I really liked concept of watch face in Android weares.
Specifically some custom images behind clock.
So i thought i should have that type of clock on OPO home screen having custom faces with real clock showing date, time etc, but i can't find any clock widget having such facility ( correct me if there is any one).
Its my crazy mind to do something different someone may like or not but i want to shareWhats u need
1)PIP CAMERA ( Google play)
2)minimal clock widget ( Google Play)
3) some crazy mind to experiment
> go to PIP CAMERA >go to magzine tab> and place any picture u want to put in your watch> save it
> now edit that picture using photo editor and give it some dark shade or vintage look so u r clock widget on it looks clearly
> now go to home screen give the grid size to 7*7. And put u r newly created picture on it.
> new go to widgets and select minimal clock widget( u can use any clock widget but its should fit in to our image here u can use u r crazy mind to do something new)
>Thats it u have now awsome clock on u r screen having clock face u can just change u r pip camera image on screen and u r watch face get changed as per u r image
And don't forget to share u r expriments

how do i get my picture to fill the whole screen of galaxy s? i can't seem to be able to do so. IF only i can have the option of not selecting the 'selecting box'
What exactly do you mean by fill the whole screen?
You could always resize your images to 1440x800 (normal resolution is 480x800, so triple it and it should work nicely for 3 homescreens)
The problem is I can't even make a 480 x 800 picture my wallpaper. Because of the selection box that only captures a fraction of that 480 by 800 picture

Hei, u can resize the crop box by touch the frame n drag it.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
my image size is already 480 by 800 and yet the crop box appears. I know dragging it at its side enlarges it. I want the crop box to not appear. so my cropped wallpaper is only a fraction of my original picture
How do I do that?
The screen shows 480x800 at a time but requires a 960x800 wallpaper..
Id be willing to donate a reasonable amount to an application that can properly resize and make the wallpaper non sliding and it does not crap out the image quality!

i think u r just lucky... there is a live wallpaper by the name of droid x live paper or something it has an droid eye .. now here when u apply that in the settings u have to select the desired background.. lightning type- none, choose eye - none.. show particles- un tick this... and you are good to go.. now you have a wallpaper that wont move when you move the screens ... and if you know how to edit images.. make an image with the size 960 x 800.. but it will only show the first half ie 480x800 so keep ur image on the first half of the image..... i have attached a few wallpapers which i created may be you can understand what i m saying by looking at it... and i have also attached the apk file of the live wallpaper( this apk is not the full version , u can buy it from the market if u like it)
I tried playing around the phone last night and I can't find how to change the clock. Mine is now : http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2011/02/mwc2011htcincredibles23.jpg (on the right) and I want to change it to something like this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064833 (the first post).
Any idea how to?
Or even better, how do I change themes?
Sorry, newbie here.
It's under Personalize (The right icon on the dock which looks like a paint thingy forgot what its called).
For themes, it's under skins, for the clock, it's under widgets. (when you select clock, slide for the various different clocks)
At the request of a number of people, here's a little tutorial explaining how I made the theme below, I called abstract theme (do not ask me why ...)
(Note that I am not the inventor of this type of theme, I am inspired by many themes I have seen on other forums, I thank very much the creators of wallpapers I used (I never remind theyre names except EG Fox, sorry for that))
These examples where created for the Dell Streak but this guide can be used for every android phone, just use the good resolution for the wallpaper
1/ So, to start, install Launcherpro (you can also take the "plus" but paying)
2/ Adjust the settings you prefer (this is only the parameters related to the theme I present now, but there are other possible parameters):
- Number of pages, the default page, the number of columns, the number of lines (to position your shortcuts, personally I have 8 columns and 8 rows) => Menu / Settings / Homescreen Settings
- Number of dock (the dock is the Quick Launch bar that is located right in landscape mode, you have 5 possible shortcuts in one dock and it is possible to have up to 3 docks (to slide up or down on the dock) => Menu / Preferences / Dock Settings (you can also specify, if you choose to put shortcuts telephone, email and sms on the dock, if you want to be displayed a count of unread events)
- The bottom of the Dock (in the theme as an example, I have no background) => Menu / Preferences / Appearance Settings / Dock Background / None (if you want to put a custom dock by you or found on the net, then you must choose "Custom" and pick the dock from your SD card)
3/ Choose your screen and resize it at 800x480. So that the bottom is not distorted, use Multipicture Live Wallpaper which allows you to set a different wallpaper per page (if desired). Multipicture Live Wallpaperr is managed as an animated wallpaper
The bottom will not be distorted but the 36 Pxls top will be hidden by the notification bar.
4/ Then you need to know, based on the number of rows and columns you have chosen, where you must place your text on the wallpaper. To do so, complete page fully of shortcuts. Then made a screenshot, I recommend the excellent ScreenShot
5/ On your PC, using your editing software (photoshop, photofiltre ... etc.) you can have your wallpaper nude and the screen as it will be on your Streak with the location where applications will be.
So place your text on your nude background by ensuring that these areas are easily covered by applications..
Your wallpaper is ready !
6/ Now install Desktop Visualizer, which allows you to put shortcuts transparent (especially)
(For those who could not find it on the Market : http://www.partage-facile.com/GYV6DGY6CW/jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr.apk.html )
7/ Desktop Visualizer works as a widget : long press on background / add a widget and choose desktop visualizer (it has different sizes, choose the one that best fits the space you have planned for your shortcut)
DV lets you choose the icon of the application to launch, get the transparent icon on your SD card (if you do not have a transparent icon, here's one : http://www.partage-facile.com/0GJIEOUAO0/transparent.png.html )
Then select the application you want to start.
Delete the text of the application and confirm (you can change or remove the highlighting that appears when you press the link to the application you're using, otherwise it will be orange)
8/ Once you've validated, you see nothing changed on the screen, it is normal because you have placed a transparent icon ! The link will always be placed to the top left corner of your home. Make a mong press along the top left, your widget will be highlighted by launcherpro.
You may notice a kind of tab in the lower right corner of your shortcut, by pressing and holding down while moving your finger, you can resize your widget as you like.
So give the desired size for your shortcut and press "back", the highlight disappears. Now made a long press on the top left of the streak and held down, move your widget transparent to the place you want on your home. (To verify that it is well positioned, have a long support for and release to highlight it)
Do this for each shortcut you provided on your screen.
9/ The last step is the Dock. You've already put in the dock transparent, but it remains the shortcuts on the dock that are visible.
Make a long press on shortcuts, you can either change an icon (change icon/custom icon) or change the shortcut and put any you want and you can still choose the transparent icon before finalizing this shortcut.
Then, I think I pretty much said it all. To summarize, here is my wallpaper ith some details :
This is obviously a simple example that you described above some customization capabilities. Unleash your imagination and make us great themes!
I hope I was clear about (and sorry for my english), do not hesitate if you have questions or additions
Some other example of themes done with this method :
My latest :
I compiled my wallpapers and you can download them (empty and modified) here (updated with the 3 latest) : http://www.partage-facile.com/O87TRUWWBJ/compil_theme.zip.html

