Does it works on a stock rom?

[Q] Possible Brick, help needed

I have the Xperia Z unlocked bootloader, have used both CM Roms and Custom stock roms on 4.3
Lately I was using a 4.4 custom stock ROM, I wanted to change to a CM rom again, so I backed up everything, did a nandroid backup, and cleaned everything from my phone.
I installed ParanoidAndroid, worked well.
Then I cleaned again and installed DirtyUnicorns ROM, worked well as well.
Then cleaned and installed PAC ROM, it also worked well, however at one point my phone froze (randomly), and I had to force-reset (Volume-UP + Power- one vibration)
And now my phone doesn't boot, SOMETIMES i see a red LED
I cannot go into fastboot mode, no blue LED
I cannot go into flash mode, no green LED (i think)
Flashtool says device connected though, without USB debugging
If I connect the charger, I get the red led + 3 vibrations, sometimes it keeps going on in a loop
Battery was at 97 percent when phone froze
Is there any way to get it working? At least so I can access recovery
Some help please!
The phone is connected as USB input device :/
I regularly use fastboot, and also have flashed ftf using flashtool in the past, so I'm sure I have the correct drivers.
So you're tried flash mode or you just noticed that the led doesn't light up?

unreadable display after Flash to Safestrap 3.73 - what to do?

Dear all,
after rooting and flashing Safestrap 3.73 on my Motorola Droid 4 I have big display problems... All the rows are displayed very weird, like pixels are replaced and put in a new order.
You can see shades and colored areas, but it's impossible to recognize any font or proper geometric details.
The touchscreen navigation works normal, after having a working Droid 4 with 3.72 next to my broken one to check where to push on the screen.
But even with that, I dont have any sucess in flashing CM11.. I can't read the console so I don't know where the problem is. goign back to stock rom is also not working, it's in a endless loop.
Does anyone have any Idea how to get this to work? I would try Safestrap 3.72 (my friend uses this).. But how can I flash it?
Or how can I remote flash any firmware on my phone??? Its not recognized by my pc in Safestrap boot screen!
If I could redirect the display output (e.g. via hdmi) it could be possible
Thank you very much for your suggestions
Edit: You're sure you used droid 4 safestrap?

If you can not get to stock, you will need to flash stock firmware/XML with rsd lite

Hey sd_shadow,
thanks for your answer.
Yes, I'm sure I used the version for the droid 4.
Downloaded it from there: https : // goo.im/devs/Hashcode/maserati/safestrap
Hmm, but how to flash the firmware with RSD lite when the usb mode can't be activated? Or is there a way to establish a connection with the computer while in Safetrap?
Did some research, but didn't really find out more..
Thanks!

Charging device when switched off reboots to TWRP

Hey
I have a problem with my device; Whenever it is switched off and I plug the charger on it always boots to TWRP but it does not work- The touch screen doesn't work and pressing the power button locks it and cant swipe meaning I have to manually reboot it.
Thanks

There are a lot of other threads talking about this this problem is known, and there's no solution yet (we have to wait for official twrp support). The only solution for now is to reflash original recovery.img and get back to stock recovery

Thanks for this. To save starting a new thread do you know if there's a way to remove the red HTC boot text?

that shows only when you booting into recovery. the only way is to flash stock recovery
Oh, well, it's good to know I'm not the only one with this issue.
However, why should I flash stock recovery? I mean, there are no further issues, the phone still charges while in this state, and I can reboot it with my PC. There is one thing I'm worried about;
What if I turn off USB debugging? If I would end up in the "stuck recovery" after I have done so, would I be unable to get out?
And also, I think there is a possible fix.. Wouldn't it be possible to reboot the phone by just pulling out the battery and turning the phone back on? Yes I know, "battery is not removable" but I'm pretty sure it is, it always is. It's not going to be easy tho.

i don't see why you have to switch off your phone. theres a lot of options in stock rom like "do not disturb", "airplane mode" etc so you don't have to switch off.
It seems this problem happens when you reboot your phone while charging ( i never had problems) try to avoid that.
ps - i never switch off my phone and only reboot it if needed or maybe once a month. But thats me.

I never turn my phone off, but sometimes I can't charge my phone in time and the battery runs dry. See? I can't reboot at 0%, so I have to charge it a little. Now you could tell me that it still isn't a problem, since the phone still charges in recovery and I can use commands to reboot system.. sure, but I'm working on a way to prevent anyone from entering recovery or using adb-debugging or hard resetting my phone (from a distance, if phone is stolen). This would turn off adb-debugging, causing the phone to be stuck in recovery for ever, if it were to charge in off mode. I guess I'm the only one having a problem with the bug

oh, and are you saying that you never had this problem, as in, you tried charging it in off-mode and it worked just fine?

Hi: guess im one of the lucky ones who never had to deal with this.
You can remote reset your phone using Google device manager. You can ring, lock or erase phone and check last location.

I'm using avast since there are more options for rooted devices I'm well aware of the google device manager, but thank you anyway!
I'm using the Honor 7 with TWRP 3.0.2.0by paulobrien and Unofficial CM13 by papsi177 and having the same issue.
When charging while the device is turned off, it automatically boots into twrp. Does anyone have a solution? Are there other recoveries (except the stock recovery) which doesn't have this problem? Is it somehow possible to modify e.g. a file to have a nice charging animation instead?
It isn't that big issue, but it would be nice to solve this anyway...

I found that users phones and recovery gets different reactions.
When i tried cm12 i had that same "issue" but with cm13 i had the battery animation. Same thing with getting phone freeze when battery run out.
The best chance is to try different recovery versions and hope for the best.
That said, i only switch off phone when battery died on me.
im currently still with TWRP 2.7.1.0-20140802

I'll try to downgrade and see if my charging animation gets back ?
Try the new TWRP 3.0.2-0 from nightcore500. The freeze in charging only mode is fixed on his recovery

How can something go from broken to fixed without changing anything?

[Need Help] Dead Note9

The device started restarting all of a sudden, then the screen went to a skyblue color "similar to the download mode color".
The screen shows only this blue color.
Tried connecting the phone to odin just to see if the device id detected, it was.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If can get into recovery, try factory reset but everything in the phone will be erased.
Else as you mentioned still can be detected by odin, try to flash firmware.
Or try firmware recovery with smart switch, although I'm not sure whether it is supporting note 9 or not.

I tried flashing , didn't work, can't boot into recovery , the screen shows absolutely no text , just white or blue color.
Sounds like the MBR maybe corrupted and needs to be rebuilt.

Install Samsung Smart Switch on your computer and see if you can do Emergency Software Recovery using SS.
How long since you did the update ?.
Google problems faced by users after update. I saw a lot of people facing your kind of display and audio problems after the update.
Forget about your data. Take it to a Samsung service center and see if they can re-flash it. Better than you trying to re-partition it or load the wrong firmware. Or rebuilding the boot loader.
