[ROM] CyanogenMod 13.0 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow [KLTESPR/KLTEDV] [UNOFFICIAL] [Nightlies]

Introduction
-- These are UNOFFICIAL builds based of CM-13.0 for kltespr (CDMA) variant and KLTEDV . By NO means this is my ROM. 100% credits goes to
TeamDouche, and all other coders who contributed to CyanogenMod.
I noticed that alot of sprint users were anxious about not having any updates in awhile and figured I could do this for them. I
understand alot of people prefer pure cyanogenmod (like myself), especially given the support of some very nice kernels which often dont
work on other cyanogenmod based, but modified roms. Ive been doing my own nightlies for my klte varient and figured it wouldnt hurt to
help a few others out who arent getting the updates like fingerprints etc!!!!

FAQ
What Phone does this support?
At the moment these builds are only for the sprint version (cdma) of the samsung s5! I may add other variants of klte in the near future!
*Added KLTEDV
When will I get a new build?
I don't know and please don't ask for etas. As I stated I do this in my spare time but will do my best to keep up and at least make sure you guys are getting updated nightlies upon any of the more important, larger updates!

I've only posted the build in the second post. Seems the person speaking of another build was regarding a different variant. My androidfilehost account has been approved so I should have a updated build soon. A lot of people were using this build although one person had issues with play store services from gapps. As far as I know open gapps is recommend but I do not own device to test so when everyone lets me know which works I'll share it in first post.

got it thanks
I tried flashing the rom but I am unable to finish setup due to Google Play Store stopping. I saw in the other thread that you were having issues compiling newer builds, Would it be possible for you to do an older one (0325 specifically?)
FYI I dirty flashed over 0216 and it was working fine but I could not get the fingerprint reader to work. I tried a completely clean install (initially with the 1227 gapps from the other thread, OpenGApps stock, micro, nano, and pico) and ran into the Play Store has stopped issue. The initial CM setup gets just past "Enable WiFi" and it tries to check for app updates and will not go further.
My understanding as of now is that all the variant recent nightlies broke gapps and has now been fixed. There's a recent commit regarding sprint that I believe is breaking the build . I haven't had enough time to look into it but will continue to try sync & builds. As far as dirty flash w no fingerprints, I dirty flashed and mine didn't work either. I went to settings, apps and cleared cache on each app, rebooted and its ran fine since. The app cache doesn't get wiped in the clear cache & dalvik steps, its not stored on the cache partition. I tend to do it manually every dirty flash. I'm watching to see if the commit is flagged or reverted due to breaking other sprint builds.

Also thanks for letting me know it gets stuck at app updates on setup. The sprint commit regarded the radio ril files, perhaps it simply can't connect.

Which app caches did you clear for it to start working? I set it up under lock screen. When I try to unlock I get one "Not Recognized!" error then it just fails to work (swipe just makes the lockscreen bounce) until I unlock and relock.
I am not super worried about the fingerprint reader so no matter either way. Thanks for everything! Feel free to let me know if you need any more information/testing.
I'm syncing sources now to attempt to compile again tonight, hope it works! I basically just go down the list and clear cache to most system items & apps I use frequently.

There is a function in Titanium backup to clear cache for all user and system apps. I have not used it for any MM roms, but have had good luck with it in the past.
Thanks, I actually found that and tried it but it didn't help.
Well the latest sources build failed again. I'm not sure they host previous dated sources either. I'm just leaving a funeral now but I'll try to take a look at commits from the 26th build that was fine til the 28th I believe was the next one I tried that broke. I'll attempt the build again and review the errors. If I can find it I'll build WO that commit.

New build up, please see second post. Let me know which gapps everyone goes with but i think opengapps is idea, I usually use the pico on my klte. I'll link the gapps in the 2nd post when we decide which one works best.

Works perfectly with Open GApps micro, sent a small donation much appreciated for the Sprint builds. It's becoming tougher to find a vanilla build of CM13 for Sprint.

