I have my phone plugged in and USB debugging selected but can't seem to get the Android Debug Bridge(adb) to see the device. Same thing when I boot into fastboot and run the command in terminal to check connected devices but it returns blank.
Any help and guidance would be much appreciated.

Do you have USB driver for nexus one installed in your PC? It sounds like you don't have the driver installed.

Im using a macintosh computer and from what I've read, I don't think you need to install extra drivers.
So I am trying to unlock this Captivate and I Enabled the USB Debugging option when it's plugged into the computer. Problem is, when I actually connect it to the computer, the device doesn't go into USB debugging mode. Any help on this would be appreciated!

I had this problem few times. I had to pull the battery out and restart the phone. Doesn't hurt in trying this.
has anyone came up with a solution?
Hello, my friend has got a problem with USB debugging. When he enables USB debugging and connect phone to computer adb not detect his phone. He must select HTC Sync like USB connection type and after this adb detect your phone. I tried this on my computer with my USB cable and same problem. He has stock rom (2.3.5) without root. And on my phone it is work without HTC Sync. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

What OS is his PC running?

Besides have ADB Debugging enabled, he should also have the USB connection set to Charge Only, not HTC Sync or Disk Drive. This is not a ROM issue that, it is simply a setting and driver issue.
Hello, for some reason I can't for the life of me get my phone to be recognised by my laptop. The best I accomplished was turning of USB debugging and it recognized the drive with HTC sync manager files. My phone will not display the MTP notification or get recognised by HTC sync manager. This is weird because my friends phone HTC one can be recognised by my computer as a MTP device, why not mine?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Side note: My phone is recognised by ADB, but doesn't display the USB debugging icon

uninstalling HTC sync would be a step in the right direction (just leave the drivers installed)

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I installed CM13 and it is very good. I haven't found any problem as of now in my phone but I am getting BSOD everytime when I connect the mobile to my PC through USB. I tried everything from changing the cord to changing the usb port, even uninstalled LG drivers but still getting BSOD.
Can anyone help me to understand and solve this. Right now my only option is to take SD card out and connect it using Card Reader. Phone is working smoothly. No issues so far. Its just this problem is bugging me. Appreciate if you guys can help me out. Thank You.
Okay so I am getting BSOD only when I am enabling the USB Debugging. By disabling USB Debugging I am able to connect the phone to PC but it is only in the charging mode. I am not able to access any files. It is showing blank. So what should I do now?

1st: The USB Debugging problem only occurs on Windows, Linux distros are fine
2nd:Just pull out the status bar and click on the charging one. You'll be given 3 options: charging, MTP and PTP. (Sorry if I misspelled the names, it's been a long time since I've done this)

Thank You. I can now access the files.
Yes I am on Windows 10. USB Debugging BSOD is still an issue. So is it okay to keep USB debugging off? I always keep that option enabled cause I thought its an important option if you happen to brick the device. So what is the solution? is this happening for everyone who are on custom rom?
Thanks once again.

It's okay to leave it off. If you happen to brick your device, it won't boot, meaning no USB debugging.

Someone post answer in cm13 thread - some issues with drivers from LG with cm roms compilations or something like that. Just UNINSTAL driver from PC and u good to go connect l90 via MTP
You mast UNINSTALL driver from PC and reboot PC.
Then install this drivers and reboot PC:
https://yadi.sk/d/8iKJQLio33FusS
L90 with 5.0.2 stok ROM or CM13 works correctly.
