Hello,
Currently I am using a rooted Sony Xperia Z1 which is running the Sixaxis app. Everything is working fine but I want to add another bluetooth device. However, once the Sixaxis app has started a message appears; 'Bluetooth will be disabled while using Sixaxis controller'.
Is there a way to add another bluetooth device?
(I hope this topic is in the right section. If not, I am sorry)
Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow Nexus S users!
You might recognize me from the Nexus One forums. I've made this app that can be used to connect a wiimote to a phone and play games with the wiimote:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=672884
Official website: http://android.ccpcreations.com/wiicontroller
I would appreciate very much if I someone would test my app on the Nexus S to see if it works. With the wiimote preferably, but it's not neccesary.
If you don't have a wiimote, you can help too, by following this procedure, and reporting back the result:

Thanks for your help!
I don't have a wiimote to test, but I did what it shows in your website and I get the message: Found 0 wiimote(s), so I guess it should work.
i got the wiimote to connect but tried gbcoid and snesoid and couldnt get it to control them.
Hi pikipirs, I'm the guy who tested the classic controller for you. Guess what? I have a Nexus S! I just tested your app with nesoid and snesoid and it worked fine. Even the classic controller works.
Jaker, you need to enable "use input method" in snesoid under other settings and then map the keys under input settings. Also don't forget to select the wii controller IME.

hmm i did all that. maybe i missed something. i will have to try again
I have also tested the wiimote on the nexus s along with the classic controller and it worked perfect. It was one of the first things I did with my nexus s.
I tried your application with my Nexus S and it works fine. I have run into one issue though. Once I have connected the wiimote and selected it on the input method within the app it causes the stock keyboard and launcher to force close for some reason. Other than that I have had no problems with it.

Works perfectly, thanks!
Ive been able to connect a wiimote to my DX, but cannot get GBCoid to connect. Any suggestions?
Nvm, did some reading and found my answer.
When i downloaded Sixaxis compatibility app 1 time, it did work correctly, it showed my bluetooth adress, and it found my sixaxis controller.
But then, when i use Sixaxis Controller app, and click "Start" it just crashes and says that it "Stopped unexpected".. And it kept doing it, even after rebooting the phone.
But now, 1 day after, Sixaxis conpatibility app had an update, so i updated it, now the compatibility app dosen't work, same problem, when clicking "Start" It stops..
Im running CyanongenMod 7.2.0 to p990
Anyone who can help? Dos CM 7 support the app?
Contact the app developer. He should be able to help you out.

I'm on cyanogenmod and I have the exact same problem, I definitely think it has something to do with it
Same here. Nexus 5. Cyanogenmod 11 M11.
Yeah, I have the same issue
The sixaxis controller -app worked just fine before updating to newest Cyanogenmod 11 M11...
I hope a fix is available soon
Same here. I have a Oneplus one running the latest version of CM and the app was working just fine before but than I tried it yesterday and now when I hit start, the app crash...
Anyone found a fix yet?
Guess we have to wait until there is a Cyanogenmod update...
Yeah guess so...
I even reset to factory setting through recovery and installed all fresh, unlocked bootloader again and rooted my OPO. I got the app working the first time I pressed "Start", then when I tried again the crashing started. This is really annoying. Sixaxis Compatibility App works just fine and that is meant to indicate that Sixaxis Controller would work. Now it is definitely not the case and I have a useless app.
Turning of an icon pack might work
I had this problem to and I figured out that it was caused by an icon pack I had enabled switched it back to default icons and the app now works flawlessly. Maybe this is also the case for you. Try it out!
My god... You were right. Switched icon pack to default from DCikonz pack and it works!

Worked for me, too. Thanks so much. So disabling a custom icon package, will make the Sixaxis Controller app work.
Nexus 5 CM 11
a workaround I'm using is setting your icon pack with xposed gel settings, however using a different launcher or unicon might work as well
Hi this is driving me mad!! I have the official Sony charging dock and it launched tune in radio. I have checked smart connect and cannot see any links to start it why is this happening and how do I stop it. I installed invisible dock but that launches instead.

If I rrmember correctly first time I docked my phone, it asked me what app do I want to run at dock. And default app was sense me library. Dunno why you did choose tunein in the first place. There should be dock setting which you could change it I guess

I find a solution to this problem
Just set the event in Sony Smart Connect as show in attach screenshot and it will stop Tune In Radio or any other apps from launching automatic when connected to the charging dock.
I have this same problem too. It launches 500PX. I have no Tunein radio installed in my phone.
Mine launches Tune In also. I never selected it in the dock menu but it starts up every time.
It seems to be a problem with the way Android handles the startup of dock apps according to TuneIn...see this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208666
Had the same problem.
Emailed TuneIn and this is their reply.
Ended up just uninstalling the app.
Was giving me wake/sleep problems when I charged my phone...
Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. One of the features of the Android OS is that an application can be automatically started as soon as the device is plugged into a dock. If you have multiple applications that support this feature, you will be given an option to select which one you'd like to always start. If you only have one application (e.g. TuneIn) that supports this feature, it will automatically start when you connect to the dock.
We at TuneIn cannot allow control over this feature once we've enabled it's use. Other listeners have informed us that there are 3rd party applications available for Android devices that allow you to have finer control over this feature of the Android OS.
Sincerely,
Michelle

"Dock No Op" from Play Store works for me.
Also tried "Invisible Dock" but it gives me a splash screen which I don't like.
Sorry newbie, can't post links..
You can disable this by going to the smart connect menu and rechoosing what you want at startup when you dock your phone... Or simply have it do nothing. Good luck!

Hi Guys,
I've been an android user for a long time now and had many handsets, however using the Xperia Z i've found that installing apps from https://play.google.com doesn't seem to work.
It's worked fine with all of my previous phones. Does anyone have any idea why it doesn't work with the Z?
It is available in the list of devices.
Thanks
Paul
hello
i was wondering if there is a bluetooth tethering app for the phone and the gear that work together so that the gear can actually connect to the internet?
like the tablet talk, which u can install a keyboard like fleksy and send messages directly from gear...
(am asking because i do not want to install custom rom)
i have tried the easy tether pro app, however, when i launch the app (for tablet) from the gear, and then i choose my phone from the selection, i get a black screen and after a while it force close. maybe another app may have better luck?
also i just tried pdanet and still as soon as i connect with bluetooth tethering, the app close....
edit: i gave up and rooted, and installed null. however the playstore app keep crashing....