Thanks for continuing support for this device, I sure appreciate it.
Glad to hear its working well for everyone and thank you so much for the donations! I'll use any donations to go toward adding some more ram to my system! I use my PC as a media center and a virtual box in windows 10 with everything else running chews up some resources! I do not own the device so I can't really take the "maintainer" status. I will however ensure you updates from time to time just not a everyday thing. I'm going to look into a few other klte variants as well and may add them to this thread.

Flashed the latest build with opengapps pico. Everything seems to be working fine except for a flashlight bug when toggled forces a restart and bootloop. Other than that, thank you dev! Your're the real deal.
I thought the flashlight issue had been fixed. It is getting harder to get an updated build, issue also the maintainers team, which they done great job, just not that active/up to date recently. Which sux..

NIGHTLY BUILDS
Are HIGHLY experimental. Do not post issues to the issue tracker. Chances are the CM team already knows about the issue and are working to fix it. Be patient flash the next nightly. Complaning about battery life or any number of issues will not change a thing as to that these are EXPERIMENTAL builds!!!
M-Series
Something we have learned over the past few months is that if you don’t release, someone else will do it for you. Since we are open-source, we absolutely encourage it! Unfortunately, the quality of unofficial builds can vary, and we are serious about quality. Of course nightlies are always available, but we realized that having something that is a bit more stable on a more frequent basis is important. Starting now, we are rolling out our M-Series releases. M-Series builds will be done at the beginning of every month. We did a soft freeze of the codebase for the last week, blocking new features in order to stabilize. Our plan is to continue this (assuming that the response is good) up until stable release, and onward.
We aren’t exactly sure what M stands for. “Monthly”, “milestone”, or perhaps “MINE ALL MINE!”. Whatever it is, I hope that we are meeting the needs of community.
M-Series builds will be available under the EXPERIMENTAL tag. The filename will include the date stamp as well as the M version. These builds should be stable enough for daily use, and we encourage feedback and bug reports.
RELEASE CANDIDATE
Everything is believed to be working at the time of release.

Apparently they pulled it down because too many 4.1 users were flashing it and messing up their device.

Flashed this first official nightly over the top of the last unofficial build, as I had just recently done a full wipe and couldn't be bothered doing another one. Everything working fine.
Love the newly-ported notification bar settings from CM10 to CM10.1 for circular battery with percentage, etc, which wasn't in latest unofficial build.
Looking forward to daily flashes now!

Flash this gapps. It should get Wallet working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
I use it allready as a daily driver. Have installed it yesterday at 3pm and no issue till now...

Edit:
New Version Online... will install it^^
Installed 29th Build with wiping cache only.
Works flawless but still needs some localizations (I'm from germany and still many of the string in settings are englisch) but it's lower priority...
Didn't see anything new in it so mainly bugfixes I think

It's rock solid, just as fast and smooth as stock, and the only things missing are some CM10 features that have yet to be ported over to CM10.1. It's brilliant, don't hesitate in trying it and using it as a daily driver.

After you select your language and press the white triangle it reads " Welcome...please wait a few minutes" for a minute or so...the the screen goes black except for the status bar and the backlights on the hardware keys stay on.

Yes. If you notice, I closed the individual variant threads and put a direct link to this thread. Basically, you can see a list of supported variants by checking this:
https://github.com/omnirom/android_device_samsung_jflte/blob/android-4.4/BoardConfig.mk#L129
That is the list of device asserts that the updater-script will accept.

I just flashed the 05/28 nightly (on my jfltespr) with the 4-16 Minimal PA Gapps with absolutely no errors. This most definitely sounds like a Gapps problem to me, since the SetupWizard is not packaged or built with the ROM, but instead flashed with Gapps. This is why if you were to NOT flash a Gapps package, you don't have to run through it.

