[ROM][05 May 2012] TolgaMOD_click_v1.2 (Froyo)

Hello,
This mod is based on Dexter's TatFroyoSense v0.4 and Fyodor's Froyo AOSP 2.2.2. I could not find a Froyo or a Gingerbread release that has a working Flash plug-in, except for Dexter's, which has full HTC Sense UI. Since I don't like Sense and especially Rosie Launcher so much, I decided to cook this mod TolgaMOD aims to have a simple light UI, with minimum apps and libraries included to have the HTC Tattoo fully working. I don't beleive Flash is going away anytime soon, so "fully working" includes a Flash plug-in in my definition.
Credits go to Dexter for the Wildfire port, Fyodor for all AOSP 2.2.2 Apps & Drivers, Kiljaken for OC kernel, Kalim for his camera work, dsixda for the HTC Android Kitchen, and Dysgenic for the boot animation. Thank you guys!

INSTALLING:
You need to use Clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 or newer to flash the mod. Please backup your data and apps, do a factory/data reset and wipe the Dalvik cache before you install. It's OK to flash Gapps right after TolgaMOD before rebooting your phone. First time boot might take a while, please be patient... If you like, you can watch the boot progress from your PC by installing Android SDK, connecting a USB cable and typing "adb logcat" at your PC's command prompt/terminal.

Is it possible to install HTC-Apps like Rosie.apk on this ROM? I ask, because I really like the Sense UI and the HTC Framework should be included in this ROM as there are some HTC Apps included.

Yes, of course, this mod is still HTC Sense under the hood. You can reinstall Rosie, HTCLockscreen etc. from Dexter's ROM /system/app directory. Or just use Dexter's full Sense UI version instead
I stripped many HTC stuff to make this mod lighter, it boots and works faster in my opinion. Removing Rosie and using ADW Launcher was a big part of that.

The process android.process.acore has suddenly stopped working. Try again.
I receive that error each 2 seconds after installing TolgaMOD with Google Apps. Without Google Apps everything loads very slow for the first time.

Please do a factory/data reset and wipe the Dalvik cache before installing this mod. It's OK to flash Gapps at the same time. Let me know how that goes.

Just use "adb push packagename.apk /system/app" command in recovery mode for the ones you'd like to restore. Or you can use Root Explorer or similar root file manager to copy files to /system/app on your phone.

What is bluetooth status

Yes, this rom is Sense based, so all HTC apps for Froyo will run. I'm not sure about bluetooth since I don't use it. But I tried pairing my phone with Ubuntu and it worked. I currently use clockworkmod 3.0.0.6, but it should work fine on clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 also. The mod uses an "updater-script", so it won't work with Amon-Ra recovery.

It does it automatically if the person's name is exactly the same. I tried manual link, but it has a problem. I will add it to the isssues, and check it.

I think it's no good style comparing roms this way.
Each project has it's special aims.
Believe me, there is no rom with everything working perfect.

Dear fellow xda members,
Few months back when i gave my Xperia Mini Pro to my girlfriend and bought HTC Legend for myself, i'm a bit disappointed to see there are just a few choices of ROM for this device. But now, we have more flavors of ROM. Now, i'm going to share one more ROM which also one of the ROM that i'm dying to see to be able to run in our device (apart from miuiv4), which is AOKP.
This ROM is my personal ROM, stable and faster than MIUIv4 with much more customization and usefull options than CM9. I have tested it for several days with a very heavy usage and i'm very happy on how it served me. However, i don't dare to claim it is the one for everyone. If you like it, then i'm happy for you. If you hate it, you can leave it. If you can help me and the others on getting it more better, then you are more than welcome. Please don't PM me for any patches/mod/bug fixes etc that you made for it but instead, PLEASE POST IT HERE so that i can link your post to the credits section which to ensure that any contribution you made will be recognized.

Hints/Tips
Press power+vol down together for few moments to take screenshots immediately.
Long press on the "settings icon" in notification to go to settings. Long press on the toggle button to go to the corresponding setting page.
Go to Settings -> ROM Control -> Tools -> Start-up tweaks, tick on the box to enable it and choose any tweaks you want to be started on boot by ticking on the corresponding boxes (enable sysctl and recommended and enable SD Boost is not recommended as i didn't test it much, unless you know what you do and choose the correct setting. Even without the SD Boost enabled, the ROM already very smooth.)
As usual, set Background Process limit to At Most 4 Processes under Developers options
If you have problems with Play store after applying custom dpi in ROM Control (i have tested it with normal play store and working just fine though), please apply patched play store from my Miuiv4. Will upload/attach it here later.

