Hi to all Devs here.. I just am planning to update to Muniz ri's OF3 Lollipop from NG3 Kitkat.
I have all the files needed from Muniz ri's post. Am just worried if it will work like my NG3 Kitkat version.
I would like to ask if Xposed Framework is working on OF3?..
Will OBB on SD work on Lollipop? If not, is there any other option for me to do this?
My phone's storage is only 16GB and i have a 64GB MicroSD.. I put all my OBB and Data on SD Card..
Is DVFS still working on Lollipop? If yes, is there a way to disable it?..
I'm a Gamer and i would not want lag whie playing games.
Will I have problems having full access to The SDCard?.. On KitKat i used KitKat SD Card Full Access module
to overcome this problem..
Hope someone helps and answers my questions...
Thank You...

Hi All!
Today i bought an XPERIA SP after a long research about specs and Features. However, Turned out that the APPs are not Moveable to SD Card.
I have a 32 GB card Installed which i believe is Useless if you cannot use them for the Applications, Rather than having to stuff it all in Internal Memory and choke its speed down.
I wanted to know if there is a way to Install the Apps to SD Card. [Mostly large Games].
What is the easiest Possible way to achieve it?
Note: I know that there is a way by rooting it but i am trying to avoid it.
But if Rooting is the Only way i have, I need to know, Should i root it to the Latest version or the Current Build Version? (Noob at Rooting, Never Rooted any device before).
Or should i Update the Build Via Sony PC Companion to the Latest version then ROOT it?
Android Version: 4.1.2.
Build Version: 12.0.A.2.254.
Thanks!

Without root you can't put your data on the SD card. You can check out the android development section for rooting tutorials

If you want to root your phone don't update, because to root our phone (at the time) its only possible in 4.1 version, so if you update to 4.3 you would have to downgrade to root it and that can be a bit confusing.
About moving apps to SD card its not possible, if you root the phone and use a third party app to do so it wont work because the phone don't allow unfortunately... I recently install the cyanogen mod 11 kitkat to see if was a rom problem but it isnt the phone dont allow it.
If theres a way to move apps to sd i would like to now, but apps like move2SD... wont work
ps. sorry for my english

Will this Do?

You can use foldermount, but this app needs root. So without root you cant move apps or data from (big) apps to the SD-card. But with root foldermount works pretty good.

That will do (; and after you rooted and reflashed kernel, see if the phone charges when plugged without booting. I used my own firmware kernel for this and I didn't get the offline charging bug, but some others unfortunately did. Happy rooting

Okay, so after soak test version of lollipop rolled out, we have seen lots of Moto Es being hard bricked by people including me while they tried to downgrade back to KitKat. So, this question is for all those people who did that; I am asking this out of curiosity: Why did you downgrade from lollipop to Kitkat in the first place? What was your reason?
I tried to downgrade because Link2SD was not working on lollipop in the way it is supposed to work (mount scripts not working at all, hence 2nd partition not getting mounted automatically at boot thus loosing all apps linked to SD card after rebooting). This "linking" thing was the primary reason I decided to root my phone. I wanted loads of apps on my phone which is impossible to have without Link2SD or similar apps like Mount2SD (which don't work either because Moto E's lollipop simply wouldn't run any init.d scripts during boot thus breaking all such applications). I don't plan to upgrade to lollipop unless this problem is solved because Moto E is nothing without Link2SD with its mere 2.1 GB of internal free space it offers. It vanishes within a blink of an eye. I had 250+ apps on Moto E running smoothly on Kitkat 4.4.4 before it died.
I have several problems. I am still on the stock ROM. I updated with Kies to Android 5.0. I then rooted the phone. I have not flashed a custom ROM yet. I have tried to remove system apps with my old favorite root app removers and they simply don't work. They say successful but the apps come right back. I have backed up my phone with the standard recovery apps, TWRP, Philz touch and ROM Manager. I carefully chose backup to the SD card but all of them also save the backup to the phone memory also. Those backups eat the phone memory and I cannot remove them. Removal fails. Files are write protected. I was able to remove the backups by using the factory reset. That is a real pain. I'm now afraid to use any recovery now. With only 16 GB of memory, I choose to use the SD card. Is Android 5.0 causing these problems? Am I stuck with the stock Android 5.0? Kies warned me that I can't go backwards. I had none of these problems with the Samsung S3 and S4 with custom ROMs. I might add that I used a no bloat program with the S5 and Android 5.0. It bricked my phone. It was quite difficult to get it working again with the stock Android ROM. I wish I not bought the S5 or updated to Android 5.0.

Hello everyone
I have now finally been able to root my beautiful Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. The bootloader is still locked. I did downgrade the Firmware in order to root the phone. Afterwards I made a backup of the DRM Keys via TA Backup. Additionally I updated the Firmware to 23.0.1.A.5.77. As the bootloader is still locked I did not install any kind of custom ROM and I am yet not planning to do so. The Sony ROM will probably do a good job. (My old phone is a Sony Xperia P which is now running with Root Sony's ROM since 3 years at least)
I am running on KitKat 4.4 and also not planning to change. I have a 64GB SD card in my phone as well.
Now my question:
Can I still use the encryption function or will this interfere or make problems because I have root (Bootloop)?
I am not planning to encrypt the SD card because I do not need encryption on the SD card but encryption for the Android System would be nice.
Thanks for your help guys :good:
Best wishes,
Dicey
No idea guys? Did no one ever try this before?

I'd like to know this as well.
I tried this today. Left it encrypting and when I came back it said encryption had been interrupted and it then did a factory reset, after which I was unable to enter custom recovery.. As I had chosen to encrypt the SD I was left with an empty SD card too.
Somehow I kept root so I was able to install XZDualRecovery again and then restore from nandroid backup.
There's a thread on androidforums where Samsung owners have reported success with temporarily disabling SuperSU while running the encryption.

Anyone tried this method or found another way to achieve root + encryption? It's the only thing keeping me from rooting again.
I have a 5.0.1 that I did the steps to gain root access, (adb, bootloader, twrp) It's working fine but I want to try either slim or cm. I'm also out of space with and can't even update the few apps I do have such as "root checker". Here are my questions:
1. Is there a reliable upgrade path from 5.01 rooted to 5.1.1 without losing root?
2. Is the fact that my space is so limited going to be a problem for any upgrade path to 5.1.1?
3. I've loaded link2sd and moved what I could, but I haven't created a 2nd partition so it's not as useful yet. Is there a way to create a second partition without losing the partition and the data that is on the sd card already?
4. Is there any advantage to being on 5.1.1 over 5.0.1?
5. Is there a way to try out slim and cm both? (load one, load the other, back to fire etc..)
Thanks in advance for any advice or direction
1: Look for "[HOWTO] Install FireOS 5.1.1, ROOT, GAPPS and keep TWRP access"
2:
3:
4: Not that I can tell. Both can be rooted now and custom ROMs installed. The only difference I know of is, no TRWP for 5.1.1
5: If you are wondering if multiple images for boot up can be listed and select one, no. You have to flash one at a time.
This link has all the info you need, just in case you have not seen it...
