TWRP recovery not loading after flashing CM13 - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have just flashed the CM13 nightly after running 12.1 snapshot happily for some time and now I can't get TWRP to load successfully. It will show the flash screen but won' t go any further. Has anyone else faced a similar problem or know how to fix it?

Same issue here. I'm using Cyanpop 4.8 (based on CM13). Since I flashed the ROM my TWRP is not accessable as described.
I'm using the CM recovery insteed until the issue is fixed. Reflash TWRP brought me back to the original issue.
I also found that I'm not able to delete the TWRP folder on my internal storage (using a filemanager app or my file manager on my computer using a usb cable). At the moment I try to safe my data and wipe the internal storage. But with the CM recovery it does not work. CWM is not available for the Moto X 2014..
Any other ideas or fixes?

Wipe internal storage solved the problem. Reflashed latest TWRP version. Works fine.

Using CM recovery and then reflash TWRP?

It works you're right! I used cm recovery to wipe media and factory reset then back to fastboot installed TWRP and bingo it loaded! Weird thing was though my phone wasn't reset when I rebooted all my apps were there...

[Q]Stuck on ROM [SOLVED]

I fixed it!
I tried installing the older 3xxx CWM from rom manager, and then tried installing the rom but still didn't work. So I just reinstalled the 4.0.0.5 and wiped/flashed EXT3 and everything and now works :S
I don't know if this was some bug, but I got it fixed by just reinstalling CWM. Also the wiping takes a little longer than normal.

I've been flashing ROM's since I got my G1 two years ago, but never had anything like this.
I'm stuck on the Blazingdragon 1.8b ROM, I can only flash that ROM and boot. If I try any other ROM my phone freezes at the LG logo with the loading bar. Even updating to Blazingdragon 1.9b freezes my phone, I tried converting to EXT4 and back but wouldn't help.
Anyone know what to do?
Info:
Recovery: CWM 4.0.0.5
Baseband: 622
Current ROM: Blazingdragon 1.8b
BlazingDragon 1.9b uses EXT3, so you will need to convert to that before installing it, otherwise you'll be stuck on boot.
Use this to convert to EXT3 - http://imperticus.com/android/r1-backtoext3-2x-unsigned.zip
I flashed the back to EXT3 zip and then the Blazingdragon 1.9b, but I'm still stuck on boot.
How long does it normally take to flash the back to EXT3 zip, because mine is done in seconds, is this normal?
If all else fails: Backup, nvflash, root, download cwm, flash it, flash new rom, recover backup

If you're using latest recovery 4.0.0.5, always go to mount and storage in recovery and ensure that system, data, cache all those are always mounted before and after u flash something.

I've used mounted every partition and it still doesn't work.
What I did:
Mount all the partitions
Whipe data/cache/dalvik
Flash back to EXT3
Flash MoDaCo FR19 fear edition 12.1
Flash RIL622
Reboot
Still stuck on the bootloop, did I go something wrong?
First flash 622 then the rom
i think

Change your recovery. Use a older 3.xxx recovery. It should work.
I will try this as soon I'm home

[Q] Phone constantly bootloops, data cannot be mounted

I've unlocked my bootloader, flashed a kernel, went into recovery and installed the ROM zip (I've tried both VanirAOSP and Mahdi ROM).
It remains in a bootloop.
When I press clear data/cache, recovery says the partition cannot be mounted.
Can anyone help, please?
Never mind, problem solved, I flashed a stock rom using flashtool and reinstalled the rom from there.

Bootloop after installing a 5.1 ROM over a Stock 4.4.4 ROM.

here's what i did: i installed Microkat on a XT1068 with 48.86 bootloader, i formated my internal storage and my micro SD a day after. Today i was looking for a 5.1 ROM and i found a new SlimLP update, so i wanted to install it, and i did. The ROM booted up but there was something wrong, the wallpaper was the same i used on Microkat ( i did a clean install ), the launcher was Nova Launcher, the same launcher MicroKat uses, and some of my old apps where there, i don't know how it happened. So android.acore was FCing, so i went to TWRP and formated everyrhing and installed the ROM again. The rom doesn't booted up anymore, and i don't have a PC to save my phone, there is any way to save it without a PC? I know why it happened (its because i installed a Stock KK rom and then an AOSP 5.1 ROM, i already faced this issue, but now i don't have a backup or a Stock 5.0.2 zip file to install and free me out of this bug). Please if there's any way to do that without a PC tell me

You'll have to restore stock 4.4.4, OTA update to 5.0.2, and then install custom 5.1.1 ROM.
You'll also need to make sure you update the bootloader, if you haven't done so already.
Just wipe system cache data and dalvik cache and then flash. No need of again flashing 5.0.2 and all that.

Soft-brick/boot loop with CM 11

I'm using CM11 on my 9305 now for more than a year. After testing twrp and phillz recovery, cm11 gets stuck in the boot animation.
even factory and cache reset or restoring an old backup do not work for me.
As a last attempt I used heimdall to flash the very same cwm i had before, delete everything besides external sd (even the internal "sd card") and restore an old backup
any ideas?
plz delete. I reflashed entire stock-rom, afterwards using CWM and CM11 everythings works now.

some problems with my i9305 after installing CM12.1 -> I hope you can help

Hi there,
my plan was to install CM 12.1 with the help of this site:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-t3066156
At first, I used Odin to get TWRP on my phone. With TWRP I did a complete backup (EFS, Boot, Cach, System, Data).
Actually, I thought I have done everything like it is instructed on this page.
->
"First time installing CyanogenMod 12.1 to your Galaxy S3 I9305, or coming from another ROM:
- Read known issues ans FAQs
- Flash one of the recovery images (CWM or TWRP)
- Copy GApps and CM12.1 ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM12.1 zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!"
<-
After installing GApps, I wiped all data on the internal storage, did a factory reset and rebooted.
Unfortunately, I have been stucking at boot. There has been only the CM symbol on the display.
With TWRP I restored my backup. After that, my phone has been booting normally, but it could not find any mobile service.
According to the settings, my phone didn't recognise my sim card anymore.
(After using Odin, I did a reboot and noticed already that my phone hasn't got any mobile service anymore. Can this be?)
Moreover, I discovered that I my phone has got difficulties to copy things from the computer to the SD-card or to the internal storage.
Even copying things from the SD-card to the internal storage, or the other way round, using a file manager app like "Astro" is not working.
I tried to do a factory reset, but then again, the phone stucks at boot. On the display just appears "SAMSUNG".
Can you guys please help me to get back to a working phone?
With best regards,
New.Android.User
which version of TWRP did you flash?
I used twrp-2.8.7.0-i9305.img.tar
although pm'ed you the solution I'll post a big warning again:
DO NOT USE TWRP 2.8.7.0 from twrp.me. This build is faulty and causes a soft brick. To fix that you need to flash stock rom again and stay on TWRP 2.8.5.0 or any other recent recovery of Philz Touch or CWM.
alright! Thank you so much!
So, I will continue like that:
1. With the help of Odin i will install a new bootloader. I recommended twrp-2.8.5.0-i9305.tar
2. Then again with Odin, I will install the stock rom using -> sammobile.com/firmwares/download/45775/I9305XXUFOB2_I9305DTMFOB2_DTM/
3. Then I will go to the TWRP-recovery and install CM12.1 with GApps.
Is this the right order?
first stock, then custom recovery and then you can flash rom and gapps