Hello Jakew02
I moved over to your latest rom yesterday the 5/29 nightly and i came across a couple issues.
i have been using cm mod since the days of android cupcake and decided to try this out.
1st issue is when im trying to lower the phone ringer volume, it always goes to lower the sounds/music volume. it is pretty annoying because i have to make all the sliders come out and manually slide the phone ringer volume. even after switching between apps and what not it insists on lowering the music volume.
2nd issue is i cannot get the multi window to work or how to enable it. i have downloaded and installed these apps :halo)),multiwindowsidebar, toggle multiwindow, xhalo floating, xmultiwindow, and xposed installer. also the fixvisibilityofmultiplenonulls. Any help on getting it to work will be appreciated. i am very new to this feature since ive never had it in CM since i thought u couldnt get it, only on Stock Samsung roms.
lastly, is there any way to add shortcuts to the unlock slider like in cm?
thanks

These aren't issues or bugs at all; you just haven't looked around the settings.
all of your questions can be answered by just looking through the settings.

jakew02 said:
i have stated multiple times that kernel developers will need to begin released "omni-based" kernels.
I WILL NOT alter this ROM to accommodate custom kernels. the kernels need to change to be compatible with the ROM.
Custom kernels will not just magically start working. Kernel developers need to remove the flo adreno drivers and related commits from their kernels. If they don't know which commits those are, they can simply cherry-pick this commit: https://github.com/omnirom/android_kernel_samsung_jf/commit/068449af3996f1072c80dcc4a09a88af43abd7f7
contained in that commit is all of the reverts needed to make a cyanogenmod-based kernel work with Omni.
I have spoken with @Entropy512 about this a few times and we both agreed that we will NOT be altering the ROM in order to this one device to be able to use flo adreno stuff. That's just stupid and causes more work and problems for everyone else.
So the bottom line on this is, if you want a custom kernel, ask your kernel devs to cherry-pick the above commit and release Omni kernels separately from CM-based one.
If anyone has a problem with this, well, gerrit is free to use and open to all.
As before I will use this comparison to better justify my decision:
You wouldn't buy a Playstation controller(an accessory) to use with your Xbox(a primary), once you get home and realize it doesn't work because it's designed for something other than what you have, you call Microsoft and demand that they make the Xbox(primary) work with Playstation controllers(accessory)?
Absolutely Not. If ANYTHING, you would call Sony and demand that they make their controllers(accessory) work with the xbox system.
Hope this clarifies that issue a little better for everyone.
Also on another note:
I have narrowed down the camera preview freeze down to one repository

Jake the only reason I asked was because I did a bit of testing for you where the testbuild had support for custom kernels and you said that it should be fixed and you would push the change when you could. I even followed up with you at a later time and you said you hadn't had time/inclination to do it yet. I'm not demanding anything of you and I didn't want to bug you with the issue so I asked someone else who was in similar territory. Had I known about your changed stance on the issue, I wouldn't have brought it up.

Yes, great work man, waiting for first build to pop out .... Thank you very much, finally official nightly with support from the legend codeworkx
I'm glad this is up
Thanks!
Am I going crazy over here or Gapps just won't work for me with this build?
I did a full wipe, installed the nightly, then installed PA Gapps and gapps just crash like crazy right after boot.
I then did a full wipe again, installed the rom, installed banks gapps hoping it will work this time, but NOPE, it doesn't bite...
Here's me doing a full wipe again, installing the rom and waiting for it to boot, then reboot to recovery, flash Gapps, but same thing happens. Setup wizard crashes and everything else gapps-related crashes too... This is a lot of fun! I'll keep trying to fix the problem, but I'd also welcome suggestions. ^_^

Yeah, mobile data is not working for me too, just noticed it coming home from work...
P.S.
Is Gapps working for you and if yes, which package?
Flashed the nightly, after a system/data wipe. I get stuck on setup wizard and google vocal assistant (if I remember the name) force closing, after entering my SIM PIN, regardless if I flash latest KK GApps, LP ones or nothing at all apart from the ROM. Is there anything I'm missing, that I should be aware of?

I dirty flash over whiteneo home build .... Try gapps in whiteneo thread....
PS I return to home build
Try these gapps: http://d-h.st/YQG
It worked! I also wiped system, this time, so I really don't know what made it work, but I'm proceeding in the setup wizard now. Thanks!

Same here. I cannot manage to install gapps.
And I also enabled the root access via developer settings, but didn't work. The xperia T just freezes when I try to get the root access in an app. :silly:
For a moment after flashing the latest nightly I seemed to have mobile data working. While setting up my phone with the initial setup wizard, "3G" appeared on the signal icon and little arrows went back and forth. That lasted seconds, then was replaced by an esclamation mark and there was no mobile data ever since...
cm12 nightlies stopped till data is fixed.

