Hello & Help
Windows updated on my X98 Plus and now I cant boot into android, No option to choose any more.
Apparently, the 10 home was a reinstall and not a true upgrade. and it was automatic...?
I think it wiped out my boot loader
I need help recovering android thx!
To help others,
Use the OTG (short) cable that came with your tablet to connect a keyboard.
Repeatedly press F7 when it looks like its going to start.
It should bring you to the American Megatrends BIOS.
There you can change the boot OS

As title states my phone is stuck in boot loop after last night when I tired to flash Venom ROM. I had been running Trickdroid ROM for over a year and decided to update the ROM last night but the installation was continuing to fail and I decided that I would tackle it again in the morning.
When I turned the phone on this morning, I attempted to boot into recovery - however the phone just decided to continue a boot loop sequence to which I am now stuck in.
I have read a number of threads and the best way to end this seems to be to erase the cache from fastboot. Due to being on Windows 8 now I reinstalled the sdk files needed and attempted to connect to the phone. However; Windows 8 is now seeing the phone properly and, when attempting to install the drivers, is coming up with a message saying "Device Failed Enumerication". I have attempted to install the drivers manually, as well as Win7 64 drivers, but it's not accepting them and therefor I cannot connect to my phone via the PC.
I pulled out my Windows 7 Disk to install this to the PC but, due to having a bluetooth keyboard; and no wired in sight, I cannot hit a key to enter setup - just to top off a great morning!
If anyone could help me get past this and back into clockwork I would be extremely happy.
From the bootloader menu the phone states that it's unlocked, using the original usb cable as well as a usb 2.0
Cheers.
Fastboot erase cache is really what you need to do. A lot of ppl have issues with Windows 8 and there are guides for it. If you still have problems go visit a friend who has Windows 7

OK thanks for the reply, going up to the shop just now to buy a cheap usb keyboard.
Hi All,
I have a Windows 8.1 Prestigio 8500 DUO phone which this morning had an update to test windows 10 mobile. This was possible as I downloaded the windows developer app from the Windows store which i assume installed a profile to allow the phone to receive development software.
The update was going fine until I reached the Windows 10 Mobile boot loop issue. I cant post a link but if you google Windows Mobile 10 boot loop there is lots of people with issues
I want to factory restore the phone back to fresh 8.1 but cannot find a way to get it to be detected by the Windows Phone Recovery Tool software.
I have tried hold Volume up + Down + Power until it reboots then after this I hold Volume up + down and I get the Lightning logo with the cog, this I believe is called Flash mode. IN this mode the computer pick it up in device manager with label WinUsb Device with hardware ID: USB\VID_045E&PID_062A&REV_0000. In this state the phone just stays in the lightning logo screen but still will not be detected by Windows Phone Receroveyr Tool or the Nokia Recovery suite.
Any help would be very greatly received.
Thanks
Chris

