I flashed stock 5.1.1, then flashed ROOT and last flashed TWRP 3.0.0. With last TWRP it cause botloop on logo screen. So, I flashed again ROM and ROOT but this time I flashed TWRP 2.8 and it works. I think it depends on TWRP version.

1st i tried it with the 2.8 = bootloop crash

3rd flashed stock XXU1BOK7 cause of some other crashes, then twrp 3.0, then root, custom Kernel (tried CurtisMJ and dj_steves), and at last xposed for touchwiz by wanam (2015.12.17) = works great w/o crashes ?

Hi Advance Users
here is my tutorial
Requirements:
1.CWM v8 (v9 is too buggy cant install anything) https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319202183
2.UPDATED ROOT :http://download.chainfire.eu/376/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.89.zip
3.Working CWM or any recovery
Flash Leaked ROM
Flash Root
Then Flash CWM v8
Turn off
Flash kernel from the leaked rom zip via fastboot
Reboot!!
Then cheers!!! your phone is rooted with cwm installed
Dont Forget to Give "Thanks"
i see the leaked Rom has no CWM installed.
so how could i flash the ROOT zip ??
im stuck, Jai
Use a kernel with cwm already, such nk or cm based. Then directly flash JB kernel afterwards. But flashing root and cwm before booting the room is more convenient as op instructed. Great.

You don't have to do this, since the ROM's zip flashes the kernel too

Thanks for the link. I was able to download and install but threw my device into a boot loop. Luckily I was able to reflash Emotion Kernel and boot right back up. Could the ROM Rapture 8.2 be the cause of this bootloop?

reflash your rom or push a 6.o kernel to your phone and flash it.
before you make anymore mods to your phone, you want to make a backup within twrp recovery, in case you end up like this. then you can always restore it.

you do realize that when flashing kernels, that you dont have to reflash supersu(if you already have root)? :silly:

I was (am) under the impression that after every kernel flash superSU had to be flashed too At least with 6.0.1.

well, im not on 6.0.1, im on 6.0, and i flashed a kernel yesterday without flashing supersu, and i still have root. in theory, on 6.0.1, it should still be the same, as your supersu doesnt get removed when you flash another kernel. but, im not perfect, so i guess i could be wrong when it comes to 6.0.1

https://github.com/CyanogenMod (CyanogenMod source)
https://github.com/Sony-Kitakami (place in .repo/local_manifests )
Build:
Code:
source build/envsetup.sh
lunch cm_sumire-userdebug
mka clobber && mka recoveryimage RECOVERY_VARIANT=twrp
Thanks to @moonbutt74 for bearing with me and all my questions :silly:
Not Working on E6633 , When I power on the device , Sony logo show and the device power off immediately

Hello,
I've had the same issue than Sony guy (the device which power off after few seconds on the Sony logo), but I've had correctly flashed this recovery... I don't understand
Any idea ? I have also an E6633.
Thx

Sorry, I misspoke xD
I flashed it as a recovery btw.
But, by "it works Successfully", what did you mean ? You can access on the recovery or you can boot on CM13 ?
Indeed, my device power off not after the flash of the kernel and the recovery, but AFTER the flash of the CM13 + GApps.
So, if by "success" you meant that you can boot totally on CM13, which ROM and which kernel did you flashed ?
But if it concerned the recovery only, this is good, I have the same result than you x)

Yeah I can boot into cm13
I used cm13 rom , cm kernel and this recovery
I flash GAPPS after the rom and I get setup wizard FC
so I did factory reset and then it works fine without problem

Okay, I don't understand why, but for booting on CM, I had to reflash the kernel !
Without it, my device power off one second after the Sony logo
It finally works, thanks you
Hi,
Are you able to make one for the Z5P??
some of us are still stuck at ver 2.8.
also, i have used your root kernel program with the lastest twrp and it can boot into recovery, since i am using a custom kernel, i think it will be nice if there is a flashable img file for the latest twrp.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi guys, noob question here: I have twrp old version, can I flash this in recovery?
And also I want to try the xz rom but tried flashing and didn't work, it is my understanding that it was caused by the old twrp and using this I'll be able to use that rom.
Thank you for your help.
