So I'm running cm13.1 on my note 4 and I just installed the twrp manager and it told me to allow it to flash twrp 3.0.0 on the device, so I did. Then, when I attempted to reboot it, it is just stuck on the first load screen. Help!!! Also, I don't have access to a windows computer at the moment.
What is the first load screen? the samsung load screen or the CM13.1 loading screen?
How are you running CM13.1 ? the only version I see for T-mobile note 4 on CM website is 12.1

Hi everyone,
i was often looking here to get info on mobile devices. Now i can't find a solution at this.
Since some days i've this problem with my GT-I900 : when device is off and i turn it on it won't startup fast. I see samsung logo, then monitor go black and then i see the logo again (custom rom 2.3.6). It can happen that it makes this 3 times and then device go on, it can happen it takes 1 hour to startup.
I've triend several different roms with Odin installation or from "install from zip file" and cwm. Only installation with Odin (custom roms) were succesfully. Installation from zip files were succesfully only with cyanogenmod even if , one time started device, the system could not "Encrypt" the handy (cyanogenmod rev. 9) or i got request to insert an encryption password (rev. 10).
What i can check to find a way to solve this?
Greetings,
Lorenzo
Now it wont startup anymore, just samsung logo then black screen then logo again. I have really no idea of how to solve this.
I don't think encryption ever worked on our phones, but I might be wrong.
As for slow start up, does this still happen if you flash a new odin rom? Are they stock roms?

Hi,

Have a good day
I attempted to install android 4.4 on my Kindle Fire HD 7 using C11 but when I tried to reboot the system after flashing and etc I was asked if I wanted my device to be rooted as it wasn't already, (Not knowing what to do I just hit yes.) in the video I watched the guy wasn't asked that. After I tried to reboot I've seen been stuck at the blue recovery screen. Please help! (Sorry in advance I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff.)

Since you can still access the recovery screen, try wiping and re-installing CM.

I actually don't have access to the menu, when I said screen I meant to say boot logo I just didn't know the term for it, sorry for not being specific enough. But yeah when I boot I get the normal red kindle boot logo then it switches to the blue one and stays that way.

Right so when you power the Kindle on and you see the yellow kindle boot animation, hold the volume up rocker. Keep holding it and the blue TWRP boot animation will show. Continue holding the volume rocker up for three seconds and release. You should enter TWRP. Now flash whatever ROM is on your internal memory. Otherwise just adb sideboard a ROM while in TWRP.

That worked for getting back into the menu but unfortunately I still couldn't boot up cm11 it asked me again if I wanted supersu installed and I got the same thing, I was able to revert back to the normal os by factory resetting and restoring the backup and I'm not able to connect the kindle to my pc anymore to transfer data. : ( Oh and when I boot up I get the normal boot logo then the blue then it actually starts to boot up, it's really weird.
UPDATE
So I decided to do a full wipe while in the recovery menu because I kept getting messages about installing supersu and stuff while in the normal os, I ended up with no os and since I can't mount it onto my pc I think I bricked it to the point of no return. : /

no u didnt lol. try plugging it into ur comp, in twrp recovery. I remember u need to have adb working, if not, uninstall it and install it again. it should show the kindle. then download rom of choice on computer in a folder and use adb push to move it to ur kindle. I cant find the thred someone made for fixing this but i beleive its like "adb push romexample.zip /sdcard/" without quotes, in command prompt. u also need to do that for the gapps.

Go into settings and select storage. Now tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner and tab USB CONNECTION. Now select which one you want.

It could be a driver issue. Are you running Windows 8/8.1?

Nope win 7 also whenever I plug it in it shows up in my devices as MTP and has a driver issue, tried uninstalling and re installing but windows cant find drivers for it.
*conclusion*
I had my tablet plugged in for a few minutes and after a while it was recognized as a nexus 7 and automatically installed drivers, I'm good to go now. Thanks again to everyone that posted. : D

did you load a recovery for gt-I8190?
that is probably why it didn't work since your phone is a different model
load stock firmware from your phone and always be sure to read careful what device is supported for anything you install on your phone

Is there any way to do this without Odin? For some reason Heimdall (I'm on linux) cannot see my phone, is this because I can't actually boot? Presumably the computer cannot connect to the phone until after the phone has booted? I can get into recovery but have the black screen issue.
Thanks!
edit: Update if I remove the SIM I can boot the phone (CM11 is lovely!) but I still cant connect to it with heimdall.. is there any way to update the .img from the phone?

Well did you install Samsung USB Drivers on it?
Hi razdomn,
Show did you install gapps on cm11?
When i install the ROM, i have 18 MB free on /system, which isn't enough.
I also have the black screen when I put on the sim. Will Odin fix this?

Well it will. First flash the stock rom. Then flash Galaxy y modem and then install cyanogenmod 11

The link is dead. I have the same problem. Please reupload it.
I installed a new 5.1 rom and now when I boot up I only get a black screen. If I press and hold the power button I get a notification asking me if I want to power off my device. So I know the screen works. It works fine in recovery and the boot screen.
Did I not format a partition properly? I have tried 2 different roms and they both do the same thing.
Thank you
It works now. I have no idea what I did. I just installed a rom again and it work.
I almost think it had something to do with the new security thing for android when your phone gets stolen.
Kinda sounds like the ROM did not install correctly, glad you got it working with another flash!

Don't downgrade to 5.0.X or you will be bricked.

The same thing is happening to me..
Same here. I even flashed stock LMY47E to make sure the radio and bootloader were installed ok. Any time I wipe a 5.1 rom and install another (or even the same ROM), I get a black screen after it boots. What is weird though is if I flash a 5.02 rom (I flashed Terminus) and then wipe, it loads fine.

How can that brick a Nexus? I would think flashing any supported version would run just fine being a Nexus and all?
