Hi, I'm using Windows Phone 8, and I used Telegram in the browser. I know that messages can be recovered in plain text from the browser cache. I have a full EMMC dump, so I have full access to the entire filesystem, but I don't know where to look for these cache files. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Has anyone else noticed this? I cannot find any way to clear the download history of Androids built in browser since updating to Froyo.
From Browser [menu] > More > Downloads, [menu] no longer has an option to clear downloads, only "Cancel all downloads".
Clearing browsing history and cache doesn't do it either. They stay there no matter what I do.
Any ideas?
I was just wondering if you had figured out how to clear the downloads from that list, since I have run into the same problem.
Long pressing a file and selecting delete will remove the file from the downloads list. Obviously it also deletes the file.

That works, but as you say, not much use when it deletes the file too.
On the latest FRF72 this is still a problem, there doesn't seem to be any way to clear your download history. It's stuck there forever. Nice one Google
Go to manage applications select download manager and clear data
download history
Well this isn't an answer to the problem but more so a walk around. If you use a file manager to move the file to a sub folder it leaves your download history.
Froyo Browser - Clear Download History? PARTIAL SOLUTION
Hey,
I thougt I would share this information since i was going thru the same problem.
I am currently running 2.3.3 on T-Mobile G2:
1-Using AndroZip Pro File Manager go into Downloads folder and Delete the files.
2-Once files are deleted go back to the Browser, Menu, More, Downloads.
3-Long Press the file and it will tell you it did not find file so it will give you the option to Delete.
It worked for me.
Hope this Helps!
This has been happening for awhile and I know it happens to others. I believe it only happens when my phone is rooted (always happened if I kept my sdcard in while rooting).
Ive running offical froyo 2.2 rooted. Basically all my photos and videos (external sd) thumbnails become duplicated or even more. Theres still only 1 real image but gallery will display x3x4x5 of the same thumbnail. Does anyone know a permanent fix to this? Only way I've been able to resolve it is by deleting the thumbnail folders via my pc.
go to
settings
applications
manage applications, then touch "All" at the top of page.
scroll to Media storage and touch it
clear data and force close (clear cache may help too but I never had to do cache for this fix to work)
then reboot.
It should solve the problem.
or install SGS TOOLS from the market and apply the script ^clear_thumb_db.txt^
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Not work for me
Ressurection remix 2.1 on SGS2,when setup mms configuration and send mms, images duplicate in gallery ,cear data ,force close and reboot but problem not solved.
Any other solution?
PS. sorry for my bad english and thanks for answer
I tried to clear cache and delete data. But it didn't work as I have read in other forums from people with experience.
How do I do this?

i know This is related by Device maintenance but i can't disable auto delete my telegram chache
I have this persistent message "FIX NOW" in Device Maintenance. Free up to 9.5gb storage.
I tried cleaning several times but it keeps asking to clean 9.5gb. I also wiped cache partition but does solve the problem.

Perhaps these files are pics/videos syncing to an account like Facebook. Try turning off sync and see if the files come back? If they don't return, you should be able to narrow down where they are coming from. Also, the My Files app has a "Get more space" option in settings that will identify files and locations on your device. This may be helpful in identifying the culprits.
See if updating helps. It seems as if it wants to delete all your files there shown.View attachment 4613457

I identified the folder and deleted it. It was a folder I created for emulators with many games inside.
Not sure why it was seen as unnecessary files.
Sorted - Thanks
