I have seen reports of people running CM11 on their Captivates and having xPosed enabled.

I have used Xposed on other devices, but never on this one. It will take a bit of searching and reading. I am willing to help with this but I will need more information.
What version of bootloader is installed on your Captivate?
Is your Captivate rooted?
What rom is installed on your Captivate?
If the ROM is not a stock ROM, is it based on Touchwiz, CM, AOSP, or what?

So far I have found that you must be on at least an ICS Rom. You said you were on KitKat, so no worries there. But, the ROM must be Halo enabled. I see that Dirty Unicorns and CM do, I don't know which others do.

Well, when I did superuser on Android 2.3.5, will install the "Corn kernel" and that it will install CM11 The boot loader will not touch anything, I think. The terminal has superuser, I will install Cyanogenmod 11 (Nigthy 13/12/2015) and one that you have installed, nothing more.

[Q] Stable Roms for GS3 LTE?

Hi,
I've looked through the forums but can't seem to find any ROMs that are stable for use on the phone for daily use. Most of the ROMs in the Android Development section are nightlies and if it doesn't state that it is a Nightly in the title you can only tell that it is a Nightly Rom by actually looking at the thread. Can anyone suggest to me stable ROMs that I could use? And does anyone know if rooting the phone wipes it? Because rooting threads make no mention of this and I'm not sure if this particular type of model gets wiped when it is rooted.
Thanks

I can suggest you this rom

Rooting does not necessarily wipe your rom. Root it using this guide. (I did not used any recovery mentioned in the post. Because earlier i had problems with Philz recovery. This time I just rooted it)

I have a GT-I9305 device which was originally on android 4.1.
I upgraded it to 4.3 via OTA and experienced drastic battery draining.
Yesterday I flashed 4.4.4 STOCK-Official rom using Odin v3.07 and its working PERFECT.
Then I rooted it SUCCESSFULLY using this file CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305.tar.md5. At first the SupersSU (v 2.01) was not working but it was fixed after I installed SuperSU version 2.02
So far so good :good: :good:

You should have installed this using custom Recovery.
Just flash this

it should give you KK back that too with root.
see this is why I suggest people not to rush for lollipop, it's full of bugs at this moment. that's why it's not coming to Android One devices.

Dude... I've seen you on many posts telling people not to root or unlock bootloader... or not to flash stuff etc etc... Why would you come to xda if you dont want any of that? use your phone normally and wait for OTAs if you are so scared... yes flashing things like a moron will lead to soft bricks and bootloops. but those are basics of debugging any device... if one doesnt know how to recover from a soft brick then he/she shouldn't flash things to their device. Yes nowadays playing (and messing) with our devices is really easy, so noobs tend to make mistakes... I have too in the past. But if you stay scared then you dont belong on XDA

As for your problem, if you have root on 5.1 right now... go to playstore and download TWRP manager... (this is because TWRP is more stable, and supports all ROMs from 4.4.4 to 5.1, unlike philz touch or CWM) otherwise you can manually download the .img file and flash it via cmd prompt on PC. (If you dont know how to do that just let me know... I'll guide you through the process)
then download the flashable zip of your choice (I suggest official CyanogenMod11 ... I use it as my daily driver and confirm that it is stable with everything working)
Here is the link
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=sprout
additionally you need to download GAPPS from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Copy the two downloaded files to your external sd card (remember the path)
then boot into recovery and flash (install) them... then reboot to system and voila!! you are back on 4.4.4 !!
PS. I advise against going back to stock 4.4.4 because there are some added precautions you must take, otherwise you risk losing your imei , and wont be able to make calls/sms/mobile internet. Switching to CM is much safer and easier... plus gauranteed official (and faster than google) updates thanks to our beloved dev Varun Chitre

Well yes.... Even when DEVs put huge warnings and disclaimers on their stuff, people just tend to ignore them. My post's intention was not to take a dig at you. I saw a couple of your posts on other threads, which I felt were a tad bit negative regarding modding our devices

Download the factory image of 4.4.4 and place it in ADB folder ( if u have not setup adb, search in Google ), now take a backup of your current os via recovery ( just in case ), next wipe cache partition, factory reset. Now connect to PC, flash the factory image through ADB. [emoji2]

Easiest way to downgrade is to flash cwm backup of kitkat stock rom via custom recovery. If you had made clockworkmod backup of your rom before upgrading then just restore it from recovery after wiping data, system, boot and cache partition, there is no need for pc and Sp flash tool. If you have no backup then try to look for it on xda,and flash, it works without any issue.