Issues/FIXES
Camera hang/fc
1st, go to settings -> apps -> all then clear data for camera. That should do the trick.
If still not working, then replace the /system/app/Camera.apk with the one attached (stock aokp with no burst mode). Clear data for camera, go to cwm and wipe cache and dalvik-cache ONLY.
Phone issue when changing dpi

Voice Search:
If you have issue with voice search, try tips from farukb HERE
IF didn't work for you, then do as follows:
1. Uninstall voice search using titanium backup OR
1a. uninstall using manually/adb
- reboot into cwm, mount /system/
- open terminal or command prompt, type adb shell
- then type rm /system/app/VoiceSearch.apk
- clear cache and dalvik cache
2. install voice search from play store

Thanks for the encouragements.
Right now i'm trying to include the new camera which a bit faster and have burst mode. Once finish that, will try to remove any unwanted apk before trying to put any extra tweaks, testing applying themes and other things. Just got permission from the dev of ROM that i take as aokp base so i think i can release it earlier than i expect.

Havent test it as i didnt use it frequently, but in zeubea's cm9 (which is this ROM based on), i got very poor results, accuracy of 1900m, might be because of my location (borneo island) or something else but i will test it.

Yes, the basics is all working fine even in the initial stage. All obvious bugs has been fixed. As i have mentioned in post #3, im on stability testing for now as i intended to use this ROM as my primary ROM.
I have used this ROM under heavy usage for 2 days without any single reboots, tonight i will do stress test on it and tomorrow once i get back to the office, i will clean up everything (and implement the OTA updater if possible) and upload it. So, i can say you can expect it to be shared here by Tuesday 28 aug.

Alright guys enjoy another ROM for the M. This is just a first release, let's make it better. I only ask one thing... Don't ask me to change the theme or don't ask me to release a ROM without theming. You can use the stock ROM for that This is themed and tweaked to my taste and I hope some of you like it enough to run it on your own device.
This ROM contains most of the Verizon bloat in it. I plan to release an Aroma powered version so the user can choose what they want to install. Or maybe just separate, debloated versions.
By "Verizon" bloat I really mean Verizon specific applications, like its backup assistant, visual voicemail, etc... not the spamware they loaded the phone with. Stuff that might actually be useful to Verizon customers.
I'd like to say that it's safe to restore your userdata partition (backup) over whatever ROM slot you install this ROM to and be back in business in no time, IF YOU ARE already running the stock JB ROM...

Downloading and will install it . How good is battery life?. I see lot of black i your theme, does it have inverted gapps in it? .
On the lighter side have you checked any other ROM's available in this forum. I just asked so as to know more about battery life because that is the most important factor for me

Battery life is excellent because it's built on the stock base. Been running it on my phone for the last week and a half..
No inverted gapps... But the contacts app is dark as seen in the pics. Gmail is still white..

Thanks for ROM. Installed it on seperate slot. Will post my experience tomorrow. Can I install inverted gapps at the time of installation along with the above zip file ?

You can do whatever you want The ROM has disabled package signature checking, so you can install APKs from pretty much any ROM.

Best ROM so far for Droid Razr M.
1)Solved the problems of ciphering and Mobile tethering. Even though they can be done even after installing any ROM it is even inbuilt in this.
2)Secondly theme you used is amazing. Blue color is so cool and pleasing to eyes.
3) It detected all the settings all by itself. I installed all other ROM's and none had done that.
4) Reboot is included in power button option
5) No problems whatsoever with FC's as they are so natural in other ROM's. I dont want to criticize other ROM's but this is the best first build I have used ever. Zero problems.
6) However one application is missing. Application to browse files is removed. Even though its not a big issue it can be different environment altogether for some people. Hope that you kindly include it.
7) Bottom Navigation buttons sizes have been reduced which implies more screen space. I always thought that this modification should be done to as a default to many ROM's ( just saying ) because stock buttons are too big

First problem faced . " unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped" . This happened when I started my device for first time. As I am Living outside US I got SIm card notification and then this this error. I am unable to open Contacts and Phone app because of this error . Can you kindly explain what it means and how to prevent it from showing up again ?