nice home screen ...
but i can't download your wallpaper, can you upload to another
never thought about writing the text to the background, brilliant.
although wouldn't this cause issues with more then one homescreen?

No issue with more than one screen, just use multipicture live wallpaper to choose wich wallpaper you want for each screen.

So .. After hella long time that I didnt theme I came back themeing and im stuck with stupid tiny problem ...
I'm trying to set up a wallpaper (.PNG) 800X480 as my homescreen wallpaper and it just wont work ...
the Orange square that chooses the wallpaper is tiny :
Like that ^
When choosing a wallpaper not from the gallery but from the Themes apps it works .. ( also 800X480 , PNG )
No idea what to do O_O
800 x 480 would be landscape wouldn't it? Both these images are portrait.
Maybe upload the files and we can see if we can set them on our phones.

The image you are trying to set via the gallery is not the default size for wallpapers for a 480x800 device - should be 960x800 if you'd like to use the gallery to set your wallpaper for you.
Or...you can use an alternative wallpaper setting app like Super Wall Lite - allows any image to be set as background, from one frame's width (480) to a panorama (the sky's the limit - - - or MultiPicture wallpaper, which allows for an image to be used on each screen independently. Both free on the market and have different transition effects, can help kill wallpaper gradients, etc.
Hello,
I am looking for an Samsung galaxy s2 or s3 lockscreen for our LG O2x.
I have searched on google but i dont found anything :-/
Maybe anyone can help me or can port one...

Friend, we don't have the framework of that lockscreen.. I guess the percentage of success is 1% out 100% unfortunately..
Hmmm thats really bad hope in any time we can get it
Well its possible to use an other lockscreen as the lg lockscreen?
(i want to change it via root)
Any other lockscreen that i can use, like cm 9 lockscreen or any other?
We can use the ICS stock..
Procedure:
1)Go to /system.
2)Open build.prop
3)ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true -> Change this to
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false..
Save it and restart the device! You are done!
Yep will try this, thanks my friend :good:

ok u will first need to download Widget Locker from Play store (u need to buy this) (or get it the pirated way) ( your decision, but to support the developer(s) please buy it
then u will need to download the Samsung galaxy s3 dandelion live wallpaper by wasabi
then chose the live wallpaper as default one, remember to go to options and checkmark: flying seed, touch, water droplet and touch dragged
open up the widget locker app and delete all the widgets except the clock, long touch till u see edit, choose that, go to background color and drag the slider all the way to the right so it gets transparent, then scroll down to the owner info line 1 and delete the text
go back to the widget locker screen again, long press and chose custom slider,
then press get themes, this will open the browser, then scroll down to the Invisible Tabs chose that, this will open a Complete action with window, chose widgetlocker, it will download, take down the statusbar, u will see the download press on it, it will open widget locker, your invisible theme is now chosen
then slide the right slider to the left and chose disable
then slide the left slider to the right go to icon, chose gallery then chose the blank image provided by me down below you now have a blank slider, then press done,
this will you back to the widget locker app, then long press and chose application, do this 4 times and chose the applications u want there
this icons are gonna stay at the bottom of the lockscreen, and you want the invisible slider to be right over them
And that's how u make a look alike Samsung galaxy s3 lockscreen
