OEM Recovery for T817? - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anybody have the oem recovery for the tmobile t817? I rooted but need to get back to stoc. Backed up everything else. If there is a better way let me know.

Maybe i should ask a different question, how do you return to stock after rooting?

You need to state which t817 you have?

It would be just like the S4 I'd assume when you try to flash a non AT&T FW. It won't boot and it will give that error.

[Q] Software status: Modified

Hi guys
I unlocked bootloader and rooted the system. On bootloader screen, it says Software status: Modified. But after flashing stock rom, it remains Modified. Any chance restore it to Official?
No

Everything has to be official. That's system, recovery, boot, etc. Mine says modified but when I go back to completely stock it says official again.

Thanks for your reply!
It's really weird. I just extract the zip file, and flash it with rsdlite without any modification.
I may try it sometime later.

I have never used rsdlite so I don't know how that works. I always use fastboot to flash. How did you root? Did you use cf-autoroot?

So i guess this "Modified" will be permanent cuz stock rom can't even change it?
Correct, that is my understanding. Moto does that so you can't mess with your phone and then do a warranty claim. In the US, the pure edition is the exception from the warranty rule, but you still can't revert the modified flag.

Re-Lock Stock Bootloader on Sprint Oreo?

I've been trying to figure out if it's possible to Re-Lock the Bootloader on a stock rom and bootloader for a sprint unlocked phone running Android 8. I couldn't find anything in the forums. Anyone have an idea?

If you can get a hold of your v40's stock KDZ and do a refurbish flash of that KDZ in LGUP with the correct DLL's applied to LGUP's common folder so it reads your phone as connected it should wipe any modifications and reflash the stock locked bootloader. But of course will also wipe ur rom and user data. The guides on how to do this are here in the forum.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I think that's where I'm at, I'm unable to find a KDZ for sprint.

Mainly because Sprint hasn't leaked any of their KDZ...

Reverto to stock after root and custom Rom

Hi all. I would like to revert the phone to stock after root and custom rom. Ther's a guide? I can't find anything on the forum. Thanks at all.
I think you just flash the stock firmware over what you have.

Thank's! So, no warry bout unlocked bootloader?
You might want to relock it first, but I don't think it matters. I am not sure though. Just basing this off my time with the S3 and S4 back in the day. With those phones it didn't matter. The S10 line are newer so it might with them.

I presume you want the boot screens to revert to normal without the Bootloader Unlocked warning screen.
If so, see my post HERE

I am on lineage os (Ivan_Meler) not rooted
under the developer there is no OEM option showing. My bootloader is unlocked, recovery is TWRP.
how can i goo back to stock ?
Just to be sure: Before I flash a custom firmware on a S10(+,e) like lineage, there is nothing to back up like DRM keys or certificates? (I had SONY phones before. If you reverted to stock on those some SONY apps would not work anymore if you did not backup the DRM keys).
Hello guys,
Similar question what is the procedure when I want S10e with flashed custom rom (TWRP Recovery), rooted and unlocked bootloader to return to stock firmware?

back to stock pie with or without root?

I"m trying to figure out the best way to get back to stock pie or later with or without bl unlocked and root. lm-405uA on havoc. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well the obvious answer would be to flash a stock KDZ with lgup. The only one you wouldn't want to flash is t-mobile. Is there some reason you can't do that?
