Extract the contents. Inside will be another .zip. Extract that one, too. Inside folder will be all the latest .img files. MMB29S is the latest.

Thanks so much

You can't without a pc..
How do you install it?
Using fast boot. There's a guide for that somewhere on the internet. All you have to do is search.
Any1 can make a flashable zip? For those of us who aren't near a computer right now and wanna flash it right now. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I'll wait for a flashable zip.

I find it interesting they don't have the JOP40D 4.2.1 image out there anymore but they still have the JZO54K build. I wonder why.
The OTA update came already, but failed due to something changed in build.prop, but have no idea what. GRRRR...
I'm annoyed. I am stuck on JOP40D ... the flashable zip of JDQ39 continues to fail...I don't know what's not stock in my build.prop. I think I'm going to have to do a full wipe and re-install stock ROM image before I can upgrade to 4.3
Might just wait for a flashable zip because I'm lazy that way
IM trying to root it now

any luck?
i tried thru the Nexus toolkit...no luck that way//did get twrp installed and it seems to be permanent
Anyone wanting to install this without knowledge of ADB or Fastboot; Assuming your device is Unlocked
THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DATA, BACK UP YOUR DATA FIRST.
1. Download Nexus Toolkit Here ---> http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Galaxy-Nexus-Root-Toolkit-Download-213077.html
2. Configure it, install drivers, test drivers under "initial setup"
3. Download the 4.3 image here ----> https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#nakasi
4. In Nexus Toolkit under "Flash Stock + Unroot" tick "Device is on/Normal"
5. Pick "OK"
6. Tick "Other/Browse"
7. Under Choice; Tick "I downloaded a factory image myself that i would like to use instead."
8. Pick "OK"
9. Browse for your TGZ file you downloaded off the Google site in my case i have the Nexus 7 Wi-Fi 32GB so my file
name is "nakasi-jwr66v-factory-d341d356.tgz"
10. Go to the Developer website and copy the md5 hash listed under the 4.3 section.
11. Let it do its thing
12. wait 5 - 10 minutes after flash to let it boot. takes a bit.
How i got root: Keep in mind this is a very silly workaround. (keep in mind this is a very early workaround, and expect problems during the process)
I wouldn't attempt this if you don't know what you are doing. I am not responsible if you break something.
1. Download this file and put it on the device first http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43909148&postcount=3070
2. In Nexus Toolkit Use the Root function, tick "install custom recovery" (this is how you will get recovery) TWRP
3. Let it do its thing fallowing all the instructions, if you are boot looping on a step, disconnect the device and hard reboot by holding the power button. The SuperSU that the toolkit installs doesn't work, this will work after using the zip we are about to flash.
4. Once completed, boot into recovery and flash "SuperSU-JWR66N-S005-130625-1.41.zip"
5. Reboot (Cwm users, you need to uncheck the option to "disable stock recovery flash", if it shows up.,)
6. Voila, Root and Custom recovery.

Help: Need Correct Stock Recovery to Update to Lollipop

Hello,
I currently have the Wind Mobile M7 5.0 (7.17.1500.8) Lollipop update waiting for me and I'm trying to find the correct stock recovery so that the update will successfully install. I'm running into red triangles so far. My current software is 4.4.2 (5.11.1500.8). Details of my phone are that it's currently S-Off, CID-Globa001, and Radio-4A.20.3263.16.
Can someone point me to the right stock recovery image?
Thanks,

take the one out of the update, download the update to your phone, select install later, plug your phone into the computer and copy the OTA to your computer, its just a zip file, its in the internal storage/downloads folder, open it with WinRAR, 7 zip, winzip, whatever it is you use, inside there you will see another zip called firmware.zip, open that and pull out recovery.img, flash it with fastboot then try and update again.

[Q] Updete Nexus 6 to newer build

I have Verizon Nexus 6 which came with LMY47E system but as it is well known LMY47I is now officially available. but with older radio. I'm already unlocked and rooted and have latest version of TWRP recovery installed instead of stock recovery. So my question is can I extract system.img and flash using TWRP install option and get newer system but keeping original radio and user data without data wipe? Should I wipe any cashe before flashing to avoid possible problems?
Anything else I should flash to make sure I will be able to use phone without problems while keeping root and unlocked bootloader or i will have to do unlocking and rooting again? Any help is appreciated
Fastboot flash system and boot and you'll be good.

Thanks for quick reply. So I can't use TWRP recovery? Flashing boot will not wipe root and bootloader?
It's a lot easier to just flash system and boot in fastboot. Flashing system will erase root but after you flash system and boot go directly into recovery and flash Su.

That's exactly how I understand and that's why I"m asking if it's possible to do the upgrade using TWRP recovery by flashing just one IMG file at a time in specific sequence and than restarting the phone while still keeping current radio and data plus SuperSU at the end
You can't flash the IMG files in twrp. You'll need to use fastboot. Just flashed whichever files you need. I usually flash everything but recovery and then just reroot. Takes about 10 minutes.

[Q] Nexus 6 build number change

When I received a OTA Update . so I wanted to unroot and install the OTA Update , so using RTM I flashed factory image . successfully I was running a factory nexus 6 and waiting for OTA update , but it didn't arrive . but then I realized my build number has changed to LMY47I
I NEED TO GO BACK TO TMOBILE BUILD NUMBER LMY47M .
Anyone that can help me through getting LMY47M back would be greatly appreciated because my nexus 6 is on payment plans and will eventfully be traded in .

Well After downloading nesscary files android toolkit , and factory images . it kept failing when I did adb>reboot boot loader / Flash all after opening cmd in the toolkit file
What I ended up doing was using NRT Nexus Root Toolkit v2.0.5
To flash the IMG with force flash enabled . but instead of letting it auto download the IMG that would put me back at LMY47I . imported the .zip file I got from google for 47M and wala . back to LMY47M . with 5.1.1 .. Thank you hope this helps someone else .

Factory image with custom recovery?

Hi everyone, so this isn't necessarily a Nexus 6 specific question but more of a Nexus question, I just currently own and use my Nexus 6 as a daily driver, hence why I'm posting in this thread. So you know how Nexus devices can be modified to run ROMs other than factory Google Android using custom recovery? Well I was wondering if the same can be done with Google Nexus factory images through a custom recovery. I've searched for this question everywhere and can't find any sources. The closest I found was that you can flash the whole factory Nexus image through a desktop terminal and android sdk tools, but what if I was to pull only the bootloader, boot, and system images, then using a custom recovery wipe all partitions except internal storage and flash these pulled images from the factory Nexus image for the respective Nexus device. Would this result in a soft brick or would it actually install the factory Nexus image. And if it won't work this way, why not. What makes the factory Nexus images different from custom ROMs in terms of installation. I know flashing those images using terminal commands via a desktop is the go to way to flash between factory Nexus images manually, but what about doing this without the assistance of a desktop or laptop? Is that possible. If not then why not?
you can only flash any of the .img files via fastboot, while youre in the recovery. twrp can flash boot.img files(kernels), but thats it.
