Just FYI ive got the touchscreen working on this striped down version of a RC branch build of 7. Its very snappy and memory usage is down to 400MB after booting and it takes up 4GB of HDD space.
Id definitely recommend it to anyone with a shift, To get the touchscreen working set the Tablet PC and Human Interface Device Access services to automatic startup at first boot
Enjoy, Don't ask about where to find it or how to activate it or things that would get this thread deleted as its a must have for all shift users.
Is everything working ok? Wifi, shift control center, screen resolution?
Same as usual yeah it only takes up 4GB of disk space
Ok, thanks. I'll try.
Seems the only problem i could find is Office 2010 not installing because of error 1903, It can be fixed by copying the c:\windows\fonts folder from another instalation and not overwriting whats already there
Thanks for the find kashifsiddique!
I'm currently downloading this Build 7264 x86 I was wondering how big is the fonts folder? Would it be possible to post a link just in case other don't have another windows installation.
Looks like the fonts folder is about 350MB. I'll just back this folder up that I have before I reinstall. =)
Thanks again!

Hello,
Here is developed a small software who work on Windows called NexusLight, which allows you to create a ROM for your needs from the flash.
He was appointed NexusLight because I have only tested on the Nexus, but it should work with all phones / roms if the signature verification is disabled in the recovery.
This is actually an adaptation of the software GaospLight (frandroid forum) I had created for the Galaxy's first name.
It allows you to remove applications from the ROM but also to add.
The software interface is in French but in English except for description of the applications (in fact it is the language depending on the language of the OS)
Moreover a video presentation is often better than a thousand words I have made a video where you see the software in operation:

Download Link
The program will automatically update itself if a higher version available.
Warning: Some antivirus software can detect as malware.
But it is totally wrong is due to the UPX compression when compiling software.

Isn't it easier to use 7-zip or WinRAR to open the zip and add/remove any apks you want?
Does Zipping Unizpping Works ? Never tried it to asking ?
So...wow...
Umm?

You don't have to actually unzip the package. Just open it and add/remove apks from there. Though I think unzipping and re-zipping should work too
I agree this app is sort of silly since you can easily do the same thing with winrar/7zip. It might be useful if more features were added to it (e.g. change the kernel, change the boot animation, etc), until then...
7zip.
One zip to rule them all.

First of all i want to apologize for my bad english
This is my first post and I hope to write well in the right category and in the right way.
In my spare time I wrote a small tool script to manage Android devices from Linux, in particular I have created a rpm package for fedora.
If any of you is interested I'm looking for people to test it and can help me to create a .deb package for debian/ubuntu.
here the link for screenshots and script features.
If you are interested contact me on google+
I ran the tests only with lg dual (2X) model GB and ICS version.
Thanks
but, what is what can really be done with your script?

With FalkDroid you can (with a single click) :
1. Backup App on your local disk
2. Restore App on your device from local disk
3. Open my local backup dir"
4. Start normal user adb shell connection
5. Start root user adb shell connection"
6. Start root/write permission adb shell connection"
7. Open Android SDK
8. Auto install Android SDK 1.6
9. Auto install Android SDK 1.7

I'm looking into this also.. Trying to setup the environment it's hell frustrating as I'm not Linux user but I really want to get into android development..
I think a safest and easier path to start with its compiling from CyanogenMod sources.. Wich are safe already and loads of bugs corrected.. So being a kanger it's in my opinion the easiest way to learn.. Either way I just can't setup correctly my ubuntu environment and then how to get my hands into compiling CyanogenMod...

with the hopes of having a future in Zip usable MultiROM
Envoyé depuis MIUI 6 Miui-France
i couldnt resist and tried "trying it out" . backup up sdcard/ TWRPed my main rom. backed up EFS all to my laptop. Downloaded TWRP recovery and factory images (i think ubuntu repartitions sdcard ). But when i run ubuntu-device-flash it times out when downloading. Unfortunately Kubuntu people dont have instructions for offline flashing of images yet.
Also eagerly waiting for Plasma 5.4. bring a demo wayland support for laptops(at least intel hardware) that same thing which is running on Kubuntu N5 image !
Someone can share the wallpaper? Is gorgeous
Very interesant

Plasma Mobile: Linux-based smartphone operating system
07/25/2015*at*10:14 AM*by*Brad Linder*27 Comments
There’s a new player in the smartphone operating system*space: the folks behind the KDE desktop environment for Linux-based desktop computers have just unveiled*Plasma Mobile.