No. CyanogenMod is a different organisation altogether. They have those Jenkins(server) which builds for officially supported devices daily and uploads them (which will be downloaded later by the users as OTA)

Well... Google doesn't make cyanogenmod ... And official support for CM11 is dropped.... Use CM12, or the last CM11 NIGHTLY... Or choose an AOSP based Rom

is this working for galaxy e5 sm-e500h????
Nope, this is only for Android One devices.

After flashing CM 12.1 with TWRP recovery, it gave me an error.

So.... 2 months ago I tried to flash CM 12.1 on my phone (S III mini). I looked in the tutorial and do the same things, but when i flashed CM 12.1 ( not Gapps ), it gives me an error. I was really scared and then I tried to reboot my device, but it said "No OS installed." So then I realised I deleted my OS. But I went to samsung service and they fixed my phone ( maybe they flashed original android). Please help me!!! I want to try to install second time CM on my phone, but i'm really scared. I dont know what it can cause that error and how to prevent that error in the future. ( i had root on my device)

Well, i think that this should be more appropriate on my thread which i explain also how to install gapps, but anyway.
At any given time, you can flash ONLY the same gapps with your rom's android version. I think this has something to do with ART.

It means that I have to choose appropriate Gapps based on the Android version of custom ROM.
If it's cm12.1 , I have to flash Gapps L 5.1.x.
Okay, anyway I have to update the App after installation. Then why not to flash the updated Gapps for any custom version?
I'm New to this world of custom, so only much confusions and questions.
Thanks

Again jdc aosp is far the most stable ROM ( marshmallow ROM ). Guys before to ask to build what we already have it's better to give a shot and flash the various ROM devs are developing for us!

It is totally irellevant which rom you use, first you need to fully unroot the rom, that of course... but you also need to use a custom kernel with SultanXDA commit for the bootloader check. Safetynet now also needs a locked bootloader or a pached kernel

I have been running Xposed on my Cyanogen phone for a long time now and nothing bad happens. Cyanogen just doesn't support you if you have Xposed on there so if you have any problems they won't help you.
For you bigger problem is what phone you have, not the system you run
Most of rooted phones who wants to use CM have cm or cm based roms, so if there will be a big problem with xposed you will know that. Only problem is lack of support form ROM developer if you use xposed. OFC some phones/ CM modifications can cause problems with xposed ut there are less .

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3. Will this phone be okay with Xposed?
Just to let you all know that Xposed works well in Cyanogenmod as long as you follow the instructions specific to your device when it comes to installing the Framework and installer app. It's not magic nor does all the modules work for all the devices. As for anything you install for the first time as a noob to XPosed... "do your homework" and "understand what it is your installing first". If your tech savvy, try it out and if needed, ask questions. Then you should do just fine.

I too have a Galaxy S3 and I have Cyanogenmod and XPosed installed.

I'm running the build of CyanogenMod for the 6P from November 6th with Xposed and it's working fine.
I'm holding off upgrading until 7.1.1 gets Xposed writing and the 6P's battery's issue shutdown is figured out.
Running both CM13 and Xposed on my Galaxy Note 10.1, no issues detected.

To be more accurate. The Software (aka Rom) and sometimes Android Version is important to kno when running Xposed. Many custom Roms and Xposed Modules clean clash or not be compatible. Some Modules are generic in design and pretty much work on every Rom across the board like YouTube AdAway because it's App Based. But then their some that are Rom based like xMiui that's specifically for Miui V8 or xTouchWiz for Touchwiz on Marshmallow. Both of which won't work on our do anything on CyanogenMod. Then their are many like GravityBox* that put a disclaimer on using it with Roms outside of AOSP or Google Stock, yet it works fine on CM in my experience.
Just read each module clearly before activation. No need to be discouraged and Xposed have 2 methods of failsafe if something goes wrong. It can be disabled in the recovery by flashing the uninstaller or during the boot screen by pressing the volume buttons 5 times.
Personal favorites nearly all us experienced would use on CM is GravityBox*, YouTube AdAway & Greenify.
*GravityBox is by far the arguable best module. It's a like a swiss army knife but this also means it can clash with none stock (including heavier custom) roms. Simply because these Roms often have the features it adds already baked in.
