You always loose root after flashing stock firmware! Should have flashed it with MobileOdinPro.
If you want root again, downgrade to a directly rootable rom (all versions till KL7) and reroot it with CFRootIntitialFlasher by Chainfire, thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784

you will need to use odin to flash an older stock rom, root it then use mobile opdin to flash the latestst stock version

I have flashed to KL3, but i failed at rooting it.
idk why, but the doomlord zerg v4 i used to root before won't work.
Just pick and download a stock rom from here (till KL7) http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3. Flash with Odin and reroot with InitialCFRootflasher http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784 and you`re done

Just read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784 once or twice and follow it to the letter and it can`t go wrong
I have ticked both, done the instruction precisely(very short steps), and still fails
after the zerg phase, it says
/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 : cannot open for write: Permission denied
---cleaning up
---rebooting
and it is still unrooted

If I reflash KK2 would it keep all my stuff (contacts, apps, settings) or it will be as format?
Is there any other easier methods to root the LA1 or wait for it?
Iam new with Samsung and Odin, and read somewhere that mobile Odin will intact the 0 flashing (or something means that)
And also read that all flashing can be done via windows Odin (easier for me to deal via pc than mobile screen size)

No LA1 cannot be rooted directly unless you don`t care about raising the binary flash counter. I think KK2 is a wipe rom so yes you will losse everything on your internal disk, so copy the entire disk with windows task manager and put it back after you flashed KK2.
Odin can only be used with stock firmware, kernels or csc files, not custom files.
And try to read up about rooting, flashing and such things. There are threads enough around here.
Good luck

according to what I understood from you so far:
1 - I will reflash the Original stock rom KK2 by PC Odin
you said that KK2 will wipe my mobile and I should make a backup for my internal disk, So, Sorry to ask: what is this (windows task manager) and how to use it?
2 - I will root the KK2 same way I did last time
3 - I will flash the new update LA1 via Mobile Odin and it will keep my root and CWM
Does Mobile odin come in free or paid?

1. yes reflash KK2 using PC odin, I dont know wether KK2 is wipe version, if it is wipe, even you won't lose data on internal SD card, no meaning to take backup with window. If you want to backup your installed app + data, you must have Root.
alternatively you can choose non wipe version to reflash (e.g. KL3 india) it won't delete anything.
2. You have to Root Your relashed ROM (you can find how to Root guide on my signature)
3.Mobile Odin Pro is paid. Dont want to pay for mobile Odin Pro/ unable to purchase it, you can get Root + CWM, then update LA4 using CWM ( you may get installation guide link from my signature)
I will recommend to read all 4 links(first 2-3 post) on my signature, you will find answer of most of your questions
what if i tried to root my new ROM (LA1) using doomlord rooting kit, failed, and then downgrade it to KL3?
can i still use the doomlord easy rooting kit?
i tried this few times yesterday, but it still won't get rooted.
Ok, I reflashed by PC Odin my original stock rom KK2, and it was not wipe, I found everything is intact
But when I tried to root + recovery like before, did not work although I get on the screen (all done) but after reboot no root or CWM
I reinstalled Kies but still alot of errors when trying to do the rppt only or root+CWM
What should I do?
is there any way that I can wipe my phone and start as fresh as I can? what I did is :
boot to recovery and chooses wipe cache partition and Factory reset, it is all or there is something else can be done?
Edit : The wipe did it, and I have root and CWM now

Turn off your antivirus temporarily as it removes some components of your rooting tool which causes the error message.

Yes you can use doomlord method after downgrade.
check USB debugging on, close any PC sync SW, close Firewall, close antivitus. Try another PC.