Hello all,
I have a Lenovo K3 Note. After my first setup and 3th reboot the phone keep showing the letters Lenovo and powered by Android (first screen).
I have tried the following things:
Factory reset
Hard reset
Full charge and let the phone trying to boot for 2 hours
STP tools http://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-note/general/ufficial-thread-lenovo-k3-note-t3102997
I have installed multiple drivers but WIndows 7 64 bit dont recognize the phone, maybe thats the reason STP tools dont see the phone. Installed pdanet but that didnt work
The phone is dont have any mod/Rom installed, usb debugging is also not enabled.
Does someone have any idea?
Thanks in advance!
PLEASE NOTE the tab will not do a factory reset, when I try that it tells me it has successfully erased all the data but when I reboot it it still comes up with the same screens as described below
Got a new S2 8 inch from Sprint but couldn't remember my password so I never activated it ... it worked fine. Great. No activation fee, no monthly access charge, no running up excess minutes accidently.
Truth is all I ever wanted was a pure WiFi tab to replace a Nexus 9. I just bought from Sprint because they were having a sale. Without activation I had exactly the tablet I wanted.
Than I got greedy ... decided to streamline performance by tossing out all the superfluous phone apps and system stuff ... this seemed to work well to ... or at least it did before I rebooted the phone. Now I get a black screen with a flashing red message: Kernel is not SE Android enforcing. Custom binary blocked by FHP block.
All this is Greek to me, but that aside when I try to boot up I get one of two options depending on what hard key compos I hold. One is an endless download loop, the other is the standard Android mini recovery boot page. Of all the options, the seemingly easiest delete cache and restore default system doesn't work. The other potentially useful items .... update from file, update via download, etc. require an ADB connection to work. I have tried to establish an ADB connection using many different cables on both a Win 19 and a Win 7 PC ... in each case I get the dread "wouldn't open Code 10) message .... I have tried it with specific adb drivers and generic ones ... the results are always the same.
A fw other tips, the Android System Recovery LMY47x.T817PVPS2A0L1 screen says:. in yellow at the bottom of the screen, dm-verification failed ... update from ADB blocked and gives similar messages under"apply update from external storage, and and apply update from cache
Meanwhile, back at the downloading loop page we are told:
ODEN MODE
DOWNLOAD SPEED : FAST
PRODUCT NAME SM T817P
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
FAP LOCK: ON
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox Warranty Void: ZERO
HP: SWHEV: B:2 K:8 S:0
So please, please, please does anyone have any idea what's going on here and how I can fix it ... would it, for example., be possible to reinstall the ROM and OS via a USB stick and OTR cable ... if so how would you do it .......
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Forgot to mention Samsung G6 phone connects to PC correctly through same cable ... Device Manager shows Code 10 message when nothing Android is connected to a USB port or when the S2 is connected does not show Code 10 and works perfectly when G6 is connected .... would it be possible to boot and restore the tablet via a USB stick and OTR cable? Thanks again
Hi, Guys, girls, men and women ... I'm not to proud to beg ... one of you must have an answer to this puzzle ... if you do and it works I'll use the my G6 to send you a video of me pushing a peanut around with my nose. Is there really no way to bot or restore this thing via a USB flash drive?
this seems like it could definitely help you
If you can boot into download mode (press volume down and home button as you power on the tablet. Continue holding the buttons down until you get the download warning message).
If successful, download the latest version of Odin to your computer. Also go to sammobile.com and search for your device in the firmware section. Download the appropriate firmware to your computer. You will also need the Samsung drivers for your device on your computer as well.
You should be able to flash it back to stock with Odin. There several threads on xda that give instructions on how to use Odin.
Hi everybody,
I spent my time to find a solution to install Windows 10 but without success...
I followed tutorials but i'm blocked at the moment where I select my key into the Bios (2.05) -> Boot override and nothing happens it flash quickly and I can select the key indefinitely.
Someone can help me ?
Many thanks.
Hi, there are a few key things you need to do to ensure proper recognition and install:
1. Windows must be 32bit (no connection to your issue just mentioning it, because 64bit install will brick your device)
2. Use Rufus tool to create a bootable drive and in the Partition Scheme menu choose GPT
If you do all of the above and your flash drive is not faulty, you should not encounter any issues
If you still do, try to turn off your device and turn it on by keeping the power + volume up buttons together to get the dual boot screen. From there you should be able to click on the windows icon if your flash drive is prepared correctly and the setup will start.
P.S. Silly quiestion but are you sure you have the dual OS bios?
Hi,
Step 1 already did but in the second step when I keep power + volume up nothing happens only booting.
I don't think I have the DualBios but I can't find the right files with a good tutorial.
Thanks
Hi, I did flash a dual os bios form c6j8 to my m5c5 (which now works fine with Windows 10 32bit), but you must understand you do that at you own risk and may cause you to brick your device.
This is the thread that explains how to flash the bios https://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/help/unbrick-bios-softbrick-withouth-eeprom-t3285054 and you can find the dual bios for c5j8 around the forum. If you can't I can zip mine and post them somewhere.
Hi,
I don't want to take this risk but thank You.
Do You have an idea if we can install Android 6.0 or 7.0 on this tablet ?