I am running latest LOS nightly and run substratum with no issues so far, at least that I can tell.
Just want to understand what this is providing, and if I am missing something.

While substratum works on lineage your in legacy only mode and many features cant be used or crash. I regularly had to use the substratum removal tool when doing updates on the regular substratum rom then setup my theme again. This provides support for boot animations, sound packs, apply without reboots , fonts, apply & build/update etc. OMS is fully baked into the rom to support each and every feature without issue and without issue while updating.

I see, thank you.
I haven't really done much with Substratum besides load my single theme pack that makes things look the way I expect.
So far stability for me has been decent. I usually run an app called 'Twilight' to weak lighting. I notice more crashing when running this combo.
If you are providing these awesome features and the platform to integrate LOS and Substratum correctly, are you planning on opening a PR on LOS repo? Maybe they will merge your good work.
Be well.
It all depends on the popularity of the ROM and rather it stays close to stock as possible or ventures far away. If things take off I'll use polls to let users decide. As far as you mentioning no issues I'm assuming you were using the swift dark or swift black (forget name) that everyone else was? That was the only stable one I found. Many other themes I absolutely loved but it was only a matter of time before a bootloop, odd issues or an update leading to a bootloop then setting the theme up all over again. You also couldn't use fonts or boot animations as well as required reboots to apply the themes. I'm back on my backup now to get the last of my data to switch to lineageOMS full time and continue to work on it. I planned to build it for myself but felt others may appreciate it shared. I've already synced back up to do a new build as well as I need to make a few small changes.

No but I'm actually trying to find the ROM (I think its Korean variant?) That it does work on. I found one that says volte works so I'm going to try to merge it. If it looks like I can do it you may see bits and pieces of it in future variants. I'm forking sources over now to have a look at their ims manager. I've looked before and seen different carriers use the same imsmanager, I think its going to be more merging and getting the CSC files right. Its not priority though.
For now the ROM is pure vanilla so it does everything lineage official for klte variants do and don't do anything they don't (except full support for substratum).

Can you tell me how you do that and is sending of all file types supported again by official LOS?
because currently I use ResurrectionRemix 5.8.3 on my KLTE and Samsung Galaxy Tab S device but there I am not able to send any type of files via BT, allthough it worked in older builds (not all type of files but zip files worked for example).
Many thanks

You should be allowed to send select few files like music on your ROM. I just did a dirty hack to bypass the black filter (not allowed file types). I'm trying to trace back to where we lost the option w the checkbox to send all files but its time consuming and I've only gotten so far. Seems we have the code to support it but lost the GUI part with the option in the 13 to 14 update

If official lineage support so does mine. Kltespr was merged w klte right? I think my first page says it does. You will need to clean flash but I'm may try to make a migration build for dirty flashers like Me. Boeffla runs fine on it, I'm using it.

Thank you. I was looking at your list, and maybe I am not understanding what type of merging you are referring to, but there are separate builds in the official LOS website for klte, kltespr, klteduos, kltekor, and kltedv. The ones that have been merged into klte from your list are klteusc and kltevzw. And, using my G900P (sprint variant) as an example, as far as I know, I am not supposed to flash a build other than kltespr. This is a list of the devices that continue to have their own separate builds (latest 08/02):
kltespr: https://download.lineageos.org/kltespr
kltekor: https://download.lineageos.org/kltekor
klteduos: https://download.lineageos.org/klteduos
kltedv: https://download.lineageos.org/kltedv
I'll see what I can do tonight about spinng you a build. I was building for kltespr, kltedv, kltevz and another before lineage was official. Pretty sure I can get one going for you sprint guys but I don't know they move CDMA to klte and leave out sprint . locked BL?