Have you noticed any differences from your older firmware?
All I can see is a new layout in the contacts app.
Can you share a photo about new contact ui? Thx

Quite interesting. I currently have my phone with the firmware G800FXXU1ANG7 rooted by using cf-auto-root-sm_g800f-kminilte-xxu1ang7.tar.md5 as suggested in this post and I'd like to upgrade to G800FXXU1ANJ2. Could you please tell me whether to do it the following steps are correct?
Download the firmware G800FXXU1ANJ2 from sammobile (question: which one should I download? I am in France but not with SFR)
Install it by following the standard instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
Root the device by using cf-auto-root-sm_g800f-kminilte-xxu1ang7.tar.md5 with the same file and instructions of this post namely
Download Mode: (VolDn+Home+Power, VolUp)
Odin PDA (AP): cf-auto-root-sm_g800f-kminilte-xxu1ang7.tar.md5
Auto Reboot
Last question: is it advisable to end the installation process by installing TWRP as indicated in this post instead of reflashing the original stock recovery as suggested in the rooting instruction?
Thank you in advance
@castagna
The tools for rooting and recovery are working only in .....ANG7 firmware.
I tried update firmware ......ANJ2 and I was constricted to reinstall ......ANG7 to use root and recovery.
Hi. I am rooted and received update notification Over the air. If i update what will hapen? Only loose root? Will it update without problem?
No root for anl1?
Flash the original CF Auto Root from Chainfire with Odin.

Tried to update ota but it does not install. I get error.should i remove root before via su?
Yes you have to remove Root over SuperSu.
If you have a Custom Recovery (TWRP) flash also the original Recovery.
Now you can download OTA.
During Installation, it could also fail with error String.
This happens if you have previously changed many Things in the System.
I've made two Updates. The first went through well.
In ANL1 it has always stopped at about 30%.
When that happens you can flash the complete Firmware via Odin
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G800F
Look at the correct Version for your Country or Carrier.
Thanks. With complete Flash it will erase all data?

Check and follow THIS
If you decide to download the AU ROM for N910G (which works great for other regions), you can easily root it by flashing the permissive kernel for the N910F.
AU ROM thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/sm-n910g-lollipop-5-1-1-released-t3215823
N910F kernel thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/kernel-5-1-1-selinux-enforcing-t3190799
So in short:
Download the ROM and flash via Odin.
Download the latest TWRP and flash via Odin. It will also install SuperSU.
Flash the kernel via TWRP (ensure you copy it to your external SD in advance).
That's all! You end up with a rooted N910G that is smooth and a far cry from the laggy monster that was 5.0.1!
Worked great! Thanks!!
Works perfect on 910G thanks.
Is it true that after flashing TWRP, when the phone switches off & on, quickly press 'buttons' for recovery and flash the new 2.49 SuperSU app.zip instead of letting TWRP install it as TWRP installs an old superSU & is outdated... ??

I presume this still trips knox?
Those who have warranty and don't want to trip knox, I don't think there is any root method available. All root methods trip knox and hence warranty issue, for those who don't have warranty they can forget knox.
Warranty doesn't concern me, I use the phone for work and tripping Knox would stop the phone working on the work network.
But it sounds like this will trip it, so yeah I'm not going to.
Thanks though.

hi welcome guys..
here is the link for stock recovery of samsung galaxy s5 sm-g900f lollipop.. incase you may need it
if you got a bootloop while rooting or got stucked on boot logo simply flash this recovery to get your phone boot back to normal without loosing your datas or without doing a full firmware flash
guide
Get your phone in to download mode (volume down+power+home)
download the file attached
flash it via odin in AP of odin (for latest odin)
Flash it in PDA of odin (for older versions of odin)
Note: This is strictly only for sm-g900f variant of s5.. do not flash this to any other variant of s5

Thanks for including that line, because I am dumb enough to try it on my sm-g900p. Any idea where I could find the stock recovery image for the sm-g900p?

Flashing the .TAR file in ODIN does NOT delete your data, I have owned many upon many various Samsung Devices.. Flashing the .TAR.MD5 updated your device and retains all DATA.. You just have to reflash a custom recovery and inject root again..

You could go to your local humane society and adopt a service animal "Just in Case"
You can flash a TAR file via odin and your Data will be safe, including internal storage..
Your system partition will be the only thing that will change..
I do this several times a day while trying out versions of my custom ROMs.. No damage will come to your data..
If you don't warn them, they will get in trouble if they flash a wrong rom. And then, where to find data? Good or bad, "Just in case" is a best thing that everyone in this forum always does.
