HTC First Charging and USB issue - HTC First

I have a HTC first running 4.1.2 I am having a problem with it not charging unless it is off and it will not recognize usb when connected to my pc. Is there any way to fix this issue?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same here, mine will not charge and isn't recognized by computer with a slow blinking red light.
Here is what I tried so far;
-hold power +volume buttons for 3 minutes while on oem charger then let go,
-hold power +volume up button, -occasional blinking home and menu button
-hold power +volume down, -^same
-put phone +moisture absorbents in a ziplock bag,
-leave on charger for (insert time here),
-leave connected to computer for (insert time here).
I might be missing something(s) but that is all I can think of right now...

Dead Milestone, no power

Hi!
Yesterday my Mileston was OK (about 40% battery), I have put it in my pocket and after 30 minutes device was off. I thought that batterry is discharged. So I connected it to the wall charger, but nothing happened (white led doesn't light up, black screen) and I can't power it up. I have left it for night and today is the same situation - no charging led, doesn't power up. When I connecting it to the USB port white charging led is flashing but nothing more, screen still blank, doesn't power up. I can't go into bootloader.
Tried:
- Removed/reinserted battery
- Press power button with SIM removed
- Press power button with memory card removed
- Press power button and X
- Press power button and UP
- Press power button without battery inserted, while on wall charger
And nothing. Have you any idea?
@EDIT:
I have connected old nokia battery with cables and phone started up. Everything is ok.

Phone does nothing but vibrate when plugged in (possibly bricked)...

Really randomly today I try to turn on my Nexus One after not using it for a couple of weeks, and when I plug it in it just vibrates non-stop. Screen won't turn on, phone won't turn on, nothing, just straight vibration.
So I plug into into the USB port, same exact thing, just vibrates one long never-ending vibration.
But apparently the computer is recognizing it because when I plug it in, it says unknown USB device detected (thru all the vibration and all).
I hold down all manner of combination of vol up, vol down, vol up + vol down, etc... before plugging it in or trying to turn it on, even with the battery removed from the device, same thing, no fastboot, no recovery, no splash screen.
Basically right now the only hope I have is that it IS vibrating, so it's doing something, and that even though the computer can't recognize the USB it is recognizing something plugged into it.
Any thoughts?

[Q] Xperia Z led indication, water recovery operation

Hi guys,
I think I have a new Xperia Z situation to report:
After getting water into the USB port and spending a few days drying out the phone, I now get symptoms cannot find in any other XDA thread:
- When I hold volume button UP while connecting the USB port, it quickly flashes RED and then stays BLUE, also after releasing the volume button. When I disconnect the cable the LED light goes off again
- When I just connect the USB without holding any button, the LED goes RED.
- While the LED is RED, I can hold the power + volume UP buttons simultaneously and then release the power button to change to BLUE.
But regardless what I do there are no life signs in Flashtool
Other symptoms:
In the cradle, the LED has gone from RED to ORANGE to GREEN, indicating full charge. But when connecting the charger directly to the USB port it just flashes 1x RED and 1x GREEN sub-second before it goes off. So it seems it doesn't charge through the USB port but only through the cradle.
The phone is turned off and does not react to the power button. Have pressed power, and power + volume up button, but without the usual vibration responsiveness.
I have tried to connect to the phone using Flashtool. Following tips from other threads I've tried both latest version & Beta 4, Multiple USB ports, etc.
But the phone never gets identified through the USB port.
The phone should be 100% dry now after multi-day rice bag + cold air hair dryer treatments. But I'm afraid I might have I tried to force it back on too early, perhaps before all water was out...
Still with the LED indicator showing a little sign of life, would you say there's a chance to rescue it?
All ideas and advice much appreciated.

The water might of caused a short circuit somewhere in the phone which has caused the bugs so drying it might not repair the damage, how long has the phone been dry for? Hopefully some1 has had the same issues and solved it somehow.

Phone not turning on

Hi all,
I have ARHD 92 rom on my HTC one m7. Since yesterday my phone had a couple of random reboots. Today, it turned off while I was working on something and now it wont turn on. The charging light doesnt come up when I connect to a charger ( i have tried a car charger, a pc through usb, wall charger and a portable charger). When I connect it to the pc, i hear the sound that means windows detected something.
I have tried, the bright light to proximity sensor and many key combinations like power + vol up, power + vol down, power + vol up + vol down, all for extended durations.
Anything else that I could try?
Thanks

HTC Vivid Not Turning on. When plugged in shows Battery 100%.

I have an old HTC Vivid. It has been working fine since about last week, when it only charged if I held the charger a certain way. I gave up on charging it with the charger and used a battery charger to charge it. That worked well until this morning. Now pressing the power button does nothing. Plugging it in with the HTC Charger turns the screen on to show 100% charged and the charge light turns green. Pressing the power button makes both the screen and the LED turn off. I've tried:
Power + Vol. Up
Power + Vol. Down
Power + Vol. Up + Vol. Down
Power (30 Sec)
Nothing works.
What do you mean "battery charger". The cradle that you put the battery into and then plug into the wall?
When you plug your phone into the computer do you hear the ping it usually makes when something is plugged in?

Yes, a battery "cradle". I used to hear the ping it makes when you plug it in immediately followed by the ping it makes when something is plugged out. The charger port smells like it's been burnt out.
