I bought a brand new Nexus 6. The front camera is showing up strange tints of yellow, green and blue (not all at the same time). I have tried resetting to factory but this has still not solved the issue. Please help.
Most likely a hardware issue. I would suggest getting it replaced if you bought it just few days ago.

Hi,
So I am having issues with the colour yellow on my screen. I first noticed it within the stock messaging app. The yellows seemed green and rather light. But other times they seem dark and very yellow. I was wondering if anyone had noticed this on there S3 running 4.1.x .
I have tried doing a factory reset and the problem still persists. Could this be hardware or simply a software glitch?
Thanks in advance.
The first S3 i bought the bottom 20mm of the screen was very visibly pink, i returned it and got a replacement and this one is perfect, i suggest you do the same.
John.
No issues with mine, I'd be taking it back
Hello,
So lately when taking pictures in low light conditions I've been noticing purple spots in the right top corner of my pictures.
I did some research and I found a problem with a purple haze but I think this is a different problem.
Here is an example of what I mean:

As you can see it doesn't matter when or how I take my picture the spots seem to be in the same place.
I have the international version and i'm running Viper One 6.2.1 android version 4.4.2.
Does anyone know what this is and if there is a way to fix it?
Thanks on advanced!
No FIX.
I had same issue with the phone (at&t version). since i was under warranty, at&t replaced me with a Refurb one. Try installing AOSP based rom, or ARHD and see if the issue still persist.
HTC replaces phone with another defective one
I recently discovered my HTC ONE M7 has dead pixels on the top of the screen (notifications bar, which sucks as you cant access any shortucut to the notifications and need to look for the app on your own) and in the middle of the screen (when there is something to click on that spot i have to scroll up or down where the screen actually works. In some cases the page can't be scrolled down or zoomed therefore I am just screwed without options).
Turns out this happens 6 months after I got this phone exchanged by HTC (because the original phone I bought had a defective camera with purple color bug). This means the screen of the "new" phone I got has a life span of 6 months without defects only. SIX MONTHS!!
It seems when HTC replaces your phone for a new one they are just giving you defective products or refurbished products, which will break shortly after.
So nobody knows what is causing this problem and if its hardware or software related?

Hey! I got shipped used soft bricked M7 today, fixed software, updated to ViperOne 8,0,0 and noticed that when i open my camera, only front camera works and it shows everything in highly saturated pink. Also - there is no option for rear camera.
Any advice?

Pink saturation is a weeeeeellllllll known issue. The solution is to replace the camera with the newer module. First model all had this issue caused by heat.
FOr the other camera its looks like its not detected to it probably another hardware problem. Maybe its not connected correctly or the module is dead.
Advice: send it for repair.
(Some say purple, and blue in my screenshot)
Anyone has this issue?
I just heard about this from the links below, and tested with mine.. Unfortunately Mine has purple spots too.
It's been a month since I bought it. Will I get a refurbished one if I ask for a exchange??
Anyone dealt with Verizon regarding this problem?? Any Suggestions?

I just went through the same exact issue with my wife's S4. Different phone I know, but the purple, pixelated artifacts on the screen indicate a camera sensor hardware failure. The phone was still under warranty so I worked through Samsung Help and Verizon Tech Support to troubleshoot. A few things they had me do before sending a replacement phone were:
1. Toggle between front and rear cameras to see if it's present in both.
2. Switch between camera modes and resolutions (if applicable) to see if it disappears in any. Go ahead and zoom in if you could and see if it goes out of view.
3. Clear camera cache and data using the app manager.
4. Start the device in safe mode and check to see if it's an installed app that's affecting it - safe mode disables all non-system apps.
5. Factory reset the device.
After all of that, the conclusion was exactly as I expected: cam sensor hardware failure and warranty replacement. I can't speak to whether you'd get a refurb or new device as a replacement. Probably have a great chance to get a new device if you exchanged it in the store.
Hello everyone, recently I bought k20 pro indian global which has miui 12 stable rom. The one problem I'm facing from the first day of this phone is actually the yellow tint of the front camera. When it detects face it automatically giving yellow tint in any light condition. I tried different rom but the results are same. I'm not sure is it software bug or hardware. please help.
I am having no such issue, might be the problem of the device.
