I attempted to root with cs autoroot a month ago, but it failed, so I turned off the OEM unlocker, but later on today I was restarting it and it went into a brick with the message "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock" displayed on the top of the screen and then the screen goes off again. I tried to go into recovery and reset, but the message came up again. I also tried to flash with the stock firmware, but it said that it failed. Help?

If you cannot flash the original firmware with Odin then, if you can boot to download mode, you should be able to do a firmware reinstall using Samsung Kies or Smartswitch.

Yeah I just do not know how to get my S / N for smartswitch, and I am unfamiliar with Samsung Kies (never heard of it). However, I will look up more on Samsung Kies, thank you very much! By the way, does it matter if my OEM is locked?

You can get your s/n by booting into download mode and then hitting the home button. Does not matter that oem is locked. Just download Kies and enter model number and s/n. There is a video on youtube if you need further assistance. I have done it a number of times. Once with a phone that had the entire system wiped. Once you are restored be sure to enable developer options, oem unlock and usb debugging before rooting.

No, I just flashed it with the stock firmware and haven't enabled developer options since... Was I supposed to?

If you decide you want to root and install a custom Rom then you will want to enable developer options and then OEM and USB debugging.
Thank a lot for all your help along the way, after my latest experience with root I don't know if I'm still up for it. I appreciate all the help.

Hello everyone!
I am really in a deseperate situation. My nexus 6 is in a bootloop. The biggest problem is that the bootloader is locked ( no option is ticked either) and usb debugging is not enabled. Is there any way I can reflash using fastboot or stock recovery?

No, no way to flash when locked other than trying to sideload an OTA. I suggest you boot to recovery and try a factory data reset.
Thank you for your reply. I have tried to hard reset but in vain. To sideload an OTA do I still need usb debugging enabled?

I don't think so. What version of software were you on prior to this issue? Try to grab an OTA for your current version to the next available version if possible. Otherwise, your only option, if factory reset didn't work, is to RMA.

I Got a tmobile note 4 from craiglist, Now the phone is asking me for Samsung Account Activation? is there any way i can bypass this? please, any help will be so much appreciate it.
thanks
When do you see this? Are you able to wipe it in recovery?
I would contact the person that sold it to you, they basically locked it where if it resets, you need their samsung information to unlock the device. Don't think reformatting will do anything, but you can try to reformat via Kies

I did a factory wipe recovery with the buttons pressing combination, however it still ask for the samsung account, and I can't contact the selle.
Thanks
If you can't contact the seller & they sold you a locked phone, maybe try filling a police report. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that considered fraud?
If it's just the reactivation lock though, there's a way around that.

Have you rooted the device. You should be able to wipe the Internal storage. I'd try flashing a CM based ROM.
The device should be usable still. The use probably had reactivation lock turned on that's why the Samsung account has it locked down. Also the phone itself may be stolen. You may want to check the imei if you can view it to see if it had been blacklisted.

my dude, relax, i'm not sure this would work but i see no reason why not since it completely reflashes the phone's firmware
I'm mobile at the moment and maybe someone else can link you
But you need Odin and the full tar files of the latest firmware (Cog2?) and a windows machine.
Once you have those we can walk you through the process.

The phone will be like new. It will completely reset the software. It will still be carrier locked to Tmobile.
If you want to root go here:

I purchase devices in craigslist without issues. I always very imei numbers before final purchase and never ever EVER buy phones that are not with the carrier I'm on.
I have no idea what is happening so I hope someone here can help me.
I came home today and realized that my phone didn't automatically connect to the wifi, and it forgot the password. This seemed a little suspicious because I rooted my Note 5 and installed Xposed the night before but didn't do anything major that could affect the phone in such a drastic way. This kept happening so I thought I'd do a factory reset. When that was done and my phone booted, it started lagging and I'm having frequent lag spikes now. I started re-downloading my apps but every time I retried they stopped at 100%. There was also a permanent notification saying that "unauthorized actions have been detected". I tried to flash the stock firmware with odin but odin doesn't recognize my phone and I don't know what to do now.
Thank you in advance.
Try different usb ports and restart pc, try change cable eventually - somehow your device must get recognized by pc

Yes after successfully flashing stock firmware using odin your problems will be solved as stock firmware will be installed on your phone without any root access...Though you can root your phone again but no surety that problems your facing now will come again or not after rooting again( Depends upon how successfully you root your device and which type of apps your running on your device) Caution:-flash firmware for your specific phone model with proper country csc, otherwise you will mess up with efs folder and your device...So before flashing search on forum how to flash stock firmware using odin and follow step by step process..*DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK* Just search for process of flashing stock firmware using odin..You need-pc,device,usb cable, odin,Samsung drivers installed on your pc,latest official firmware for your device and country..(http://www.galaxynote5update.com/galaxy-note5-stock-firmware/) Refer this link.If this link shows doesn't support your country, then just go to note 5 stock firmware update section through tab..
forgot PW for note 5, have not used in a while. It is on stock Nougat, USB Debug not set.
I tried the root junky realterm thing but that's not working, and I don't know if I can Odin downgrade or anything.
Any ideas how to get this thing to bypass FRP?
thanks!

Finally got it on my own. Had to Odin flash an eng sboot, then I had ADB Shell privileges so I ran a shell dd command to wipe security, which took off FRP lock as seen in DL mode, then reflashed stock. Now I've got FCs so I am going to reflash with re-partition enabled and try to basically do a full clean wipe flash and get it booted right.

Do you get the 'blocked by mdm' notice when trying to factory reset via recovery?
Also could you post the actual firmware build.
You can find it in the 'about' section.
Firmware version is 5.1.1
When I do factory reboot like how you normally would it just reboots like a fresh tablet but then Knox pops up. That's why I was wondering if I flash a firmware (if I can find one) with Odin maybe that will work.......?
