
