Hi,
One of the thing I do not like with the i9000 is the stupid fact that the micro-usb connector
is located on the top of the device, basically because my car charger is or too short, or seems to be "almost broken" when dock it to the upper side of the device.
What i want to do is to put the device up-side-down in my car holder, so the connectror
will be at the bottom, but I need a solution that can flip all the apps by 360 degree...
Is that solution available? something that force the change for all the apps? so the home button will be on top of the device?
Thanks,
Tomer
i'm loooking for the same thing, nothing yet
The Tab can rotate 360 degrees, so it should be possible to do on the SGS too. 2.2 should enable it, though I doubt it..

seems like it can be done , bit over my head though.
Would love to see that done to the Galaxy S, because it would make it really easy to build a custom dock (want to have sth. like a long bench for my PSP alongside with the Galaxy S and maybe my Sansa e250, would be made out of Aluminium with the Charging Connectors fixed into place, maybe by buying secondary USB Cable and Charger to make it into one Cable so that the Phone charges everytime but also can with the same Cable be connected to PC, some sort of Hybrid thing.)
Hi All,
I was taking apart my LTE S3 to fix some water damage and in the process managed to rip the connector off the PCB that connects to the thin wire that runs up the side of the phone. I have searched around and it looks like this is the wifi antenna ? (But not too sure).
As the small connector has been ripped off, it doesn't look like there is any terminal left on the board to resolder it back to. However, I've noticed there looks like there are two larger connectors on the board. What are the chances that I could use either of these ? If so how would i do it, is the antenna just a single connection (the inner or outer part of the connector) ?
Any help will be much apprciated.
Thanks.
Search for the SGS3 Teardown .

there is a TPS 65200 IC on the board
it's located on the same side of the lcd connector, under the shilding,
if you look at the board with the battery connector towards the top, you can see on the right the si reader, in the middle the samsung memory chip,
on the left of the memory chip - you see a coil that says 100 on it, that's the backlight coil, and right next to it, to the left is the backlight IC.
i would start with the coil before trying to reball the IC.
thank you

Hi,
Same problem here.
In the green zone, the "coil" but as you can see in the red zone there is a kind of glue or something that melted. Do you have the same thing?
How can I replace the "coil" then ?!!
It is pulling up and I want to know if there is any chance I can reattach it? It is the side where the front camera is located. It doesn't appear that it is held down with any screw like on the other side. Any suggestions other than taking it all apart and replace with new?
Hi there!
Anybody knows what are those lateral contacts from the left side of the phone?
See attachment...
Its connector for magnetic charging cable... Google it ?