Plasma Mobile is basically a mobile version of the desktop Plasma user interface. It’s free and open source software, and while there aren’t any phones that ship with Plasma Phone OS, you can download andinstall the software on a Google Nexus 5using the same tools you would use to install Ubuntu Touch.
The software is based on*the Kubuntu operating system with an Android graphics driver, the kwin/Wayland display server. Plasma Mobile isn’t tied to Kubuntu though — it should work with other operating systems. The Nexus 5/Kubuntu software is just a reference implementation that makes it relatively easy for anyone to test the software.
The software can handle typical smartphone functions, including phone calls, notifications, a customizable app launcher, and more.
There’s also support for KDE Plasma widgets, and eventually the goal is to offer a “convergence” experience that will allow you to run desktop apps on your mobile phone. While that might not make a lot of sense when you’re using a 5 inch screen, it could come in handy when you connect your phone to an external display.
If you’ve used the desktop version of KDE Plasma, you’ve basically used 90 percent of the code that can now run on smartphones. The difference is that the mobile version uses a new shell/workspace designed for smartphones. That’s where you get the app launcher, settings, task switcher, and other features.
So what can you actually do with Plasma Phone OS? In addition to Plasma apps, the software currently supports apps developed for Ubuntu smartphones, devices running Jolla’s Sailfish OS, and eventually there are plans to support Android appwith Ubuntu …*[Read More...]

How to install Plasma Mobile with MultiROM
MultiROM is useful for installing multiple ROM's on your android device, more information can be found on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...tore/apps/details?id=com.tassadar.multirommgr
Tested devices
(If you test it with another devices please add it in following list)
LG Nexus 5 (hammerhead)
Prerequisites
This guide assumes that you have kernel_kexec patch applied as mentioned in above links. You can skip installing MultiROM manager application and TWRP recovery for now. (Keep reading)
Install patched MultiROM manager
Currently MultiROM manager hard codes the image server to system-image.tasemnice.eu, However thanks to user @sedrubal on Github, MultiROM Manager is patched to use kubuntu.plasma-mobile.org instead of system-image.tasemnice.eu server.
Download APK from*https://user.fablab.fau.de/~ev80uhys/multirommgr/*and install it using adb.
adb install «Path to com.tassadar.multirommgr.debug.apk»
Install Patched TWRP MultiROM recovery
MultiROM manager uses the patched TWRP recovery to finalize the installation of the operating systems. This recovery uses PGP keys to verify the Ubuntu touch images. However current recovery only have keys for the*http://system-image.tasemnice.eu*and*http://system-image.ubports.com. So it also requires patching*: Required patch is*:https://github.com/Tasssadar/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/pull/16/
Since this is not merged yet, I have uploaded patched version athttps://share.kde.org/index.php/s/OIgNSGoymLRyahg
Download it and flash it with fastboot.
adb reboot bootloader fastboot flash recovery «path to twrp-kubuntu-keys-final.img»
Finally install the Plasma Phone
Reboot to normal Android, open MultiROM manager installed in earlier step. In the Ubuntu Card, select devel or devel-proposed and click on install..
It will take while to download. After download is over, it will reboot to recovery, in recovery it will make real installation process, so drink a coffee meanwhile..*
After that it is done installing it will reboot. Before android logo is shown it will ask you to choose from Internal or utouch_devel, Select utouch_devel to boot into your plasma.
