Big trouble upgrading from 1.22 to 1.4

Hey gus,
New to this forum. I was trying to upgrade my ba from 1.22 to 1.4 and somehow I think I got stuck in the bootloader screen. I downloaded the rom directly from clubimate. My problem is when I run the rom it gets stuck when it tries to upgrade the radio. Now my phone is totally non working, it starts once in a while but only to the bootloader screen.
Any advice would be great.

Thank you for responces, but they did not work.
OK, I downloaded the dutch 1.42 rom version. I also downloaded the country code error program. I ran it and I got the same exact thing as I did with the 1.4 rom directly from imate. The problem is: when the rom program is about to update the radio it freezes and returns an error 114 something like radio update error. I don't know what to do, and of course my phone is not usable.
Please if you have any advice tell me.

Hey guys,
I finally fixed it. I read somewhere that if you delete the radio.nbf and the ms.nbf files and then try to update it will work. So I did, and now my phone is working again.

Error while using unlocker tool

I seem to be having a weird error when I try to unlock the ext rom or unhide it. I can see the folder in my programs folder, but when I click on unhide, nothing happens and when I click on unlock I get a debug error which says "FL_IOCTL_BDTL_HW_PROTECTION - The parameter is incorrect" . I dont know why it keeps doing it. I have tried to upgrade to the latest rom version but after getting in the bootloader mode, in the utility screen it does not show me the new version of the rom, the only thing it shows me is that my device will be upgraded to 5.3.2, which is what i currently have.
Any idea why its doing what its doing?????

If I remember correctly, Extended ROM unlocker is not working under WM5.

Not able to upgrade to 5.1.1700
As you say aybe the unlocker does not work with WM5, so I downgraded to the original factory version of 1.42. At this point the unlocker worked fine. So I tried to upgrade it to the latest version of 5.1.1700, but as soon as the utility screen comes up, it shows me that my rom will be upgraded to 5.03.02 which is what i have had all this while. So I upgraded it back to the same version and just upgraded to the latest radio version. When I try to use the unlocker again in this 5.03.02 version I still get that same error.
Can anyone please help me to upgrade to the latest rom version 5.1.1700 and tell me what this error means.

I think we have a slight misunderstanding here. 5.03.02 and 5.1.1700, here are exactly the same. 5.03.02 is the ROM version, while 5.1.1700 is the OS version of the ROM. So 5.03.02 IS 5.1.1700 actually.

So, one prob solved, how about this one....
First of all, thank you KTamas for helping me out on this one and clearing out this problem of Rom versions.
I have another question though, what is this wizard rom? and how different is it from the one that I just installed? I was trying to install the wizard rom before I installed the one that I have right now, but got stuck in the middle when I had to create the EXTROM folder and transfer the contents after editing the edit.bat file. I was not able to transfer the getdeviceid.txt file from my phone to my pc for some odd reason and so was not able to do much on that.
Can you please help me?

Wrong device upgrade, none of Wm5 is working

Don't know where is the problem. I have Helmis 1.4 3.5AKU... I have thryed both new WM-s and On both I get the same problem. So if anyone knows help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I got the same error message. I tried to change operater, but that didn't do the trick, so I'm still on the case
Edit: I'm normaly using Windows Vista, but I still have my XP installation, so I tried to boot in XP an run the upgrade from there. This worked fine, so mayby it's a problem with Vista althroug it should work. So my best advice is to try reboot you system, i know it's not alot of people who runs dual boot systems as standart

What WM do you have? Shoud I try to Revert back to Wm2003 and try like that?

I upgraded from Helmi's Aku 3.2 to Xplore's 3.5 R4. If you have the posibility, try to connect your BA to anothor PC and run the update from there, I think it's a problem caused by Windows on the specific pc.

New EU ROM in HTC Site during some minutes.

