Microphone muted during phone call - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on a fresh installation of cm-12.1-20160225-NIGHTLY. When calling someone, my microphone is sometimes muted, often it happens a few minutes into the call. This happens both when using the microphone of my wired headset and with the internal microphone. Any idea on how to solve this?

It looks like this is reproducable, the microphone is switched off as soon as the screen goes dark. Is this a known bug, e.g. in Cyanogenmod?

OK, I am speaking to myself here, but maybe it will help someone else. Googling for the error revealed the same problem for a One Plus X user: Mic mute issue on earphones when the screen turns off
It helped to switch off "from any screen" in Google Now.

Intermittent ear piece problem

Hi
My diamond has fault whereby sometimes the earpiece won't give out any sound, when this happens I have to enable the speaker to make a call. Sometimes a hard reboot fixes it and sometimes it does not, occasionally multiple reboots will sort it.
Is this a known problem with a solution or does anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Nobody?
Have tried all the usual search functions etc.
I have Diamond2 and have the same no sound problem in earpiece. I cannot hear any incoming call sound in earpiece except turning on the speaker. I have forwarded my unit to the repair centre for fixing and waiting for the return and the reason.

[QA] Phone randomly mutes when on calls

Hopefully someone else has encountered this issue and fixed it:
I'm on a call and the mic will randomly mute and the caller cannot hear me. The phone hasn't muted but selecting and deselecting the mute icon doesn't fix it leaving me no other option but to hang up and call back. Along with this it looks as if the proximity sensor is whacked out where my cheek will push so many buttons but I haven't moved at all.
I appreciate any help you can give.

I have to press the speaker icon once and nothing happens because at that time the phone starts loud speaker (Which is already turned on) and then i press it again to turn it off and everything is back to normal.
During a single call this can happen multiple times
And I have tried clear cache partition and factory reset from the setting and factory reset from bootloader

same problem here.... help please ... its very anoying
try turning off the smart gestures where when you put the phone to your ear it auto switches, etc... or use a headset or bluetooth
i too had this issue before. when you google this issue, apparently many are experiencing it. what i did was to off the microphone permission for my voice recording app. if you have call recording app or voice recording app, you may wish to see if there is any setting regarding to microphone or speaker.
