Is anyone having issues with the notification area being non-responsive while charging? I have tried both wireless and wired, and both with the same issue.
When you pick the phone up from the wireless charger, or unplug the charging cord, the phone wakes up. If you try to pull down the notification area, is does nothing. Swipe left and right, open app tray, use volume keys; it all works fine. Just the swipe down for the notification is the only issue.
To get past this, I have to turn off the screen and turn it back on, then once I swipe unlock, it works fine.
Can anyone shed some light for me?

Last night my tackball was notifying me perfectly fine.
I charged my phone over night, woke up this morning and responded to a text message (the light was blinking) and went back to sleep.
I woke up two hours later to a text and email and the trackball was not blinking and no longer does for any notifications (text, email, kik).
I've gone into settings and disabled/reenabled "Pulse notification light" and reset the phone to no avail. The LED physically works because it flashes white upon boot up, but for some reason it's not lighting up for notifications.
Running stock 2.3.3 unrooted
Solutions?
after a restore the notification light blinks repeatedly only if the screen is off. if you get the notification while the screen is on it doesn't go off at all.
once you turn the screen on (if you just flash it on and off), even if you don't unlock the phone and pull down the notification screen, the notification blinking stops completely.
pulse notification light is still checked...
hi today my htc one's screen stopped responding. i noticed after i plugged it in to charge and off a couple of times, now the screen is unresponsive. i cant swipe to unlock the phone or anything. if i wait a while and leave it to charge, it will work a little. hardware buttons work fine it's just the screen itself. anyone know a fix or the reason behind this? thanks.
Your explanation isn't very clear as to when the screen doesn't work.
I've heard issues with dodgy chargers preventing touch screen from working whilst plugged in.
If the touch screen doesn't work when no cables are plugged in, it's probably just broken.
There's a service menu you can get to with a touch screen test, I can't remember how to get there, but it also has a battery test if that makes it easier to search for. If that test fails when no cables are plugged in, it's time to get it repaired.
I was replacing LCD in my Xperia. Tested the new screen with phone opened, everything was fine. Started assembly, one last test to make sure everything is working and the phone won't torn on. So I plug it in. Everything as usual. Red led. After some time I try to turn in on and it just won't. When I hold power button there is this short vibration like it is turning on just fine, but screen is black and I can keep turning it on ( single vibration over and over).
I tried both resets.
LED light is now green. So battery should be full.
Any idea what I could done wrong?
Old screen wont work either. It worked before.
The screen is broken. when i plug the phone to the computer it makes a sound. Any idea how to reapair this? i did not damage the screen.
Hi, bridge THIs coil. 100% working, done dozen times.
I have my phone set for screen to wake when a notification comes in. Is there not a way to have the notification appear at intervals until I dismiss? The way it works now is, screen will wake when a notification comes in, and stays on briefly, then goes off...and that's it. Am I to understand that unless I notice that one brief notification, the only way to see if I have an email/text/etc is to open the phone and look? No notification light and one measly, brief notification? Is that it? Help!

This is a minor gripe of mine as well. Plenty of forehead but no notification light. CleanSlate kernel has this option but I haven't tried it out yet

That's what the always on display is for. In your case, double tap to wake would work too.

Hey guys,
So I am using GoodLock Routines and I have this routine that sets AOD to 'always show' mode as long as I am charging my phone and I have it set to 'tap to show' while I am not charging the phone. This used to work perfectly before the OneUI 2.5 update. Now when I plug the phone to charge it and the screen is off and locked the AOD shows up for 1 second but then disappears. Can anyone else try this to confirm if it's an issue with the update or it's just me? I also tried to sideload Bixby Routines but it does exactly the same there as well.
If anyone knows a way to show my lockscreen for 1 second when I plug in my phone to charge that could also be a fix as the bug only happens when I plug my phone to charge with the screen off. If I plug it with the screen on and then lock it the AOD remains on as it should.
PS: I am not rooted and won't root so need a non-root method for the screen wake-up part. I tried Tasker with SecureSettings but it's a hit or miss, 1 time it works, then it doesn't.
