I've been trying to install Viper on Marshmallow and keep getting installation errors since it is not enforcing. Can someone point me to the plaza where I can get accurate simple installation instructions for Android 6.0.1? Thanks so much.

i install it by flashing it in twrp recovery, never had a problem installing it. you can also unzip the app and place it unto /system/priv-app/ and then reboot.

Where are you getting the zip from? I googled viper4android nexus 6 and found this website: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/viper4android-t2952137
However, I followed the details exactly and it is not working. The driver status says abnormal.

I copied it into /system/priv-app no go. Same thing

odd. works fine here. works fine for everyone i know that uses it. thats where i got it from as well.
You will need something to switch it to either enforcing or permissive. Which ever one it calls for. Not all roms are set the same. Never found a use for it myself but there is a thread in the apps and themes section.

Some say it makes it less secure but to be honest the rom I run has it set to permissive so that the built in theme engine works and I have never had an issue. Mind you I dont do alot with my device really. Just the normal. Calls, SMS and work stuff. The rest of the time is sits in my pocket.

Neither. It has to be built into the rom.

Can anyone having both confirm the difference in quality and battery drain?

Have u tried V4A in the past? If not please try.
U will notice difference when u use V4A with Expert Ui mode setting. Battery drain, i dont worry.
I've tried it on Candy5 ROM as well as daleski's nightlies, but it doesn't seem to work. I look at the driver status and it says it isn't active. Also, every time I open the app, it asks me to install/update the drivers when I clearly did already.

What is the best setting for the oneplus one? At times I feel the speaker/headset and bluetooth volume is too low. Thanks for the help.
There is a nexus 6 thread about a zip you can flash. Might be easier if it works.
Damn, changing to permissive and still won't install drivers. Anything else that needs to be done (I disabled nuplayer already). Thanks.
You need to make sure all other FX audio mods are disabled. Next use Power Amp enable FX in music settings and make sure you disable tone and equalizer. Remember you also need busy box installed. As far as in Viper you are flashing and do not have any other version installed. Lastly some ROMS already have SE Linux set to permissive, and in Viper options try compatible mode.

I'm guessing its bcoz of previous flashed mods. If nothing works, try to switch to compatible mode in V4A setting.

Just follow 5 simple steps.( no zips required to flash).
1. Change Enforce mode to permissive mode using SeLinuxmodechanger from playstore .
2.Disable experimental "nu player" from development section search "nu" you will get disable it.
3. Disable Audiofx app.
4. Now install viper4Android and install driver ( i user superior audio ) .
5. Reboot.( and experience the amazing sound).

Not working for me. Anyone get it to work on the N6?
Nobody with an N6 has reported it working so far in the Xposed thread. Kinda frustrating that the most important Android phone out is the only one that can't seem to get it going.
Rovo89 says, Note that this is still an alpha version and for Lollipop on ARMv7+ devices only. Please install it only if you're willing to take the risk of boot loops. Just because it's working fine and stable for me doesn't mean it will work for everyone the same way.

See thread in n6 general. Yea you have to soft reboot to have xposed run after you are in permissive mode for selinux. Its the only way right now. If you full reboot, xposed runs before selinux is permissive
Would love to have it was excited now disappointed. Owell guess I'll wait it out along with everyone else

What modules are actually working on our gadget please?
I got RootCloak working. To verify this I opened Soft Card before Xposed was installed and it detected root. After Xposed was installed, I then installed RootCloak, checked the box in modules, added Soft Card in the app. Then I went back to Xposed and did a soft reboot. Then I rechecked Soft Card and it worked!

It works, but I did not get the results I wanted. It may be the way lollipop handles things, but i tried to get the tablet style settings by picking a high resolution and it worked but was all crammed in the middle. So...the xposed module works, but lollipop may give you some trouble.
Couldn't find anything on this, but apparently people are having success installing xposed framework on the nexus 6 without having to soft boot every time to get the modules to work.
If anyone has had any success with this, could you please provide the process how to.
Thanks

I usually prefer Franco but it seems in his quest for insane battery life he has somehow sacrificed performance on this phone as the UI is a little more stuttery. Does have better battery though. Also with that flashable zip above, I tried it, but the hack never seemed to launch in time for xposed to see it and I would have to soft reboot anyway. The lean kernel method works great and its an awesome kernel.
There's elementalx kernel too, which is great. There's a whole thread in N6 general about what you can try.

