Hi. I flashed my S6 G920F with a (wrong) recovery.img and now it hangs up at the first boot screen. "...powered by Android".
I can restart the device with Vol- & Power button, but cannot access the download menu (Vol+ & Power & Home).
Any ideas how I can get access to it?
Odin, Kies 3 or SmartSwitch did not find my device.

Let me correct you Recovery is Volume UP
Download mode is power off them power with VOL DOWN And home all at once Don't do it from a bootloop state
Power it off by holding power till it goes off BEFORE it tries to reboot into the bootloop and then quickly trigger all 3 at once usually VOL down first

Make sure you just flash the correct twrp With Odin. It will be in a .tar format since you'll have to use Odin .
Just Google tmobile s6 twrp and will take you to twrp main page find the tmobile version that clearly says it's tmobile compatible .
Usually sprint and vzw versions are separate
I did this all once before .
This will get you back into a custom recovery and allow a normal reboot of the device
Do yourself a big favor and run a backup in twrp .
Best of luck

Hold the vol up button & home button & power button in that order. Just keep the buttons pressed until u enter recovery mode. u will see the samsung logo twice.
Also, the stock recovery only gives you option for factory restore. Have to flash a suitable cwm recovery before u can utilize this facility.
remove and reinsert battery and be quick when pressing the recovery button.
After installing Maclaw CW11.0 i decided to install SlimROM.
Now, It seems I'm in a Bootloop.
I'm unable to go to download mode or Recovery by using the buttons.. Vol Up(or Down) + Home + Power Doesn't do anything
Vol Up + Vol Down and then plugging in the USB cable doesn't do anything either...
I just see the SlimROM logo blinking for a while... then it stops... and it reboots...
Anyone any ideas of what i can do?

i think you forgot to wipe before flashing the new rom.
So pull out the battery, wait few seconds, put it in and try to reboot into recovery or download-mode.
Good luck
I'd love to do that, but how do I go into those modes if 3 button combo doesn't work nor vol up + vol down + plug in usb?

try this one (but without guarranty:
1. power off phone
2. remove battery.
3. plug in USB cable to computer and phone (with battery out)
4. hold Vol Up and Vol Down
5. drop in the battery while still holding the vol buttons
6. in 2 secs you'll be in download mode
Good luck
Thnx for the good luck
However, I've tried that method and it didn't work. I've ordered a USB Jig, maybe that can help.
Let you know
why cant you go to download mode
dont release those buttons until you go to download mode [do it when your phone is completly powered off]
did u flash three way combo recovery by benzonator

Not a brick only no system support
Download mode - use three way comnations only when ur phone is totally turned off and press and hold them don't leave them
I own multiple phones and tablets and I can get every single one into download mode. Just not this one. The three button combo does not work, not even when I remove my battery first. As soon as I'm home I'll make a small video of what happens.
Btw, the only mode I can actually get in to is: POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE
I get there by holding Vol Up & Power On
Any thoughts?

U r pressing wrong combination for download mode you have to press
Vol down + "power" + home and have to hold it to enter no s3 mini logo appears before download mode
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tdznfLJsyY
see in this video he doesnt leave power button
and after that flash 3 way recovery from this thread by using odin - download mode
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066407
@S. Phrenic
press vol up + menu + power much longer. The s3 mini logo appears 2 times and then recovery mode comes up.
if this doesn´t help, try ADB method
1. Download and install Android SDK
2. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
3. Press Win key+ r and type cmd
4. Type adb reboot recovery
5. Done. Phone should reboot into recovery
Good luck
In the video I'm showing 3 different things:
1. Vol Up + Power + Home
2. Vol Down + Power + Home
3. Vol Up + Vol Down
Non of them work. I checked your video, I don't see how I do anything different.
Duration change, check! I've now held it for 3 min.
I've got a S2 plus laying next to me and I can get into download mode without any trouble. This means I know how to get into recovery and download mode without any trouble.

Does my phone need to be turned on for the adb method?
it says, error: device not found
Kies doesn't see the device... because it's not powered i'm assuming..
Think I found my problem.... USB debugging is disabled... I think.... as I can't remember enabling it
Try emergency restore in Samsung Kies.