Good work @omgbossis21. Though I'm not a big fan of substratum and themes, it will be nice to see more options for kltexxx devices. As @eurohunter said, I think most of the klte variants need separate builds except kltevzw and klteusc (those are already merged with klte). I don't know exactly about kltespr, klteduos, kltedv etc, but I'm fully sure that the klte build will not boot (instead, directly go to download mode) on my kltekor (due to significantly different device tree as well as a slightly different kernel) unless the users will flash a compatible kltekor stock/custom kernel on the top of the klte ROM. You may probably clarify those things in the op.
Code:
What phones will this support?
At the moment these builds should support KLTE,KLTEDUOS,KLTEDV,KLTEKOR,KLTESPR,KLTEUSC & KLTEVZW
Btw, It will be really great, if you add some simple but useful apps (like OmniSwitch, OmniJaws etc.) to the ROM. You can easily find the sources from RR/crDroid github repos. And if possible, may be pixel like blue accent color. Such simple changes make this ROM really unique. These are just my suggestions. Of-course, all these things are up to your choice and decision. Thanks a lot, anyway, and keep up the good work...

Thanks I appreciate that. I originally made it for my wife and as we like the themes but unless you stratmy far from lineage or use what little theme support it has, you can't do much. I considered changing colors but I think its best to leave it up to selected themed especially since you can mix and match them. As far as app I have some plans for that up my sleeve. My isp is still down after getting home from work so I'll have to build a kltesor ROM tomorrow. I'll do one for any other build requested as well, otherwise other variants come in my free time. I'm still curious if my bluetook hack fix worked, may need to update my phone to find out! I'm also all for boeffla kernel and viper audio so as things pick up more and more I'll let users vote via polls. A few cherrypicks on the other ROMs isn't a bad idea either!

I'm guessing a kernel for Lineage OS 15.1 wouldn't work with Lineage OS 14.1 ? I'm not ready to make the leap onto Oreo yet, but I'll be damned if I can find a good, non-stock kernel for LOS 14.1 on my SM-T217S. I've tried repeatedly to compile my own from all the sources that are readily available, but the OS just hangs saying that Lineage OS is starting... and that's just the stock source with the specific commits for this device. I can't figure out if it's the toolchain I'm using or what.
Thanks for the time and effort that you've put into this, though. Having begun to try to do this kind of thing myself has really given me a new appreciation for the work that you and other XDA members do. Hopefully one day I'll be compiling my own ROM builds for y'all too.

Kernel source compiles based upon device. The kernel from 14.1 or 15.1 should be interchangeable. If the ROM boots to the initial screen then its probably not a kernel issues but another issue why it won't boot. You have to take a adb log and look at the output to determine why its hanging.

With SIM inserted I see a persistent notification atop the notification panel that says No SIM card - No service. When I remove and re-insert the SIM, the message remains. Because of this I am unable to toggle cellular data on and off using the status bar Mobile data switch or in Settings-Mobile Network. All items are greyed out under Settings-Mobile Network. When I access the "Testing" menu by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and then select Tablet Info I am unable to Enable Data Connection. I recall that after the first boot after flashing your ROM the Cellular setup wizard never started even after removing and reinserting the SIM card. I don't think this is relevant but I did not flash any GAPPS package. I did flash the file 2016.02.08 Freedompop_APNs_fix.zip which I obtained from a different thread and has worked on other ROMs. My SIM is for FreedomPop which uses the Sprint data network. I did collect logcat and Bug Report files to share with you if you think they may help. Let me know if I may provide any additional information. Thanks!

Thanks I will take a look at the logs. Ya I don't have a sim to insert maybe I can find a friend who has a old one lying around. Did the sim show inserted on my previous build?

It might work if you flashed a custom kernel but the blobs are slightly different so idk the answer. It would be up to you, I can't provide support as I don't have that device.

So I been looking at the radio files I used. I am thinking they would work. But they were made for a different device but do work with serranotexx which I assumed would be work with this device. Obviously I believe this is the issue, I will try to do a rebuild semi soon to see if I can sort that out. The hardware is slightly different between the s4 and this.

Not Working
It's not working for me, I'm on the Samsung galaxy tab SM-T217S (Sprint). When I try to flash it with TWRP, it says:

Skipping MD5 check: No MD5 file found
Warning: No file contexts
E3004: This package is for device: lt02lte, lt02ltespr, lt02ltetmo; this device is .
Updator process ended with ERROR: 7

Edit: FIXED, I edited the file and removed the version verification.

Reread the first page. Latest version of twrp is an absolute requirement.