Hmmm seemed to install fine, booted fine, but doesn't get a data connection of any sort. Possibly related to the acore process that force closes when I try to launch phone or contacts app..
Anyone have any this issue? Installed to romslot 1.

Yeah I gotta work on fixing that acore FC that happens for some people. It seems to happen when you do a "dirty" install, without wiping data first. I'll work on a solution....

You have to have adb installed on your computer. Try googling.. "how to create a logcat"

it's a different android base though bro. Safestrap won't flash the kernel. It's possible that Odin might work for that though.
I'm not a fan of some of the visual changes though in lolipop. Dialer and messages.

It's an AOSP LolliPop for the N9005 or HLTE Version Note 3, I've been under the impression that we're able to flash some HLTE Rom's to our device.

Not yet I'm tempted too, while I had my HD2 in service for awhile no real top quality smartphone or android device, it kinda made me embrace the better side of AOSP Rom's, before I hated them and felt like they were too naked and bare minimal, now I guess my Note 3 is trying to push me into flashing a new rom text messages stopped working for no reason, I've been meaning to flash a new rom and get away from stock and experiment a little, I'd advise downloading the rom in something like firefox, for some reason it kept failing to download halfway through in Chrome on my Desktop though.

That Rom looks like a aosp Rom and we can't flash anything other than touch wiz kernels so this Rom won't work

I would be flashing but dang safestrap keeps checking signature verification, it even failed signature verification on alliance rom v7.1, WTF How do I disable that? I shouldn't be getting that error especially on a rom made for this phone!

I wonder.... If we flashed the custom N900A/N9005 Kernel, Modem and Bootloader from this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/wip-getting-note4-norma-n9005-running-t2978346 if we'd be able to boot the New N9005 zipped rom.

I don't get it that rom says it's for our phone. I'm tempted to try it, kind of a hybrid of N9005 and N900A mixed with Note 4 features.
The installation looks rather complex though install this odin that then flash this. LoL :cyclops:

After 3 hours of use, only bug so far Font size edit not working, it stucks in loading and then a FC dialog appeared, will continue testing, i see no reason to flash back to my SuperWizCyan Rom, i hope in the future we can have AROMA Installer with the S7 Edge features in it thank you so much for your effort!

hello, i believe there is a bug in the lockscreen wake. once clicking the home button it takes 4 seconds for the phone to wake, please make an update to wake it faster

in my phone it is working fine
UPDATE: just change the lockscreen effect and it will work fine some lock screeneffects take more time then other

that's werid, my phone takes a good 4-5 sec after pressing the home/power button for the screen to turn on

review for people who are thinking of flashing
i have been using this ROM for the past couple of days, here are some of the problems:
[*]2-4 second lag when using any unlock animation including lock methods (pattern, pin, face...)
[*]3-4 second lag when pulling up keyboard in any app
[*]occasional crash when pulling up keyboard, screen goes to default wallpaper and is unresponsive until force shutdown (take out battery)
[*]some apps seem seem to have a lower resolution than using stock ROM e.g Clash of Clans
[*]occasional glitch where phone randomly locks, or becomes unresponsive
[*]battery life screen on time 2-3 hours with light-medium use. 1-2 hours with heavy use (not a big issue, just like to mention it)
However, this ROM is the closest ROM to making your s4 active into a s6 or s7, other apps such as the music, theme store, messaging, phone, camera etc work perfectly fine with no stutter or lag. this also helps in making your phone look like its on marshmallow, and you can theme it further with nova launcher or google launcher to make it look like stock android. Charging times are as standard, it took me around 2 - 2:30hrs to charge from 0%-100%, battery life is a little lacking, but it is expected as it is a custom ROM.
if you are looking for a stable ROM, i recommend looking at firmwares from Sammobile, as this ROM is isn't stable, however, it will get you by as a daily driver as i am doing now, but you will need to get used to the problems that i listed, until the developers fix it.

please after flashing the rom am not able to boot the phone, sounds like i need some special kernel, it boots back to the safe strap recover, any guide please?

did u do a full wipe of the system and the cashe?
