Stuck at padlock screen then reboots into recovery

i have a note 3 that is boots up to the unlocked padlock screen gets stuck there then boots into recovery mode. it even gets stuck in like a bsod mode where i cant see nothing or get it to respond to buttons. the only way I can is if i open it up and disconnect all ribbons(havent tried pinning pointing one yet) after i do that and reconnect them i can get the phone in download mode or recovery mode. i tried the restore with title wifi fix. to no avail. the only thing i know about this phone is supposedly it was working then they guy tried to do the update since then stuck. he said he sent it to samsung and they wouldnt fix it because it supposedly had a custom rom flashed. which im sure it had something done because of the unlock padlock/bootloader sign. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Brother !!
This same thing happened to me!!
I looked everywhere for an easy solution BUT THERE IS NONE !! Yet.
The reason why is because there are no easy "Odin back to stock files" yet is because at&t is a fn a-hole and locked the bootloader !!
I brikt my shıt about 4 days after I brought it home from costco.
I combed through the interwebs for the 48 hrs straight like a mad tweaker!! because of course this is our 800 dollar babies we're talking about !!
I kept getting the same error message as you are mentioning about the kies update connect your pc blah and so I tool it back to costco and played dumb and said that I got a notification to update and clicked ok and it did some stuff and "now its stuck on this screen with some error??" .. the lady at the kiosk looked it up and down and said someone else had come in last week with the same error message . LoL !!
I walked out of there with a brand new baby !!
Maybe you can do the same thing? Just hoping you are within your return timeframe.
your last but definitely not last worst case scenerio option is to stick your sim card in another phone and wait till someone from our awesome family here finds away around/through that damn bootloader and drops the beautiful Odin+files to give new birth to your 5.7 beast of an angel !!
Hope this helped in any sort of way. Good luck dear Brother!!
Please let us know how it goes. I think there are many brothers on here in the same predicament.

[Q] Stuck at verizon boot screen after editing someting in /system/etc

Hi guys, I'm new here and I think I just messed somethin up.
I just rooted my G2 verizon last night but didn't install a custom recovery, just some apps and xposed.
Was tinkering around in xposed a bit and making a few changes to the statusbar etc while listening to some music. I realized the music was way too low and when i'm out in public i can barely hear it on my headphones, so i searched up an article that walks you through steps to boost the volume:
hxxp:// opensourcegangster .com/blog/2014/3/23/android-sound-mod-boost-speaker-and-headphone-volume
basically followed the steps in here, edited the XML and then powered down to reboot.
now the phone just gets stuck at the verizon screen forever. i get passed the LG logo. then verizon logo continues to animate and never freezes up, but i've left it on for 20+ minutes and the thing just wont get past the verizon logo. i'm thinking this can be resolved by clearing some sort of cache but i dont have a custom recovery installed. i even got lazy and decided to bite the bullet and just do a hard reset, but when i do, i see the little android logo, and then the lg logo, and then back to the verizon logo.
have no idea where to go from here
halp.
U will have to flash back to stock. Unfortunately u will loose all pics and files on your phone since this will wipe everything.

I am having a similar issue. Verizon G2, rooted months ago. I haven't done anything unusual lately.
Today, while using Chrome, the phone freezed and rebooted in a few seconds. Everything back to normal.
But then at night, after it is done charging, I noticed the phone freezed again. I picked up the phone and there were no response - black screen with green indicator light (I think it means charge complete). So I long pressed the power button. But then the boot ended at Verizon logo. I can see the Verizon logo animation but it remains there forever. Any way to recover?
Please help. I am hoping to recover some photos from my phone...

stuck on bootloader

Hey guys..so my moto x gen 2 whent on the blink a month ago the same day google did there ota update..
called motorola and made me go thru tons of combinations to restore it..
it seems like there is a corrupt image..so sent it out for repaire..
telus says that there is a broken chip and charged me 150$...
so refused since the phone is almost new and looking new also..
sent it to a local ubreakifix...they say they scanned the phone has nothing broken at all it is firmware related but only moto can flash it...
so called moto and complained..lol they gave me a pre-paid pkg to there repaire center,,(furture tel)..
got the phone back not repaired saying tampered boot [email protected]#$%%
i know that the web site says the warrantie is voided when boot loader is unlocked..but even the 3 reps from moto and telus never mentioned it...
so long story short it is not repaired and woundering if there a way to recover, flash or what ever..
1-tried the volume up power combos.gets to recover recovers but does not reboot.
2 -went thru all features one by one and still does not reboot...
This is why I don't bother rooting mine. There seems to be too many issues with these phones that you just never know when you'll be required to return them for a warranty repair.
true never again..sticking to my Samsung...i just want to repair it for my son..

Moto X 2013 DE (GSM) will not turn on

As I am visiting my parents, my mother hands me her phone and says turn it on. I did all the normal hold down the power and volume down buttons for 15 secs all the way to 3 minutes, hoping to be greeted with the bootloader screen. I never was.
I have had the phone plugged into various wall chargers, and the phone vibrates every 1 minute i would say. The vibrating was taunting me so i unplugged it, and it still vibrated every minute or so. So i decided to try and charge it form a laptop, vibrating continues. I figured well lets see what happens when i try to boot into the bootloader while plugged into pc. I was surprised to hear that a devices was connected. On PC i entered the fastboot devices command and it is listed as connected (T070600102C). Only device connected so I know it is the moto x. I tried the reboot, and reboot bootloader command hoping to see the screen turn on, it never did. At this point I am stuck.
She said the device was not drained when it happened and was about 60% battery.
It was recently updated to android 5.1.1 a few days ago. The bootloader was never unlocked, nor were any system files tampered with or rooting.
I left the phone stock for her, and got her the dev edition to be able to fix any problems that may arise, but I do not know where to go from here.
I was going to try and flash the factory image but motorola does not have the 5.1.1 system images available for download
EDIT- the vibrating occurs every 40 seconds when not in the bootloader.
I'm wondering if maybe the battery has become defective and iff replacing the battery would solve this issue?
Please any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
I should also mention i purchased this device from motorola, on july 22 2014, thus being out of warrenty
I also need to ask this because i can;t remember. This moto X was on 5.1.1 if I attempt to flash the latest image available form motorola (MOTO X, GSM Dev Edition:
L-5.1-LPA23.12-15 (Retail) LMR1) which is older, will there be any problems? I requested the download form moto so it will be awhile before I get it. Just concerned if there are any issues from fastboot recovering from 5.1.1 to 5.1.
I should also note that the phone seems to respond well to fastboot commands. I was able to get OEM unlock data code, and may try to install 5.1
wow nothing?
I would certainly try mfastbooting the latest image. But since it is stock, go ahead and try to see if Motorola will help you. Just because it's out if warranty doesn't mean that they won't help you.

moto x 2013 doesnt have 5.1.1. Go ahead and flash 5.1 and you will get it back to life.

Mi Unlock stuck on 99%

Its been stuck on this for about an hour, anyone else had this problem, is it normal, do I need to wait longer?
Nope. It takes max 30 seconds to unlock. Mine took 10 seconds. Clean flash again and then try and see if it works this time.

Same happened to me. You have to go to Development options → Mi unlock status and then at the bottom theres is the option “assign to account” or something like that. Once you check it you can try unlocking again. I had to wait 72 hours since I marked the option till I could unlock it, though.