2 things.
1. This is an old thread and was due to the requirement for SELlinux permissive on an old alpha of xposed
2. Nexus 6 does not have an sd card slot, ergo, the ONLY place for apps is "phone" anyway
Why call this rom the PlayStore Rom? Because this rom features absolutely nothing, thats the beauty of it! If you want something your going to have to get it from the PlayStore. You can customize it any way you want. The rom boots and you can make a phone call and get on the playstore thats about it. So have fun!

Google Dialer and Google Contacts
S7 Camera
Google Launcher
Samsung Gallery Left so Lockscreen Wallpaper can be changed
Google Now
Google Maps
Verizon Visual Voicemail

You must decide if you want to use Google IncallUI or Samsung InCallUI. Samsung InCallUI will allow too still receive and switch to video calls and the google IncallUI will only support HD calling. To switch to google IncallUI goto settings/applications click on default applications choose calling app and click on the blue phone app. To switch back to samsung IncallUI is a little more complicated. You will need an app like root explorer and goto data/system/users/0 and then findthe setting_secure.xml and delete and then restart phone. This will restore samsung IncallUI as default
You will also want to turn edge features off since everthing is deleted
Also you need to goto SuperSU app and goto settings and click on enable su during boot and also click trust system users
Goto this thread and under Recommended Next Steps find the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip or latest version and flash to fix kernel lage and doze fix.
Goto setting/about phone
Click on build number 5 times to enable developer options
Change animation and duration scales to .05 this will speed up phone
You will also have to change charging/file mode from within developer options
Remember Wiping Dalvik cache will cause phone to take up to 10 min to boot on deodexed roms
If using samsung IncallUI here is a fix for call phone FC and also location service fix

I didnt mean for my reply to come across rude. I just thought since the OP looks like the other one you thought it was the same. This is basically nothing but a bootable rom with like 5 apps installed thats it there are over 180 running apps removed. I kind of thought it would be cool to be able to build your rom how ever you want it without having to worry about what you can delete and what you cannot. I appreciate the support especially on new development. Understand I have many threads and and other devices so i sometimes keep my answers short and direct especially when using the mobile app which I hate using.

Ok, that is what I thought. I just was trying to determine if there was anything else major missing from that other ROM, knowing some apps would have to be pulled or installed, hence your "Playstore" moniker for this ROM. Ok, this is a good clean base ROM for those who like to order "a la carte" down the road when the need for other features are required. I may give it a spin for the fun of it.
Cool! We are good.

I actually found one of the battery saver apps to be causing the issue. I think it was amplify through xposed, it caused the mobile data to turn off when connected to wifi. So, i turned it off and haven't had an issue since.
Hi There Everyone!First a brief: I've been a longtime XDA user, but never found the need to create an account. Now, I bought a Redmi 6 and I'm really disappointed by the development:crying:, so I thought i'd chip in a bit I don't have permission yet, so I posted this here.
As you know, till now there are NO Custom ROM's available. This is really sad, and I can't live with MIUI. So I decided to give GSI (Generic System Image) ROM's a try.
And guess what? They work! I tried installing Lineage OS 15.1 on our cereus. The rom is really fast and smooth. Here's what I found:
Working:
Wifi
Bt
Camera
Vibration
Sound
Finger Print
Bugs:
SIM detected, but no range found. RIP calls/sms/data. Looks like a problem with the raido's.
Headphones don't work
I couldn't test hotspot and gps.
Even though there is a bad bug, it still works surprisingly on this MediaTek SoC with no drivers / kernels. All we need is a little paching and we should be good to go!
Give it a try. Ill post guide on how to do this later. For now, i'm using miui cuz i wanna make phone calls

I know, and I've read through all that. They are all buried inside TWRP threads, and not everyone knows about GSI. All i tried was LOS and Pixel Eperience. Both are same, except PE has Android 9.0. I tried treble RR, it had really cool logo while booting, and i was really excited for RR because i never tried it. But i never made it to boot. Boot logo is looping infinitely and i tried fresh installing (With MiFlash clear) about 10 times.

Ahh, you mean how to append?
Open /system/build.prop file with text editor that has root access, add line to end, save file, reboot.
Or you can do this via adb/terminal emulator:
1) su
2) echo persist.sys.radio.ussd.fix=true >> /system/build.prop