5 minutes ago I ve checked the HTC site and there was a new ROM for TP2 available for EU. After enter the Serial Name the brower tried to download the file ruu_rhodium_htc_spa_1.19.412.2_radio_rhodium_3.44.25.27_signed_ship.exe. The update was available for several languages. But there was an error page ("The file is being used for other process") and now the update isnt present in the web. I hope they upload it again....so F5 F5 F5

The download is functional but appear only if you select another category first.
Exemple : Go to htc.com / Select Country Europe Home / Support / Touch Pro2 and Category Hotfix. Now one more time click in the category list and ROM appears.
For German ROM, a SN like ht95yllxxxxx (example : ht95yll01717) is accepted.
For French, ht96dllxxxxx
For WWE, ht968llxxxxx

I hope the radio update is contained, because it cannot be installed seperately.
Just updated my phone, now playing back the backup and then I will see if something has changed.

You're right -the Radio isn't included but the update doesn't work for me.
Hmm...they put a Demo version of Copilot into the ROM -I hate such things. It just needs memory but I can't get rid of it

It says that it's available for WWE EU Rom version 1.19.401.1 but mine's listed as 1.19.401.0 so is this not going to install?
Also, from reading the rest of the blurb, it seems that you have to reinstall the hotfix after the rom upgrade to upgrade the radio again.

I am downloading right now. It seems It contains the same radio rom. I dont really know if it worth to reinstall everything because the 2 fixes are very small. Does anybody know if at least the WinMob version changed? Current one is 5.2.2.21048.
ps: I wouldnt restore a backup after a rom upgrade because I will override any registry change. I know some programs say they "supports restore after rom upgrade" buy my experiences are very bad and finally had to hard reset....

I am confused
The update says - Rhodium_Radio_3.46.25.30
I made an update and - the radio is still 3.44.25.27
(ROM 1.19.401.0)
So, what is the number in the update about? Does the update make the radio better? If so, I will test it a report soon (GPS at least)
/EDIT - after installing the update I had to do HR - touchflo stopped working.
//EDIT - Before making HR I unplugged the Rhodinum from PC and made few SR. And touchflo works.

Did someone tried to applied the new Radio ROM AFTER flashing the new ROM? Maybe it works

Nope, Radio hotfix still doesn't work for me. Same error.

Anyone knows what exactly has been fixed?
The 2 issues mentioned when downloading the file doesn't tell us much.
Anything else fixed besides Yahoo image (woehoe! ) and total available memory?

I don't think they will make a 145 mb rom just for those changes?

Problem upgrading / downgrading HTC Dream

Hello,
I own a HTC Dream, Orange branded (I guess is Orange France).
It has Firmware version: 1.1 and Build number: 1.56.73.2 PLAT-1.0_gms-135348 CL#11526 release-keys.
My problem is that I can't update this over-the-air, as I use this in another country - and don't know if I can update this over wifi/3g.
So, I've tried to update this to 1.5 / 1.6 official, but it didn't work with the original img files from HTC's site. I've also tried to root/downgrade to RC7/... but failed due the fact that the signature wasn't good... and then use the goldcard method and hxd editor but now it says "main version is older" when trying to downgrade.
So I need to know how do I suppose to upgrade this to 1.5/1.6? It's a shame that I'm stuck on 1.1 and can't move to the latest official flavour or to modded roms.

Damn bro sounds like u had a ruff time with the g1 man lol i got you tho. uhm im gonna set you wit cyanogen latest and from there you can flash any rom you like. but my main thing is to get you to 1.6 or 2.1 which ever you prefer. ( i think 2.1 smashes 1.6 personally )
ok download this rc7 file here ( download and extract the dreaimg.zip then copy the dreaimh.nbh file to your desktop somewhere )

Hello, and thank you for your post... but -
I already tried downgrading this using both images US/EU and from multiple sources (from Cyn wiki, and a lot of other blogs) .
This is now working for me. It now states "Main version is older". Before I modified the hxd and the goldcard of the SDcard, I couldn't pass the Checking checksumms. It now pass that step, but I get stuck on "Main version is older"
Anyone has a better idea?