Yes it needs to be turned on to system with adb debug, or to custom recovery.
For emergency mode in kies I think you need download mode as well.
You don't need adb debug enabled to use download mode, but for some reason you can't enter dl-mode

Hi,
I'm using Samsung galaxy mini(S5570), i was trying to flash my mobile, so I rooted it and then installed CWM (using Odin Multi Downloader v4.38, TASS_v1.0.ops, tass-recovery-cwm.tar), but after doing that I'm unable enter to recovery mode.
When I'm holding power button & home button together to enter to recovery mode the Samsung logo is coming and staying till I'm rebooting mobile.
Somebody please help me to solve it, I hardly need to flash my mobile.

If the samsung logo comes up, release power button and only hold home. I think your home button has contact issues, so keep trying, it might just happen once.
My Tab S2 T713 is currently running the latest stock Samsung rom. I want to install Lineage 15.1
I've downloaded twrp-3.2.1-0-gts28vewifi.img.tar & Odin 3.12.7. I can boot into download mode, flash TWRP with Odin which says success & my tablet reboots normally. When I power down & reboot into recovery TWRP gets over written by the stock recovery.
If I uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin, after flashing success, I'm still in download mode - I've read that I need to boot directly into recovery from download mode - how do I do this?
In download mode pressing home + voldown + power reboots normally. Pressing home + volup + power does nothing
What am I doing wrong?

Instructions:
Flash with ODIN 3.10.7 in the AP slot.
Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
Uncheck Auto reboot.
Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding POWER + HOME.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
Brilliant - thank you. Why they can't have they have that in the Lineage install instructions?
Now running Lineage 15.1 = happy bunny

For the love of god, thank you. This wasn't in the LineageOS instructions. But I still can't install it, it says my bootloader isn't supported (T713XXU1APG1).

Good to hear! Please make sure you give a thumbs up to anyone who helped. It really keeps the community alive and kicking!
I found that I had to do this from completely powered off state:
press home + volume up + power
wait until second "sentence" appears on screen in yellow (the first "sentence" is blue),
Then release all buttons
twrp now boots.
for some reason, my internal and external storage is showing 0 mb. Anyway to fix this?
Try formatting (not just wipe) data.
Should the Galaxy Tab S2 2016 be on TWRP 3.2.1.0 or the new 3.2.3.0 for Linage OS 15?
If so, can't you just flash the update using TWRP on the img file, or is ODIN on the tar needed?
OK, I updated to TWRP 3.2.3 using TWRP Recovery and the img file. Appears to work fine.

Sorry to revisit this issue. I can't get TWRP going on my S2 Tablet. I understand these instructions, but at the end of the ODIN installation there are two possibilities that I can see. If you set the ODIN to automatically reboot then you cannot do the above because it says to do it from completely powered off.
If you don't set ODIN to reboot automatically I can't get the tablet to turn off. I can only get it to boot by holding home+volume down + power. How do I get the tablet to power off before booting??
I am using ODIN 3.14.4 and TWRP-3.7.0 9-0-gts28wifi.img.tar and my stock firmware is NRD90M.T713XXS2BSG1 with Kernel 3.10.84-14953299
Thank you.
I have a 8" Tab S2 that I installed Lineage on and I'm going to sell it so want to set it back to factory Samsung firmware. Anyone have instructions available?
Thanks.

go to https://samfrew.com/model/SM-T710/ and pick your model# from the drop-down list (My tab is sm-t710) and then get the firmware for your region. The download is slow as hell, but it's the only place I've found with all/most of the latest firmware zips.
Download odin then flash:
Flashing guide:
1. Download and extract a zip file containing your desired firmware.
2. Open Odin Tool.
3. Boot your device in the "Download Mode":
Press Volume Down, Power and Home buttons at same time for 5-8 seconds until download mode is active.
4. Connect your device to PC via the USB cable while in download mode.
5. Next, check the "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" options in Odin Tool.
6. Hit the AP/PDA button then browse and select a tar.md5 file from the extracted folder.
7. Finally press the start button to begin flashing the firmware update on your device.

boot into recovery and wipe cache/format data... I ran into a similar bootloop, but was able to boot into recovery:
Once the tablet runs out of battery.. connect your power cord then:
1. Press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power button for a couple of seconds.
2. Release all buttons after the Samsung Logo appears on the screen.
