Hi all.
I just tried to switch to CM 12.1 with my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active (GT-i9295) but got stucked at the cwm recovery.
Now it work like this: when I hold the volume up+power+home button, the little short phrase about the recovery appears in the top left corner, but after a while, when it usually started showing the recovery tool, the screen just turns black.
Is there any way to fix this? I tried installing the cwm an twrp again throung Odin, but it did not solve the issue and now it even shows that the installation was unsuccessfull. I am still able to access the original Samsung UI after some time waiting, but I wanted to get rid of that in the first place...
Please help, if you can!
Thanks a lot...

Right so the problem is thus, I am running MIUI 1.9.23 and used rom manager to install CWM. I was then able to boot to CWM from rom manager but if I turn my phone off and try and boot by holding vol down and power the phone will show the S/W updating standard LG recovery.
Now this wouldn't be a problem but I regularly mess round with my phone and it means that if i am unable to boot to my ROM then I can't boot to recovery and I have to reflash the stock ROM with smartflash. This all seems rather counter-intuitive.
Anyone know how i can rectify the situation?
You're doing it wrong
Hold both power and volume till the blue LG logo appears.
Ahh man that was dumb, I'm coming from the desire where you can release everything pretty much immediately. Cheers
Ahaha... Before I did something worse..
I hold it until the menu appeared, then I release, and rebooted!
(because "Reboot" is the first upper menu )
Hello people,
I have an issue with my Phone (i9305) which came to exist doing a factory reset in the normal settings menu (not in recovery).
I rebooted in TWRP recovery, but it's stuck in boot (screen flashes "TEAMWIN" screen over and over)
I wanted to redo the TWRP using Odin3, but it doesn't reconize the phone.
I did find a helpfull post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974160&page=3 (top post, #21), but the boot with dubbel volume buttons doesn't do anything different for me (other device thing maybe, or what buttons do I all need to press, when to release??).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get TWRP running normally again so I am not stuck with a brick?
Any help will be appreciated!
hi, i have recently tried rooting my Note 5 by flashing spacex kernel, so first i had to install a custom recovery i used "twrp-3.0.2-0-nobleltetmo.img (1).tar" . i installed via odin and rebooted into recovery. Once i rebooted into it i had a message with "installing update" or something like that with an android figure and then it changed to the robot laying down with a triangle with the message "no command". i tried rebooting the phone out of recovery but it just looped back to the same message
ps. the power button on the note 5 is not responsive, and it is 32gb tmobile
thanks to anyone who can help

You could flash an official update.zip from Samsung and see if that works
What device model do you have? You must've flashed the wring twrp or something, it looks like you flashed the TMobile Version. Are you in T-Mobile?
if you can see that robot lying around... its mean you did not success to flash the twrp. it still stock recovery. try push vol button up/down several time and see if the stock recovery menu appear or not.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 on 5.1.1 (Sprint SM-G920P)
I tried downloading and failing to install xposed stupidly. So then it was stuck on a bootloop. I then again stupidly did a factory reset thinking that it'll fix the problem (but it only got worst in my opinion) i then flashed twrp and tried to install the uninstall for xposed but i couldnt uninstall it because it wasnt any data folder to put it in since i ****ing did a factory reset. Anyways then i got frustrated and did an advanced wipe and cleared all the data... I am now just stuck on the "samsung galaxy s6 ... Powered by android" screen and i need help . I literarlly tried everything
Black and white Samsung logo showed up.
Initially I could only get to blue Downloading screen
By observing and trying various described ways I finally got to the Android recovery menu.
My current procedure to get there is here:
Turn off holding Down+Power
The b/w Samsung logo will automatically come up and stay that way forever
Hold Down+Power+Home until screen goes black and move finder from Down to UP while still holding the Power+Home
as soon as black and white Samsung logo comes up AND continue holding UP+Power+Home until Android flashes and recovery menu comes up.
Then I did go through the described wipe cash, and factory reset and some more wipe cash with reboot system in various combinations and always ended on black and white Samsung logo screen.
Tried to flash sboot but failed.
Then the new firmware showed up for sprint and i tried flashing 2 firmwares (G920PVPU3BOJ7_G920PSPT3BOJ7_SPR and G920PVPU3BOI1_G920PSPT3BOI1_SPR)but both succeeded but is still on the samsung logo screen
From the recovery menu only power down selection is useful as it does turn the phone off until I turn it on. The power button does not power off – it just boots back on.
Apply update from cache gives yellow text in the bottom of the scree: “APPLY_CHEK is deprecate.”
I have no clue how to use e.g. first 3 menu items.
Reboot to bootloader – just brings the b/w logo .
View log displays row upon row of things I have no clue about – pages of it.
On the very bottom of the screen – in yellow – there are two lines:
“dm-verification failed…
Need to check DRK first…”
Please help. — Max
Hey guys,
So I'm having issues trying to fix my Samsung Tab A 10.1 ( SM-T510 ).
At first I was trying to install a custom TWRP recovery image, and I had a boot loop where it kept getting stuck at the SAMSUNG splash screen(not the initial samsung boot screen that shows TAB A 10.1). I however overcame that issue by factory reseting and through some additional tinkering.
Now the part I'm starting to regret.
I tried once again to flash the custom TWRP to the tablet, but this time I forgot to tick the "autoreboot" setting off.
So ODIN shows a PASS for the flash, but now when the tablet boots its stuck in the following boot sequence:
START:
Initial Samsung boot screen asking to press power button to continue due to unknown boot image source etc
PRESS POWER
SAME INITIAL SAMSUNG BOOT SCREEN minus the power button prompt, lasts for about 3-5 seconds
REBOOT
Now I have managed to get into download mode with the tablet connected to a computer.
I CANNOT get into recovery mode to factory reset the tablet, which was the solution the last go around.
I am starting to think that the only way I am going to get the tablet back in original working order, or any working order for that matter is to:
A: LOCATE original firmware for my device, I believe it is GTAXLWIFI firmware for my device. However the files I have found don't seem to be accepted in ODIN...
B: Try to continue on with the TWRP process, which I have tried to reflash the TWRP recovery that I have, and it shows pass. But, the issue persists.
Any suggestions or help would be amazing!
Thanks!
Timing is the key
Set your finger on position where you gonna restart the device.
Hold power + vol down
After the screen restart switch soon as possible you finger to set to recovery by
Hold vol up + down + insert the USB C cable
Remember timing is the key. I have done this for several tabs that screw on my home so you are welcome bro

I think "restarts" may be confusing. Switch from down to up as soon as the screen turns off.

You can use frija.exe to get the latest stock firmware. To get TWRP you MUST boot to recovery before system. If you allow the tablet to boot to system first, it will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery. Do this by pressing vol down and power till the screen turns off. As soon as it does, switch from vol down to up while still pressing power and keep holding both till the red warning message appears. You also need to leave the cable attached to the PC while doing this.
