I wonder if anyone else has this problem I'm having.
I had no problem tethering to my cell phone before I did the gingerbread update few days ago. I had to do the update manually with ODIN as I couldn't got the OTA update to work for some reason.
Now, the tab won't recognize my cell's ad hoc anymore. I tried to the same wpa_supplicant replacement that worked perfectly in foryo before, but it doesn't work now.
Anyone knows what seems to be the problem and how can I solve it?
all right, I just solve my own problem.
I just got a new wpa_supplicant file from here. It works.

Ok, I was at the stock Froyo 2.2 update yesterday and saw 2.3.5 GB and installed using ODIN. There's a couple of aggravating features, mainly every time I plug in via usb or AC, the tethering process crashes. I don't even use tethering and don't know how to disable this process.
Anyways, all I want to do is return to the stock AT&T froyo. I've tried several one click packages for ODIN to return to stock, I CAN get into download mode, but once its plugged into the PC it says its installing device drivers, then it always fails. I tell Windows to search, and of course it can't find any.
How can I get this to work again, all I want is my 2.2 back

I am experiencing headphones detection problem with my Xperia Z1. Headphones are correctly detected first time after reboot. If I try to plug them in after that phone doesn't detect them any more (external speaker is used even after I've plugged them in).
I contacted Sony support and they suggested it might be Smart connect. I cleared it's cache. Didn't help. I disabled/removed it. Didn't help either. I downgraded to an older ROM (don't remember if it was 4.2 or 4.3) and it worked as expected. Then I downloaded fresh .ftf of latest rom. Same problem re-appeared. Tried with Kit Slim custom ROM (based on 4.4) and experienced same problem.
It is obviously a SW problem. Is there any app which would allow me to manually direct sound to either destination? I have SSH server running on my phone. Is there any way to do this via shell? Any API call that I could utilize? I have no experience with Android dev but I am SW engineer and I think I could implement a simple app like this if someone would point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
it's definitely something with smart connect. had the same issue some days ago...... unistalled smart connects updates and installed them again -> works!
Tried that already. Didn't help
I contacted Sony support again and they suggested to try PC Companion's repair feature. What will that do? How that relates to the fact I'm running a rooted custom kernel?
Thank you!
hm try to flash .157 with flashtool. after that flash trinity kernel via flashtool and fastboot -> should work like charm dont forger to save your data before that I did the same and it worked for me
Where could I download that?
Hey guys,
I rooted my HTC One m7, so that it could connect to the Bluetooth speaker system in my car, as it doensn't usually support rSAP. Because of the root I wasn't somehow able to install updates, so I tried almost every method I could find on the internet and finally got so far, that I crashed it completely.
I was abnormally able to flash a firmware, without having unlocked security (S-On). I've read on many differnet websites, that I shouldn't have been able to get so far. Therefore my operating system doesn't fit the firmware anymore and the device doesn't start anymore. It's currently flashed to CWM recovery, so I'm able to sideload ROMs.
Right now, I haven't found any ROM that would work with the firmware, which I'm not able to flash to a later version anymore. Does any of you guys have a ROM (or know a website where you can find it) that works with firmware 5.11.401.10? Or do you know any method without turning off Security to bring the device back to factory reset version?
Thanks for your help anyway!
Today I received a notification from supersu pro that I needed an update. After it installed it requested a restart. After restart, there was no connection to cell service nor could I turn the radio on in network settings nor were there any settings registered. I was however able to connect using WiFi from my home computer. I was running stock rom with twrp-recovery and OS h81120o for t-mobile. I tried restoring backups by twrp with no radio/network function. I installed
twrp-3.0.2-0-h811.img
android_device_lge_h811-android-5.1.zip
G4-H811-MM-20i-Stock-Debloated-Rooted.zip
G4-H811-MM-20o-Stock-Debloated-Rooted.zip
G4-H811-MM-20o-Stock-Rooted in this order with nothing different working in network connection and radio off. I finally installed LG-H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip and it said installed successful yet when restarted the phone bricked. No power on, nothing. I received than same notice for my rooted Samsung galaxy tab 4 8.1 and declined it and am still running fine there. Any thoughts?
Hey,
I was in the exact same boat and almost gave up!
Got my LG back from repair and I rooted it then made a back up, everything was working fine. Flashed a new ROM and updated SuperSU, was not able to get a signal or mobile connection after that. IMEI Number was now NULL. I tried factory reset but still nothing can get the network signal back. Even restoring back to my back up did not work.
I read that if you flashed the LG-H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip you will brick so I avoided that. I finally found the solution and maybe this will work for you.
Download LG UP and your kdz file (H81120o_00_0613.kdz was mine) on your pc.
Set phone into Download mode by pressing volume up and connect to PC.
Open LG UP and load the KDZ path file and run. Phone should reboot and come back. My signal came back after this.
I hope this method works for you.
Best of luck!
